“I have to share an incredible story with you.. It’s long so please hang in there. One of my children had their tonsils out last Wednesday. I’m sure when this happens as a child it must be horrible, I know growing up so many of my friends had their tonsils out, but I was completely unprepared for how healing would be for my child who is an adult. The recovery has been so much more than any of us anticipated. For their recovery I was asked if I would bring up Blue Hawaii ice from Ralph’s. Off to the store we went, purchased a few half gallons and brought it on the trip with us as we met up with our child the day of surgery. 24 hours after surgery my baby was a mess, the pain was horrible, and the only thing helping was blue Hawaii ice from Ralph’s! I called the store and asked if there was a way to ship the ice to my child. The gentleman on the phone, who I now know as the owner of both the Selden Ralph’s and the Farmingville Locations immediately started to explain to me how we may be able to make that work. The next morning, after my child had already gone through a half gallon, I realized I had to try. When I called that day Pat took charge, not only did he do the research for what I needed, he got it all together for me. He even went so far as to tell me that if he couldn’t figure it out he would be willing to drive the 2.5-3 hours to bring it to them. (Let me add in my other child who is on the island with me was just diagnosed with a concussion, and needed me home so I was unable to be with my child who was recovering from surgery 😭) Pat went to UPS for me and picked up the right size box and the packaging I needed. Then he went on to get dry ice to make sure Blue Hawaii would survive the trip. While the local dry ice place wasn’t so kind, he then drove to Bay Shore to another reliable source who helped. (This was now taking up a ton of this mans time, a decision he made to help me to help my child feel better at no additional charge or perks for him. Without his help I would have never been able to figure this out or get it out that day) He packed the order and I had a friend meet up with him who would then take it to UPS for me to ship it out. So off the ice went on its journey. And it arrived 100% prefect to my child the next day. Yesterday I finally had the chance to meet the man who cared enough to go above and beyond for my family. He didn’t have to do this, there was nothing in it for him, he even gave her extra ice, and I honestly believe he would have taken the drive himself. I went back in to purchase yet another gallon and a half for my child who has not spoken since the surgery but when I FaceTimed them from his store yesterday they did so to thank this wonderful man blue tongue and all 😂. As I am now sitting on the ferry reflecting I needed to share this story with all of you. I am a big believer in being there for one another and what a random act of kindness can do and the impact it can have. This man could have just left it, he could have told me how to do it, and I could have attempted to stumble through while caring for my other child recovering at home yet he went the extra mile for my family. We already were huge fans of Ralph’s but they will now be our one and only stop. I hope if you have never given them a shot you will <3 and my child’s suggestion of course is try Blue Hawaii! I can’t wait to bring her more ice today!“

“Excellent, your getting what you pay for, everything can be customized, you can order in person or kiosk. The kiosk didnt ask me for a tip, felt bad, but good to know if your not a tipper. I couldnt finish my plate, dont say that often on a 20 dollar meal.

“Good entertainment. Staff is friendly. Kids night was fun especially for the children. Wish they would organize the kids night better like when the mascots come out, there should be a line so the kids can take turns with alone time with the characters instead of rallying around them.“

“Ice cream seems to be fresh all the time. The ice cream sandwiches are filled.Some of the carvels don't fill them all the way.. The Carvel on portion road have icicles in theirs. Also , the people that run the carvel on middle country road , are very friendly.“

When I visited this kind young man named Anthony was so kind and told me about so many amazing deals this carvel in particular has. I wish we had one near us and he worked there! “Simply cannot believe the negative reviews…I have been going here for years and I’m pleased with every experience. Probably upwards of 25-30 times since it’s been open.

Complaints about the prices? You control how much frozen yogurt and toppings go in your cup! It’s weighed! How about you take…less? Like, what?!

The owner is always lovely and efficient and the place is spotless. They seem to take so much pride in keeping it clean.

Sausages And peppers pie was really good and the Pie was really loaded I was very pleased with the sausages they used and the peper where very colorful and plentifull, I will highly recommend it. “I coach the three young boys of the owners here for swimming and have been looking forward to trying out their restaurant and coming here for desert. I ended up getting take out last night but still had to stop by to grab froyo for after. Not a single regret. I had had their frozen yogurt before from them having brought it in to an SSC practice for the kids to enjoy (Goat move) but this was the first time I had gone into the store. The whole place had a lovely atmosphere full of life and enjoyment. There were teenagers hanging out, people talking, the owner making sure everything was going smoothly, it all around had an incredible and nostalgic vibe. Additionally the selection was fantastic, heaps of options to choose from, many of which being fat free, and gluten free options available! The huge cherry on top is the owners are absolutely fantastic people and seeing how they treat their staff and guests like family it is easy to see how they are raising such incredible young men. Definitely recommend trying out and stopping next door to try the Dragon Chinese Resta next door owned by the same family! (I know Ill be back!:))“

“I stopped in for ice cream, and my card kept getting declined, despite there being plenty of money on it. I kept asking the girls to scan the card at the top of the POS machine, and they kept telling me they cannot scan the card until the card was entered into the machine three times. I have never encountered this before.I really think there is a mistake, because the scan option was implemented to protect consumers from having to enter or swipe their cards at a POS machine. I never scan my card at retail establishments anymore; I always scan my card at the top of the machine, and my payment is always accepted. I am never told I need to enter my card three times before scanning.It ends up some lovely woman paid for my ice cream anyway, which I am highly appreciative of.“

“I go almost every Tuesday with my son for the BOGO sundaes. Place is somewhat clean and staff is friendly. They could maintain the eat in area better. They know me there so they always hook me up with nice portions. It is also a dunkin donut store so a Boston cream donut is usually a staple to order. The ice cream is always good and on Tuesday it is worth the price. When it is not BOGO it would be not worth the price of $15 for 2 sundaes. It is a bonding time with my son which is worth it no mater the cost.“
