“I was in the neighborhood on the mall close by. I was really hungry so of course Jamaican food would do. Was a bit skeptical because it said Silver Krust on Google but the sign onsite says something else. Anyway, the woman serving looked very Jamaican (lol) and sounded very Jamaican with the ghetto flare attitude so I am like alright this food is good. Gotta be good (lol). I really wanted to soup but they had chicken soup with no corn. Anyways , I got curry goat, rice and peas, sweet chilly chicken, cabbage and plantain. Yum yum yum !! The food was so good! Even though the goat could have been a bit more tender, but it was still flavorful. I ate every bit of it! The food really hit the spot. I went back for patty but no patty. Not sure if it’s because it’s Sunday. Try this spot for authentic Jamaican flavor . No seating inside restaurant. Parking lot very dirty.“

“I only order j*** pork & j*** chicken, and I most say that this is the BEST j*** chicken & pork I have EVER taste in America. I am hooked. It’s all about the flavor, and most restaurants just cook to sale, but Merrick J*** cook to please. They’re Potato pudding is good too.. not too sweet, but just right.

I was recommended by one of the workers to try the impossible patty, the vegetable partty and I can say they are delicious. “Buff Patty has excellent food across the board. I have ordered food at both their location in Elmont and in Brooklyn and their food is consistant in both flavor and quality - excellent. So far I have had their Jerked Chicken, Curried Goat, Oxtail, and beef patties and everything was flavorful, tender and authentic. I highly reccomend Buff Patty to anyone who likes or has not tried Jamaican cuisine.“

“Earlier this morning..... My first experience at Door Restaurant in the borough of Queens.... OMG I tried the Traditional Jamaican Breakfast: Liver, Saltfish, Callaloo, provisions omg. Their patties have an amazing crust and they’re filled with ample beef, or whatever filling of your choice; not with a lot of floured-filler. “Went here today for the first time. I got thru mac and cheese, with fried shrimp and cabbage. Hands down one of the best mac and cheese I've had to date. Not to salty, but full of flavor, right amount of cheese. My husband got the rice and peas, salad and jerk chicken. Another delicious dish, jerk chicken was one of the best we've had. We'll definitely be returning when we're in the mood for Jamaican food.“

“Customer service was great over the phone. Amazing food. I ordered delivery (I didn’t do Uber eats, just called because I wanted the restaurant to receive 100% of the profit) and it came quick. I received a medium oxtail with macaroni and cheese. I would’ve taken a photo but it looked too good not to take a bite. I wish I got more oxtail because it was delicious!! The Mac and cheese was amazing — perfectly cheesy. I can’t wait to come back for more of their food options like the stew meat or even the banana bread (and tell everyone I know obviously)!

Edit: I got more food the next day! The stew chicken was as delicious as I hoped it would be alongside that AMAZING curry goat. The curry goat tasted like heaven — it tastes fresh off the island! The curry chicken was also very good and I got a great portion of everything. The standout had to be the beef patty which was the BEST Jamaican beef patty I’ve ever had. Now I got to buy one with every order!! I thought the bulla had a beautiful sweet spice to it. Perfect for any meal. Everyone I knew wanted a bite of the curry spiced bread as well. My sister said she’s going to order here everyday if she can ?. Overall, everything was perfect and I am glad there’s more yummy places to eat in this neighbourhood.

“We had oxtails with peas/rice and cabbage. The food was seasoned perfectly and not at all greasy. I also tried the beef soup because they were almost sold out and the sample was amazing! The plate was a nice amount of food also and worth the price.“

“If you're in queens and want just an explosion of deliciousness in your own home? Then this is the place to pick it up from. It's my go-to spot in Jamaica for cheat days. They have the best oxtails and vegetable rice around. The rice is seriously addictive. They also have a slamming hot sauce. You have to ask for the real hot hot sauce tho. Because they used to give me another hot sauce before a regular told me of this one. If you like perfectly spiced, fall off the bone, absolutely delicious oxtails. If you also like them with magic rice that you can eat buckets of till you explode in delicious rice goodness, then this is the place to get it from. They do not have any seating. This is a takeout-only spot. They also load up the containers. No skimping here. The staff is always nice as well. Keep up the good work guys.“
