“Finally I tried this place, always been curious ever since last year. I ordered fried rice, seaweed egg soup, shredded beef with pepper and fried chicken cutlet. The seaweed egg soup just a lil bit too salty but other than that its really good. I think the best.
Fried chicken cutlet was good, then the shreded beef, how can I say. I like the taste, but I was expecting they cook it lil bit longer, like more burnt/browniesh as that what I always remember about shredded beeef dish from any taiwanese restaurant.
Fried rice was okay. I cant complaint.“

“The staff member who took my order was super sweet, and my food was ready within 10 minutes. The popcorn chicken was juicy, crispy, and flavorful. There were photos of Taipei, fitting for the food served. The restaurant was modern with a few tables for small groups and individuals.“

“Came on a weekend and was sat down immediately. Liked that the service was really fast. Got the suan cai and fish rice noodle, and it was delicious. The noodles were so flavorful and really hit the spot for a sour noodle. Also shared the popcorn chicken with two others, and those were done well as well. Definitely a great place for Chinese food.“

“This is one of my favourite restaurants in Flushing! (which is saying a lot) I probably come by at least once a month if not more frequently.
They can be a bit busy during peak lunch/dinner hours on weekdays, but service/turnover is quick and they are efficient with using the shared long table in the centre of the restaurant, so I’ve never had to wait more than a few minutes to be seated.
I usually get one of the guo qiao rice noodle (過橋米線) options - obviously that’s their speciality; my favourites are the fatty beef 肥牛過橋米線 and the “xiu cai” 秀才過橋米線.
Each order comes a bunch of ingredients - meat(s) and small plates of side toppings - separately from broth and the rice noodles. Some orders on other tables had the dishes plated on a small wooden (eponymous) bridge or a staircase, which looked super cool!
After they bring all the food to your table, the waitress puts in all the ingredients, meat, and noodles in the broth in front of you and mixes. This is traditionally part of the guoqiao rice noodles experience, and I guess this is also good if you like taking aesthetic food spread photos, because the final product doesn't really showcase all the yummy toppings.
Anyway, it’s always super delicious. The broth is really rich and smelled wonderful; not too salty or oily, and it was nice to sip on each bite with the noodles and at the end of the meal as well.
Fatty beef was super delicious - very thinly sliced, tender, juicy, and its flavour cooking in the soup really made the broth just that extra bit savoury. The other cuts of meat (e.g. sliced pork, fish) are all pretty good, but nothing spectacular.
The toppings are also really solid. The 香酥 (I have no idea what this is called in English but the crispy/fried brown thing) was surprisingly tasty; not too oily or heavy and paired really nicely with the broth. I also like the tofu skin, wish they would have given more.
Overall a very great meal and very filling - portion sizes are already pretty big, and I think you can ask for more noodles for free (although I’ve never done so). Price point is super affordable, and for such a nice sit-down place in Flushing I think it's more than worth every dollar.“

“Got takeout recently. Food was very good. We had pork jowls, crab Rangoon, curry puff, papaya salad. Drunken noodles with chicken. All very good. If you’re unfamiliar the pork jowls are leaner than pork belly. Very tasty. Would order again. Recommend. Well packaged for delivery.“

“This is definitely an out of the ordinary ramen restaurant. To start with, you have a remote hostess ? then you are encouraged to order and pre-pay your food from your table. Fortunately, the restaurant was not full and the waiter had the consideration to take our order ?
The food was good ? I ordered a black mountain ramen, which had an earthy pleasant taste. We also ordered edamame, and gyozas ? everything was good
The ambience was spacious and nice and the service was also good ?“

“The store's handmade ramen is the most famous. Its beef noodles are very good and is everyone's first choice. The peanut butter spicy oil noodles are also very tasty and are our second choice. The scallion pancakes are also fried very crispy. Their soy sauce is Sweet soy sauce. General Tso's chicken is a favorite choice for children. The food is served quickly and the service is good at a reasonable price. Will come back again.“

“Excellent dim sum place right off the main drag, I much prefer it to anywhere in Manhattan or even Sunset Park. We got pan fried noodles with pork, pan fried pork buns, soup dumplings (regular and with squash), turnip cakes, fried bean gluten, and shrimp dumplings. Everything was excellent, service fast, great prices. Two people stuffed themselves and got enough leftovers for an additional meal for like $60. Particularly impressed with the noodles, and the shrimp dumplings, chock-full of big hearty chunks of shrimp cooked just right. Don’t over-order like we did but do go.“

“I don't often review places but this spot is great.
I was slightly worried when we walked in and the staff was amazingly friendly (atypical of your standard Chinese spot). Bantering with customers and laughing and giving out hugs, knowing customers' preferred seating. Super attentive and friendly.
Food came out and was legit.
Soup dumplings were hot and juicy, skin was thin but doesn't break, overall well seasoned.
SJBs had crispy bottoms and fluffy tops, perfect texture.
Rice cakes had wok hay and massive flavor.
Salt Pepper Squid was hot and crispy, with well seared onions/peppers & deep fried shallots to top.
Solid place. Will def go back and try their more Canto focused dishes next time (which looked delicious too).“

“Overall it is a good spot with food appropriately priced for what you get. I got the cumin lamb burger and the cucumber salad. The cucumber salad was AMAZING and definitely a must get. I ate it all and drank all the juice with no shame and would have had no problem getting another. The lamb burger was ok but I don't think I would get it again. I have had others that were way better so that's the reason for that. The flavor of the lamb was good but the bun was a turn off for me. The bun to me resembled two slices of white bread. If that's your style then I would recommend it but I've had ones that were more flakey which is what I like more. I will definitely be back for the cucumber salad and to check out other items on the menu.
Parking: Good luck finding street parking but you still have to walk.“

“The environment is clean and bright, the service is prompt and the food is delicious.
I ordered Sanbao Beef Noodles, and the beef and tendon were very delicious! It tastes good, but I don’t know why I felt a little tired after eating it.
The dumplings are really delicious! It’s just like what you get in your hometown!
Will come back to try other meals next time I travel to New York!“

“Edit: wanted to update my review that the beef brisket with curry sauce (C2) is crazy good!
Food was fine, never tried hot pot rice before this. It’s cool to see authentic Hong Kong style food in this neighborhood. Interior was comfortable and service was good. To be honest the food was kinda forgettable but I would come back to try other dishes“

“I didn't realize that I've been to their Flushing location 6 years ago until I searched my photo library for this review. This location is in the food court inside Hmart LIC. It was grand-opened in May. And luckily the 30% grand opening discount continued to get extended for a couple of months, so it was a no brainer for me to visit every time I was in town during this period:
- Curry Pork Cutlet $17. Nice big platter size plate, but the pork was bland and the curry had no heat. It was a disappointment.
- Jolmyun Dukbokki $12. Dukbokki with glass noodle in the mix. It was better than expected and not as spicy as it looked. Good.
- Seafood Udon $14. Clear broth with prawns, fish cakes, and clams. Not bad. But I'd have Seafood Ramyun instead.
- Seafood Ramyun $12. Spicy and additive broth with lots of octopus, some clams and 1 prawn. Definitely recommend this over the Seafood Udon: better texture, more kicks, and $2 cheaper to boot.
- Pork Cutlet Udon $14. This is better than the Curry Pork Cutlet. At least the cutlet was hot and crispy and the udon soup was comforting. Not bad.
Prices are before 30% discount. Service can be slow, particularly for soupy dishes which can take 25 minutes without line. You can return your tray etc in the back of the food court next to the bakery.“

“If you’re trying out a new Korean-Chinese restaurant then all that matters is the Jjajangmyun and jjambbong. Tried both and they were delicious! Classic taste and healthy serving. My only critique is the potatoes in the jjajang sauce. Not a big fan. Other than that looking forward to coming back.“

“This is my newest favorite in the wonton restaurant in New York. It is a tiny place, but the free tea is hot. I had the "trio" wonton with noodles, with additional vegetables, which are tender baby yuchoy. The trio wonton were all very good, but I can't say I could distinguish among the three types. All had crunchy shrimp, one said had watercress, although I couldn't figure which. The added vegetables, for an extra $2, was well worth it. The vegetable portion was large enough to merit a second bowl. It was a bargain at $12.50. I liked it so much that I ordered the same a few days later. The 3rd time I visited, I ordered wonton with stewed beef and with added vegetable. Again, it was very good, but the vegetable portion was significantly reduced, but the beef portion was large (very large for someone who rarely eats meat). I ordered this dish twice also.“

“My family have been regulars for > 8 years. Its authetic Hunan flavors with enough variety for vegetarias and vegans too. Thankfully they are able to tone down the spiciness to the right amount when requested. We have many favorite dishes such as grileed fish with black bean sauce, sizzling beef steak, cumin beef, sauteed eggplant, triple bamboo, cucumber with scallion sauce, tomatoes and eggs, steam dumplings etc. I read some of the negative reviews and i have never experienced any of that. My parents and I come here almost every sunday for the past several months. Food is consistently good, prices are average or better then some of the other restaurants in Flushing. The wait staff are very attentive and nice. The owner always greets us warmly when he sees us. Give it a try !“
“While on my way home the other day, I saw that this new restaurant recently opened so I quickly jumped off the bus to grab a quick snack. My first impression as I entered and saw families hanging out and kids running around, was that this was a nice neighborhood hangout. The inheritor is a clean and feels spacious. It's a fast casual place, you place your order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. I quickly realized that this was a family-owned business and most of the staff only spoke Chinese. Luckily, the menu is also in English so and I was able to get an order of pork, shrimp and vegetable dumplings. The dumplings were juicy and filled with stuffing. I wish it had been fried rather than steamed but I don’t think they understood me when I placed my order. Still, it was a good hearty dish, and it was a bargain for $8.99. I ended up ordering frozen dumplings as well ($25 for 50 pieces) to go. Can't wait to fry them up at home.“

“Big portions (for me), I was about 70% full and I found more noodles and beef at the bottom. The broth was pretty delicious. I got the classic spicy beef noodle with the spicy level toned down. They were very generous with the amount of beef, there was also crispy peanuts.“

“Currently my favorite restaurant in LIC at the end of 2024. Portions are large and prices are on the lower end. Juicy Lamb and Drooling Chicken are both really tasty. Surprised they're not that busy given the quality of the food, I guess it's the location but it's right next to a luxury high rise and very safe.“

“We walked in and it was pretty vacant however, it was lunch time on a Monday so that wasn't much of a surprise. It had a large selection of noodles, if you walk in and see the wall you'll see all the various options and then some. It was a little ambiguous until we saw the kiosk. The food however, was amazing. We got the beef and the duck duck noodles. You do have to make your own noodles and the instructions are on the tray on how to do it. Would definitely try again!“
