“Had the pleasure of eating at the Greenport location. Two of my HS girlfriends and myself on moderately busy on Sunday (1012/24) at about 5:30. A young waiter named Brian was our server. We first ordered drinks, mine was the margarita with the pomegranate swirl. So delicious!! Refreshing and frosty! We shared the Mexican Street corn and the three dips with chips, which were freshly made. So fabulous! So tasty. The salsa, guacamole and queso were just perfect, each different but delicious!! The corn was sweet and flavorful. I had three tacos in hard shells. Fried chicken, fried shrimp and the marinated steak. Each one was different and very fresh. My one friend, is a vegetarian and the other is gluten intolerant BUT! They each found many yummy choices! I’ve been trying to get to this restaurant for several years, and finally the planets aligned! Brian was well trained, patient and informative with a good humor. The interior is bright, festive and clean. So much food, I could not finish all of it. And!! the restroom was clean! You should be very proud of this business! We will be back! Thank you!!“

From the moment we walked through the door on a busy Saturday night at 7:00pm we walk in simply based on a great name! The hostess Deanna was lovely and welcoming we were able to sit right away! The food was absolutely amazing and so were the drinks!! But the star of the show was the staff our waitress Emily was the best we have ever had! Just the right amount of attentive that we never looked for her and always felt taking care up. The busser also did an amazing job never a dirty plate on our table. We go out alot and I can’t remember the last time a restaurant covered it all flawlessly Service drinks and food. We have already texted friend excited to bring them here! “First time there tonight for a birthday dinner. WOW is an understatement. Sat outside with a beautiful sunset view. We had the short rib special, the sea bass and the swordfish entrees and they were delicious! The mussels in white sauce to start and the (clearly) homemade peanut butter and chocolate & carrot cake desserts were phenomenal. Our waitress Jaimie was the BEST-so sweet and welcoming-all of her recommendations from cocktails to entrees to dessert were spot on. We can’t wait to come back!“

“BEST TACOS ON THE NORTH SHORE. We stumbled into Ditch solely by chance and we are so happy we did. It’s a breath of fresh air for a rather stale Main Street in PJ. Very beachy vibes, feels more south shore LI than snobby north shore which is probably why I love it so much. The menu has a little bit of everything and everything we saw coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. We ordered tacos, five different tacos so we could try a bit of everything. From the perfect corn tortilla to the pineapple toppings, everything was fresh and delicious. The owner Tracy came over to welcome us to his new spot and express his gratitude for giving the new spot a chance. Our server Brennan was working a busy lunch shift mostly solo and he still delivered a top notch experience. Very happy with our new discovery and we can’t wait to go back!“

“I can not believe that this restaurant has been here on Main Street in Port Jefferson Village for over 20 years and I never ate there!!! This is my new Favorite place to eat. The food was exceptional and good size portions. The pita bread they put out on the table was so delicious I could have made that my meal. The service was extremely attentive and so personable. The Owner came around greeting everyone and made us feel like we were all family having dinner together. I am looking forward to my next visit.“

And here is a secret...It was affordable. The food was incredible and plentiful. Great Chefs. Another secret...add the raw oyster station. We went with 100% out of doors and it was spectacular. Fits 100 easily. Places for shade and sun and a great gazebo for the ceremony. We can't recommend it more. We did our wedding but this could have been a 50th birthday just as easily. Another secret is bring your own acoustic player for the music. We had a friend play and it really set the mood for the day. So, The View in Oakdale is a perfect spot to start a life together, party for someone reaching a milestone or hell, just a great happy hour with friends on the water.“

The food is outstanding, compliments to the chief!! Also, I would like to comment on our waitress, Kim, who is terrific!!! She was so attentive to all our requests, took care of us all night. Also, the manager is a real gentleman, and he also made us feel comfortable and special. Without a doubt, this is the best steak restaurant on the Island, we have been to most of the upscale restaurants here and we rate this the best. “My husband and I have been eating here pretty much once a week for almost 20 years. We usually get take out and create our own in home date night. By far the freshest and most delicious sushi we’ve ever had. Period. They keep the menu very clean, as opposed to other places we’ve tried where everything is caked in sauce and all just taste the same. You will not be disappointed.
Favorites: Alan roll, Peter roll (as for extra sauce on the side), Cooper roll (not on the menu but was on their old menu. You can still ask for it) and the deep impact.“

Their seafood is fresh and delicious. I actually drive further to go to them and pass other seafood stores on my way, but they are definitely worth a trip. All of the staff is accommodating, knowledgeable, friendly, and respectful.“
