“The food is great. The falafel is a vibrant green, very delicious and certainly one of the best. The cashier was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu and dietary restrictions. I’m a vegan. The cook , who I believe was Kimo himself, was also very friendly, even with the fedex guy. Great atmosphere, good vibes. I’ll definitely come back to this neighborhood staple. Thanks again.Vegetarian options: falafel, rice, salad, pita, hummus, lots of veggiesDietary restrictions: vegan/vegetarian“

“Since moving to the area, Nana's is one place that is consistently fantastic and everyone I bring here raves about it. Simple, yes, but freshly made, flavorful, and healthy isn't always easy to find when you're trying to grab a quick bite.I think the way the menu is laid out is a bit confusing if you've never been. Once you understand how to navigate that, it's smooth sailing. My regular order is the Mu'shwarma, pita or platter depending on how I feel that day. I am pescatarian and love that they don't use artificial fake meat, but this dish is just really well flavored mushrooms. Their platters are great because you can choose so many sides, and they REALLY stuff their pitas, so I think either one works, depending on what mood I'm in. If you get the platter, you can choose pita or pita chips on the side. Their pita chips are fresh and the best I've ever tasted. I'm not usually a drink gal, but I love their Limonana so I do order it quite frequently. Very refreshing and made with all fresh ingredients. Not overly sugary or anything. I've tried a bunch of their salads/salatim and they are all amazing, but the Babaganoush is a MUST. I'm not always a fan of the dish because of the texture but theirs is the best I've ever had. So flavorful and fantastic. Any of the spicy salads (spicy tomato) are actually quite spicy, so be aware. There isn't so much of an ambiance here as there's 1-2 tight tables and it's definitely more of a to go place, although I have dined in and eaten outside when weather permits. There is no table service. The prices are definitely on the higher side, but I can often stretch one of their meals to 2 and the ingredients are so fresh and so delicious, so it is worth the price. Don't expect any $7 street cart pitas here though! I've taken my parents and several friends and everyone that has been has only raved about how fresh and delicious it is, so it's a must go to and a neighborhood staple for me.“

“Again, hands down the best food out there! I’ve tried allllllllll the 10000s of kebab spots but nothing comes close to this one. Still waiting to be disappointed, but Omar (owner/chef) does not and will not disappoint. I just went today with my cousin and literally had to make sure I opened my personal gmail to leave this second review. Everything is juicy, has real flavor, the barj is amazing! 100000% recommend !!!“

“This food is amazing. I don't have a picture because I eat it too quickly. I had a lamb kebob pita with the four salad options. You are tasting like 6 delicious flavors all at the same time. The portions are generous, service is friendly (been here a couple times).“

“The owner and his employee are always very kind and friendly. Every customer always gets a free fresh hot vegan falafel, and tasting that made me more open to trying other vegan foods. I usually get the chicken shawarma with white sauce but no tomatoes or turnips ($10) or the Big Daddy, which is rice with meat and veggies ($13). The quantity and quality in comparison to the price is amazing. I've been going here for about a year, and I will definitely continue to support this cart!“

“Just Halal Fusion is a win/win for the local community and the consumer. The food is made with great care using high quality fresh ingredients and the highest standard of handling practices. The quality of the food, quantity, price, and highly varied selection translates to tremendous value for the customer. Not many establishments in the area are able to check all of these boxes. My whole family and many of my friends frequent this restaurant many times a week for this reason. All of their offerings are the perfect combination of delicious, affordable, and filling. The food preparers will always make your food exactly to your request and will quickly remedy any mishaps. The restaurant is always kept clean and all staff are extremely courteous. I couldn't recommend Just Halal and their wide array of tasty options enough. From Quesadillas to Kebabs, you will not be disappointed.Parking: Free parking allowed at the strip mall across the street.Kid-friendliness: Options for kids (kid-sized meals and beverages)“

“Without any doubt, the negative reviews of this place are lies. The Moroccan & Lebanese style food was absolutely fantastic. As a business man whose dined at 1000's of restaurants by now, I definitely have plenty with which to compare. Mama's Kitchen is some of the best food I've had. The pomegranate lamb & couscous was cooked to perfection. The lachmajun was out of this world and the dips we ordered were great as well. The service was excellent as well. Lastly, there was a friendly and calm ambiance in the restaurant. I'd surely go back when time allows.“

“OMG so delicious! It was my first time trying Indian food and the butter chicken with rice and garlic naan was like a warm hug to my soul. This place is great can’t wait to come back. My only critique is that I would’ve loved more chicken with my order it’s sliced thin and a little too sparse. But it was so yummy I wouldn’t take off a star for this.“

“First time at this restaurant and it was satisfactory. It's a bit small but cozy. It was quite busy on a Sunday evening. That should tell you how good the place is. The wait staff worked well and collaboratively. My party was seated in good time base on a reservation. Then we got water right away. Then we got complimentary hor dourves. Then our waiter came right away. It was all done with different staff and in sync. Kudos to Ravagh management. The food was palatable and in large portions. The price is very reasonable. Very recommended.Parking: Parking by the restaurant seems limited but there's parking across the street and behind the restaurant.“

“My friend and I decided to check out this restaurant one Friday late afternoon, and while the food was exceptional, the overall experience left much to be desired.Located within walking distance from public transportation, the absence of parking at the front was notable. Instead of a warm welcome, a “We Support Israel” sign greeted us, setting an unexpected political tone. The lack of a traditional greeting from the waitress, who promptly handed us menus and divided our table, felt impersonal.Nevertheless, the culinary journey began promisingly with a delightful appetizer of hummus with mushrooms, followed by a savory Syrian kebab as the main course. The molten chocolate cake served for dessert was a sweet conclusion to the meal. Accompanying our selections were a ruby red grapefruit cosmopolitan and a fresh fruit margarita, both of which were refreshing. However, the service shortcomings became apparent as we progressed through the evening. The absence of cloth napkins and the provision of only one paper napkin each were disappointing, considering the price paid. Additionally, the need for specificity in ordering, such as requesting ice water with ice, highlighted a lack of attention to detail.Attempting to capture the waitress’ (Stella’s) attention proved challenging, as she was often engrossed in conversations with other staff members or acquaintances. Despite periodic check-ins, the overall level of attentiveness fell short.Upon receiving the bill, we were surprised by an unexpected price increase for the main course, attributed to a post-4 p.m. billing policy. While the waitress kindly adjusted the price, this discrepancy should have been clearly indicated on the menu.In conclusion, despite the restaurant’s culinary prowess, the overall dining experience was marred by subpar service and unexpected pricing policies. While I would rate the food and drinks highly, I urge the establishment to prioritize improving its service standards to ensure a more enjoyable dining experience for future patrons.Parking: The place is close to public transportation; there is parking available across the bridge in the shopping area.“

“Just tried this place out tonight. Ordered a mix shawarma, a chicken shawarma and falafel. I didn't expect much from this place, since it was dead and was 1 lady working in the whole place. I was so surprised, the food was so fresh and the shawarma was burrito size. The taste was really good, I only wish I ask for some hot sauce on the side. The falafel was very crispy. Falafel to me are usually dry as he'll, but they give you a super thick white sauce (like cream cheese consistency). Which made the falafel tasted very moist. I didn't take any pics of the food, because I wasn't expecting much. Going back tomorrow to try the chicken biryani, since they only sell that on sat & sun.“

“We have tried their food multiple times. It's best when you dine in. They give you a big portion of rice, and meat is fresher. We love their lamb/chicken haneeth. Lamb/chicken mandi and grilled salmon. We have taken a takeout a couple of times. First of all, the rice portion is less compared to what they serve you in restaurant, and meat wasn't fresh both time, sadly. Meat was dry, felt warmed up, and went bad in fridge in one night.I hope they serve equally good quality food for dining in and taking out customers.Parking is a bit hard around them. Restaurant is usually clean. Mostly men are sitting there to eat, so it doesn't give you a family Restaurant vibes. bit, we went in with family multiple times, and the staff was kind, friendly, and accommodating.“

“This was one of the top 2 dinners we had both in the City and in the Hamptons this week and was also the least expensive. We couldn’t believe they have Chilean Sea Bass kabobs, and they are only $13 or $20 for a meal. Excellent. Also the dumpling chicken broth dill soup, baklava, hummus, pickles, fries, hot tea- literally everything was fresh and prepared to perfection. As other reviewers have written, this is a hole in the wall find, and I would come all the way to Queens to eat here again! Very near JFK. Service was fairly quick, clientele mostly large families, takes credit cards. Wonderful Israeli/middle eastern cuisine in a very casual atmosphere at very reasonable prices!“

“I don't have a lot of other halal food experiences to compare this to but I ordered a combo over rice, got all sauces except BBQ (that sounds weird given the food type), a pita to go with it and a lamb gyro. I meant to get a picture of the combo but some slob ate it all before I could. It was really good, though. I would definitely come back. The guy running it has a bit of a language barrier but it didn't seem to hinder his ability to make the order I placed.“
