“One night out on my recent trip to NY and my buddy recommended that we have out here. Nice mature people restaurant and club. They had vegetation options that were good and the food was really good. The music level and selection was also really good. The friendliness and prompt service from the waitress was on point. I would certainly hang back out here the next time I am in town.“

“I recently got my package of goodies from Tropical Isle Roti shop and Bakery and I am very pleased! The package kept can in 2 business days and everything was fresh. The pine tarts are amazing! The taste took me back to my young days in the Caribbean. I also ordered sweet bread, salara and coconut buns. They were all fresh and delicious. “The food is excellent and abundant. Just trust the person serving you from the abundant display of ingredients, and simply nod, even if you’re not sure what they said, and you’ll be happy. Know that what you ask for may be challenged by the server by how they’d prefer to serve it (“This is better with gravy…. Do you want more curry potato to balance out the heat?”) or what most people order as a side. Fact is, this is very much like being fed by family/friends. Embrace it.

“Service” is a hard thing to rate in stars. It is not what you expect. If you don’t understand the lingo or the accent, you might be confused, intimidated, or think they are mad at you. Just don’t worry about it, nod and ay.

There is no “atmosphere”, really - just a very practical, abundant serving station behind a hooded glass enclosure that will make your mouth water.

Vegetarian options: Ask for a roti or (dal pourie) with vegetables. Which ones? Ask for all of them. Nod each time they ask you to reconfirm. Keep the roti separate. One serving is two FULL meals.“

“The food was good. The drinks were tasty. The vibe was nice and cozy. It was tight but once those drink hit and the music banging, you don’t really care. However I deducted a star because when we got home, we saw that they put a “credit card” fee (like who does that? Where was the warning? Not sure that’s legal) and an automatic 22% gratuity for a table of two. Now I’m not quite sure I would return. Especially not with a card (which I use for travel points and not ordering as much as I did.)“

“Bought a tray of mithai to send away to my sister-in-law in Florida because it’s that good, but when I got home and open the tray it was soggy. I guess the extreme heat during summer and how the mithai was stored at Fazee’s ruined the texture of it. “Before visiting this restaurant, I read the reviews on Google and I never got up to go one day. I was passing by and I decided to go in and check them out first of all if you were looking for like homemade Guyanese fried rice then definitely go there. It’s so yummy. It’s a little on the spice side but very yummy. I also tried the bubble tea and it was amazing for a small restaurant, the white pudding is also very good and fresh. Definitely check them out.“

I ordered almost as soon as I came in and a couple that sat down 20 minutes after I did got their food ate it paid the check and left when my food was just arriving and I waited for over 20 minutes for one drink. The food is nothing like it used to be at all. $100 for two drinks and one meal is insane.“

P.S some of their drinks are homemade, including the peanut drink and the hibiscus drink which we had. Those were exceptional. We are fans of hibiscus drinks, and these were the best we ever had.“
