“After I first purchased a drink, I wasn’t a fan of it. I hated to be that person, but I came back to the restaurant to ask if I could switch it out since I hadn’t drink anything. The lady at the counter was so kind and so friendly, and she was more than happy to help. I definitely recommend this place!

“We hosted an intimate wedding celebration in the elegant party room at Jean-Jacques. It was a joy to work with Donna Sullivan, who handles functions. She provided us with expert guidance in choosing the menu and every other detail. The room looked gorgeous, the food was exquisite and our guests were well cared for by Donna and the other servers. We received so many compliments from the attendees who remarked that they had a wonderful time and that the food was delicious. The bride and groom, and all of their friends and family, enjoyed themselves immensely and were able to meet, connect and have conversation in an elegant atmosphere. The party room is indeed a hidden gem at this premiere bakery and cafe in Pleasantville. My husband and I are not from the area and had never been to Jean-Jacques, but I contacted Jean-Jacques at the recommendation of a family member and couldn’t have been more pleased. It was exactly what we wanted. We had ample room for 40 guests and a jazz piano player. From the appetizers, Bellinis, Prosecco, wine and other beverages, to the sumptuous gourmet buffet dinner to the most delicious celebratory cake, everything was PERFECT. “My husband and I just had a lunch there. The place is overall good, they are trying to recreate the atmosphere of a French bistro cafe. The croissant and what they claim on the menu to be “French” is definitely not close to French cuisine. But the food is good. What we found outrageous is the pricing. $17 for a green salad and +18 for proteins!!, $31 for a Cobb salad, $22 for a quiche… this is way more expensive than NYC price. Be aware.“

“Lifelong Palisades resident, and have loved the 9W Market/The Filling Station since it opened back in 2011! A HUGE improvement over the previous ownership when it was called the Palisades Market which opened in the spring of 2010 and was only open for a few months and then closed. I was so disappointed with the Palisades Market because it lacked a decent food selection and this community needed something so much more. Luckily, the owners of the 9W Market have done such an amazing job! I’ve never had a bad meal here! The ingredients are high quality and super fresh! The atmosphere and ambiance is very relaxing and tranquil! Love the bistro theme on the indoor side and picnic theme by the filling station burger stand. Not to mention, the burgers are the best I’ve ever had! Made with high quality grass fed beef! This is gourmet nyc restaurant style food right in our local neighborhood! Keep up the great work!“

“This place is a hidden gem/slice of heaven. The pastries are made fresh daily and are light and really perfectly balanced. They come with great flavors that you don't commonly find like cardamom. It was very hard to decide but I went with a pistachio option for pastry/doughnut. I also ordered a cappuccino and added one of their cafe-made flavors: s'mores. They offer others but this was especially good and again, not overly sweet. They really got it right. Dean and Co are very friendly & courteous. If you're close by, make this a part of your morning routine!

“Ok , I want to give an honest review of this place and I feel I’ve been here enough times make an accurate judgment.1.The food is ZABIHA HALAL, which is equivalent to finding gold in the Bronx! IYKYK. We usually get the grilled chicken crepe and a sweet crepe. Both are always delicious. That being said, they can definitely go lower on the sugar content in the sweet crepes. Warning: It’s disgustingly sweet. It will leave you with diabetes. The boba drinks are delicious! I usually get a mango mix with lychee pieces. Also very sweet. Yes I have diabetes. Everything is made to order and within a reasonable time frame.2. The owners/employees are extremely courteous, engaging and respectful. Every time I go, I feel like family even though I don’t know them.3. It’s a small place about 10x10ft of customer space with one bar and some stools running along the side wall. That being said, it’s kept clean and it’s well lit. No bathroom as it’s a small establishment but there is one in the mall. Food is given in to go trays, you’re not really supposed to stick around although I think it would be nice to. There’s a food court a few feet away lol. That’s all for now. :)
