“WOW what an eye opener, great
French & Continental cuisine, pleas read on! I am Phildo the foodie and have lived & dined in the Hudson Valley for more than 40 years. I passed this place up too many times and decided to give it a whirl.
The food is super fresh. Homemade warm biscuits started our meal off complimented by a bowl of TO DIE FOR Vichyssoise soup. The soup rivaled those In Montreal & Quebec City. Perfect balance of flavors and the broth was light and filling.
My main course, Seafood in a saffron lobster broth was perfect. Large diver scallops, PEI mussels, fresh clams and shrimp. Seafood was very fresh and delicious. The broth was velvety , smooth but bursting with flavor with hints of garlic, celery and tomato.
My wife had the Seafood crepe. Diver scallops, shrimp, mushrooms and chives . The crepe was cooking perfectly and the creamy wine sauce was absolutely perfect.
The portions are very filling what we would expect at a relaxed atmosphere establishment. The entree prices were not expensive and the 16 ounce Delmonico steak special was less expensive than a steak house and was a hit
around the room.
I can't wait to go back and sample some more of their great food.“

I had the Burnt Ends, the dish was perfectly executed and I hadn’t had a more perfectly paired food on plate experience in a long time with that quality in a long time. “We came to get takeout for our anniversary and we were not disappointed! Mercedes and Team are so kind and generous and the food matched their energy - clearly made with love! We had the fish plate with 2 sides (Mac and cheese and coleslaw) the fried chicken plate with 2 sides (Mac and cheese and potato salad) and their dessert - coconut pineapple cake in a cup. All the food was excellent, especially the fried fish. Beautifully seasoned and prepared! Mac and cheese is very flavorful and cheesy. Both the salads were good and I look forward to trying more sides! The desserts were phenomenal and we even got to try the sweet potato cheesecake which is SUBLIME and some sweet potato cornbread which was heavenly! You can be sure we will be back again!“

“100% recommend novellas! We just recently celebrated our wedding there and we had the best. Time. They made the entire wedding process so easy for us, with menu items, decor, timelines, everything. You name it, they did it! Bryce, Chloe, and their entire team were so helpful and kind. So willing to step up to plate, and the food was DELICIOUS. Super affordable and convenient as well, and they answered any and every question they had. Our special day was made even better thanks to the wonderful work of their staff and the beautiful scenery of their venue. My guests and family were overjoyed and welcomed happily by all of them, and I’m incredibly grateful! “Pretty to think so is a great dining option in Rhinebeck with an interesting menu of food and drinks, and a great vibe. The seating is limited, and creates an intimate space. Our seats offered a great view of the bar where the bartender was creating magnificent cocktails and it was delightful to see her in action!

The food was generally excellent. The honey roasted carrots were our favorite, and the roasted chicken was also very good. The sweet corn risotto didn't appear very appetizing but the dish itself was delicious. The blood orange Moscow Mule was also good. The Shrimp cocktail was also quite good!

All in all, we had a great experience and would highly recommend it!“

“The Anchorage is one of my favorite restaurants in all of Kingston the service, the food, everything about it makes you feel like it’s a home-cooked and the warmth of the people make you wanna keep coming back. Especially the bartender Stephanie she’s become like a home away from home. She makes the best original drinks. “I recently stopped at the Restaurant at Apple Greens rest area along the Thruway in Upstate New York. Overall, it was a very efficient and convenient stop for a quick meal and break during the trip. I grabbed breakfast at Chick-fil-A, and though it was only my second time trying it, I enjoyed the spicy chicken biscuit—it was pretty good! There’s also a Panera Bread, Burger King, Auntie Anne’s, and a souvenir/convenience store, which offers plenty of options.

The decor is pretty basic, but it’s what you’d expect from a rest stop, so no complaints there. However, the place was quite cold, which made it a bit uncomfortable. The bathrooms, on the other hand, were very clean and well-maintained, which is always appreciated when traveling.

Overall, this rest stop gets the job done and has everything you need for a quick break. I’d recommend it if you're on the Thruway and need to stop for food or a bathroom break.“

“We drove from fishkill after my mom’s chemo treatment in pok … we haven’t been here in a while because it is a drive but we were in pok and we were in the mood for different. We were very happy with the food everything was great we just weren’t happy with the service, we had to ask multiple times for Splenda, the waitress spilled the milk and I used my napkins, she never gave us extra (she had them in her apron) I had to call her over for some then she was taking the finished plates and dropped the butter knife on my mothers foot and never apologized and seen it fall and looked under the table . not sure if the waitress was a bit off her game but we decided to enjoy the food.“

“My husband and I took a little day trip from Albany today with no real destination in mind, besides checking out Samuels Sweet Shop. As we drove through town, your restaurant caught our eye! After asking the sweet clerk at Sam’s how your food was, we decided to have lunch on her suggestion. And we are so glad we did! The interior of the restaurant is very nice and it was so warm and cozy as we entered. Your staff were wonderful. We each had a drink… I had a Bellini and he chose a beer. Our server was nice enough to look up the brewery his beer was from for us too (nice added touch that he didn’t have to do) We started our meal with calamari. The breading was so delicious and not heavy and the pineapple dipping sauce was a tasty surprise. I ordered the hot chicken sandwich and he opted for steak. My chicken was the perfect blend of hot and sweet and so good. My husband’s steak was perfectly and we both enjoyed the horseradish sauce it was served with. Both served with your homemade shoestring fries. Both, so good! We had a lovely time sitting and conversing. Your waitstaff checking in just enough to make sure we were taken care of and not pushy to get us out. Overall we loved it! We can’t wait to come back in warm weather and try your outdoor seating. I wish I had gotten our servers name, as he deserves the kudos for being so pleasant!“

Whether eating in the Cafe or getting take-out we're always happy with the service from the staff. My wife needs gluten free options and this is our favorite place in the area to reliably have great options.

My personal favs are an omelet with spinich, tomato, and feta cheese for breakfast or the fresh caprese sandwich (sometimes I add a burger patty) for lunch/dinner. And the homefries are AMAZING.“

“This weekend was my first time visiting New Paltz and my girlfriend and I stopped by this place as soon as we saw pickles (I love pickled food) I bought a pineapple habanero hot sauce and a jar of their dill pickles with garlic. The hot sauce was absolutely fantastic, very spicy just as the owner warned me, but delicious and the pickles were so acidic and tart yet sweet and savory. They have lots of things like pickled jalapenos, different home made juices and mixes and a lot of sandwiches, Frank's is a must stop for anyone who likes pickled foods with good sandwiches with great sauces.“

“Visited Garvan’s today for the first time for a late lunch in the Pub. We started with Mexican Street Carrots. So delicious! My husband had the traditional Irish breakfast and I had the lamb stew. Both meals were excellent. Wish we could have had dessert, but we were so stuffed. The staff was friendly and very welcoming. We’re looking forward to visiting again.“

(I have worked for almost four years in a bakery) This is being aggregated by the fact that I was not notified of this pricing structure when I asked for day old bread (with the specific intend to get a discount for something that is not fresh and won't last me as long). Had I been informed about this, I would have just bought the same bread *fresh* - for the *same price*. I feel that the omission of this fact is even done purposely to mislead customers.“
