“The food and service were great. We dined here with our toddler, and the students/staff were super sweet with her. They had an off-menu dish for her and gave us a tour of the kitchen. The place is beautiful and very high quality. We had the duck, steak, autumn soup, banana pudding, kettle corn/white chocolate tart, and a yummy spicy mule. All highly recommended!“

“We had chef Brandon cater our daughters backyard graduation and it was outstanding. Everyone was complimenting the food, especially the jambalaya croquettes. My favorites were the chicken marsala and salmon Piccata. Everything was well-seasoned, flavorful and ready to be served when delivered. I would recommend chef Brandon for your catering needs. “Went to the Millbrook Cafe on a Saturday evening with my wife and sister-in-law period we started off with the seared scallops and the jumbo shrimp which were both excellent. Cooked to perfection and plentiful. Then we had the salad which was also very good and fresh. My wife had the full rack of ribs, sister in law had the avalon and shrimp, and I had the Brazilian lobster tail, shrimp and scallops. All three meals came with outstanding vegetables and red potatoes. All three meals were cooked perfectly. It is very easy to overcook lobster and shrimp but the cook was spot on, tender and juicy. Service, food and atmosphere were all top notch.
Will definitely be back!

French & Continental cuisine, pleas read on! I am Phildo the foodie and have lived & dined in the Hudson Valley for more than 40 years. I passed this place up too many times and decided to give it a whirl.
The food is super fresh. Homemade warm biscuits started our meal off complimented by a bowl of TO DIE FOR Vichyssoise soup. The soup rivaled those In Montreal & Quebec City. Perfect balance of flavors and the broth was light and filling.
My main course, Seafood in a saffron lobster broth was perfect. Large diver scallops, PEI mussels, fresh clams and shrimp. Seafood was very fresh and delicious. The broth was velvety , smooth but bursting with flavor with hints of garlic, celery and tomato.
My wife had the Seafood crepe. Diver scallops, shrimp, mushrooms and chives . The crepe was cooking perfectly and the creamy wine sauce was absolutely perfect.
The portions are very filling what we would expect at a relaxed atmosphere establishment. The entree prices were not expensive and the 16 ounce Delmonico steak special was less expensive than a steak house and was a hit
around the room.
I can't wait to go back and sample some more of their great food.“

“I've gone here numerous times, and the food is really good. There is a lot of variety on the menu so finding food that you like should be easy. Service can be spotty. Really good 1 visit and times where getting a check can take longer than it should.“

Whether eating in the Cafe or getting take-out we're always happy with the service from the staff. My wife needs gluten free options and this is our favorite place in the area to reliably have great options.

My personal favs are an omelet with spinich, tomato, and feta cheese for breakfast or the fresh caprese sandwich (sometimes I add a burger patty) for lunch/dinner. And the homefries are AMAZING.“

Indoor Service has always been fast, friendly and excellent for the entire length of business operations from their inception, but several times that I’ve sat outside with friends, the server has been neglectful. But other than that deficiency, indoor experiences have always been top-notch with both servers and food quality. “During my family's and my visit to the FDR Presidential Museum, we had lunch at Uncle Sam's Canteen. The canteen is built in a military style, complete with propaganda paintings.

As we are all vegetarians, we had grilled cheese sandwiches and salads (including the macaroni salad and potato salad). Not the fanciest food, but still very appetizing. It was also very convenient to eat on site, and the service was very fast (even though this was the weekend after July 4th). I would definitely recommend checking out this eatery if you're going to the museum and want to dedicate as much time to the museum and house as you need.

Vegetarian options: The grilled cheese sandwiches are very nice, as are the various salads.“

“So me and my family are up here this weekend for my wife's college reunion thing and she suggested Applebee's. It's close by the college and we wanted some good food before we head back to the hotel. Our waitress was phenomenal. I can't give her enough praise, attentive, patient (there was nine of us), plus she served two other tables around us. I gotta say the food wasn't as good as I had hoped. To me it's a hit or miss with boneless or regular wings. Either they're too saucy or not enough sauce. These were too saucy and my pasta was too saucy as well. My wife complained about the chip being stale as well. The ambience was good. Wasn't too to crowded but with a big family we bring the crowd with us usually. The staff was definitely accommodating so I really enjoy that.
