“The food was delicious, their French onion soup was the best I’ve ever had and my wife loved her salad. For dinner I had the ribeye, which had great aged flavor and my wife had the pasta special which she loved. On the negatives, the marrow bone in the soup was kind of cold so the marrow was like eating a hunk of cold butter. I ordered my steak medium rare and it was more medium, but everything was still delicious. The noise level was off the charts, it’s a busy bar and was as loud as a frat party, that was annoying.“

“Their double double burger is so good and their truffle fries are a hit! You will not miss with that :) we order also a pretzel as an entree and it was pretty good, specially the cheese sauce. I love the open patio, but I wish they had the patio umbrellas, so you get a little shadow from the sun. The servers are nice but the service is a little slow. So be patient, when the food arrives is going to be worth it.“
“Last week, my wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Il Villagio. The restaurant was highly recomended to us by my wife's coworker. We were greeted warmly and sat promptly. We had a 6:30 reservation. The service from start to finish was warm, friendly and professional. We started with a crisp tender fried calamari and the roasted beet salad. So many times calamari is a hit or miss. This was an excellent version. The beet salad was tender, earthy and sweet. The crunchy pistacios and orange vinaigrette were a nice touch. My wife ordered Chicken Millanese and I ordered Gnocchi Bolognese. Both were excellent. The chicken was crisp and tender. The arrugula was peppery with a drizzle of lemon and virgin olive oil. Great balance. The Gnocchi was a great choice as there was a chill in the air. My definition of comfort food. Recently I have notice some resturants are going with a cheaper grated cheese, not Il Villagio. The Peccorino was perfectly salty and sharp. During our meal several people came over to check on us including the owner. I told he should be very proud of his staff. This restaurant is doing a great job. The provide quality service, excellent food and a warm friendly staff. It was a 25-30 drive for us. A drive I will be doing again real soon. Thank you to all“
“Came here on a whim with a large group (19 of us) after we had dinner up the street. They were super accommodating even though they were very busy. Service and drinks were great, we really enjoyed ourselves! We’ve been here several times before and the service and drinks are always top notch. “The steak is one of the best in the area, and best in Putnam county for sure. The salad that accompanied the meal was large and fresh. It appears that they re-heat the items that are served with the dinner, such as the twice baked potatoes and crab cake that was on the Char Steak Oscar, however the sauce was delicious. As for the atmosphere, it is great looking restaurant with a fantastic bar, but there is an unusual smell when you enter the restaurant.“

“Situated in an old ammunition depot, the recently renovated first class, or "firstie", club has a much more exclusive and bespoke feeling than the days of yore. Gone are the sticky floors, the dripping roof from the back room, the broken foosball tables, the jukebox that seemed to host only various versions of the song, "Wagon Wheel", or the bartenders that would serve you a pitcher of Jack and a pitcher of Coke on a Thursday just because you asked for it. taco Tuesday and wing Wednesday are pretty popular, as is Thursday evening following spirit dinner when the place is packed with the sons and daughters of slum and gravy. Extensive selection of beer on tap, and the menu is generally very good. Their version of a clucking Russian is as good and attempt at re-creating perfection as I have seen. Worth a visit.“

I tried my Friends entree and I will say what I tried was fabulous. I love Norca the bartender and she gives wonderful service. Norca makes you feel like you don't want to leave, she is very welcoming and warm. I like to visit this restaurant when Norca is working. When Norca doesn't work I don't show up and neither does my friends. Very nice decor comfortable atmosphere great vibes all the way around. The pizza is also great too. The upscale feel from the rich earthy tones, period moldings, and tin ceiling all heighten ones expectations. The talented chef and personable and attentive bar tender, Nick, delivered on every level. We started with Steamed Clams bathed in an aromatic broth of garlic, chorizo, shallots, and white wine. It was so good we asked for more bread and made certain little was left behind. For our entrees, I chose Faroe Island Salmon with a tasty dijon mustard sauce, sautéed spinach and mashed potatoes. It was a perfect compliment to the Steamed clams. My partner chose their Lump Crabment Ravioli in a Brown Butter and Sage Sauce. The flavors danced on our tongues and were beyond sublime in taste. We had no room for dessert and look forward to returning and adding that in too. They offer live music from time to time, so you may luck out big one Thursday night. Food was great (although I prefer swiss cheese on my F.O.S. and not provolone) and the bartender was very nice, too. It was fun chatting with her. The place was empty (for lunch anyway) but I didn't mind as I don't like crowds. It was me and another guy at the bar. He was annoying but she handled him well. We've eaten here a couple of times in the food's been good. I was a little disappointed in the chicken scarp as the potatoes were cold in the middle was kind of strange.
