“I’ll give 5 stars because I want them to stay in business !!!! But they need to change something.
*****IT USED TO BE 5 STARS*****, I used to go at night all the time when the dude that didn’t speak English worked there. But now for the last few months, he’s gone, and the pizza was NOT GOOD the last 3 times I went over the last couple months. Only at night I have eaten here. So i couldn’t tell you about the daytime.

In restaurant business, things need to be consistent, too bad no restaurants are really like this. Because people change up all the time. One little thing can change A LOT in food prep/cooking. I know. I’ve been in restaurant business for 10+ years… hope you guys can fix whatever was wrong with the pizza. I miss it lol“

“Loved it here! Just stopped in at the spur of the moment and I am so glad I did! Felt like I was in a Manhattan Bar! Eva the bartender was great and so was the rest of the staff. Felt like I was with friends.“

“Love this place, but I mistakenly ordered the GF pizza and only realized once I got home that it looked nothing like the photo on the website. It just wasn’t what I expected. The staff were great when I called — they replaced it free of charge and were really helpful.

That said, the website could really use an update. The standard pie and the GF pie are very different, and the current photos are a bit misleading. I had to drive back to swap it, which could’ve been avoided with accurate images.

Still a fan of this spot, just hoping the online menu gets updated!

“The young lady helping me today was super attentive, I didn't get her name, but it's 12-13-2025 at 11AM .
I wanted to tip her, it's Holiday season, but she kindly said they don't accept tips.
I feel that the owners should leave that up to us whether we want to recognize an employee by tipping and not dictate it whatsoever.
That is my only complaint.

“Great pizza, made by special request. Great brownie, warned without my even asking. Very friendly guy. If we're not staying nearby on my next visit to NYC, I would consider taking the subway just to eat here. Lots of variety besides pizza. Safe area even at night. Great price for can soda and it's really cold.“

“Came to visit this place for the first time and I live close. And all I can say is it’s great . A great pizza place in rockaway! The atmosphere is great, it looks like the workers enjoy doing their job. They were very friendly + the service was extremely quick. I myself tried a plain slice and garlic knots and was very surprised with just how good it was. Will definitely come by many more times in the future. Please come try!“

“Place is decent and above average for NYC pizza but got the special (2 for $5 and a coke) but they should put a little more cheese on the slices. Wasn’t docked real great and had bare spots. Much rather go a block away around the corner and eat Retro Pizza.“

“I love their pizzas. They have a brick oven that they make their pizzas in and it really brings out the authenticity of the pizza. Their pizzas are sized just for you to eat. You have a choice of ordering a bigger/“regular” sized pizza that you’d often see at other pizza places but their pizza size makes it so easy for you to just eat that by yourself and go. One recommendation for when you go is definitely the bbq chicken pizza! I love the bbq chicken pizza. I get it all the time but it may be a little too sweet for some as said by others that have tried the pizza but i dont think you can go wrong with bbq chicken pizza even if you do find it a bit sweet.“

“I stopped by here on my way home from work. I just searched pizza on my route home. Best decision I’ve ever made. I haven’t had a true NY slice in a while, especially a specialty slice. The pizza was fresh, the crust had crispy edge but the pizza was still light and fluffy. The place is cash only and the slices are a bit pricey for the size but honestly I would go back it was pretty worth it. I got a plain cheese and BBQ chicken. Plain slice is $3.50 bbq $4.50“

“We used to frequent the Astoria location which was always so great. The new Manhattan location is no different. Somewhat smaller, but just very cozy and very nice looking. Amazing food as always. “I started coming here when they only offered the vegan pizzas then a couple of years later they introduced the vegan lasagna. Now, they offer several MORE vegan dishes. I follow a vegan diet. This is my go to place for vegan pizza, the crust is always perfect, the slice is decently made, the atmosphere is relaxing, the staff aim to please plus, my husband and I can both enjoy this place together since he follows a carnivore diet. I tried the vegan lasagna once when it was first introduced but I was disappointed. It seemed to be all noodles and hardly any vegetables or sauce. Plus, I believe it only had carrots but at least the noodles were tasty. Maybe it was an off day. I haven't had the vegan lasagna since. Sometime, last year I had the vegan pepperoni roll; the dough tasted fresh, good amount of ingredients straight through and the side of sauce was flavorful. Good meal and definitely tasty. “There's a nice selection of pizza, rolls, etc. Food is good, portions are large. We frequent this place at least 4 times a month, the food quality is consistent. The wait staff are very pleasant, even if you sit at a booth just to drink wine. There are so many Italian places to eat in Howard Beach but as a local, I can say this is my favorite on the boulevard for both pizza and sit down dinner. Never disappoints.
