“I've been coming here for about eight months consistently, and there is a reason why - it is by far the best local coffee shop in the area! It's very spacious, the drinks are delicious, and the employees here are exceptionally cordial.The atmosphere changes depending on the time of day - it's usually relatively quiet earlier in the day, which makes it a great place to work or study. It picks up around 3 p.m., where you can find groups of friends hanging together or playing the board games Coffee Monster has available.The cafe is a clean environment (which includes its bathroom!), reliable WiFi, and plenty of outlets to charge your devices. I've got no critiques to give - if I could give Coffee Monsters six stars, I would!“

“Their turmeric bun is insanely good. Was lucky enough to catch it right as it was fresh out of the oven and waiting to be glazed. Almost doubled back for another one it was so good (self restraint won).Delicate, flaky, caramelized crust. Fluffy, light, moist pull-apart center. I usually find glazed pastries too sweet, but this one was perfect - just sweet enough to hit the spot but not too sweet that it feels heavy.The balance of flavors is just right. Just a hint of turmeric that isn't at all overpowering.“

“Hidden gem! I always see how packed the restaurant is at all times of the day and decided to try it out. The lattes we had were delicious! And the brunch special was superb! The chickpea curry had the perfect amount of spice. The seating area is rather small, so come in early for a seat. We had to sit at the shared seating couch - which is laptop free! I will becoming here again to explore the menu. They also offer some table top games to play while you enjoy your meal“

“Pastries by Anne is one of our favorite shops in the neighborhood. You can count on Anne to always greet you with a smile and to have unique and inventive flavors available. I’m a huge fan of both the Thai iced tea cake and the Triple C. She’s also made cakes for our celebrations, which our guests devoured. We are so lucky to live close to such an incredible pastry shop and Anne herself is the absolute best!“

“Wow! This is a little hidden gem. This is probably the best coffee I've ever had in NYC. Doesn't taste burnt at all like most other places and it has a nutty aftertaste. Really delicious - doesn't even need syrup flavors. The chocolate chip cookie is divine and tastes homemade! I'm so happy I stumbled upon this little hole in the wall. It's tiny inside but there are a few tables / stool seats by the window. It's a great spot to bring a book and people watch. They have a bunch of other pastries that look delicious as well and I'm excited to try them all! This spot is just steps from the L train at Grand St. Don't miss it! “Pleasant cafe is amazing!!! The best Macchiato!!! The best Burek… It’s Dukagjini!!!! A must try in the Steinway/Ditmars area. This a gem in our neighborhood. “The Healthy in Dyckman Juice Bar is one of my new favorites! The variety of food options available is mind boggling and I mean that in a good way. As someone who doesn’t eat dairy, I love it here. “This place is adorbs! They welcomed both me and fiancé in and they were polite and respectful. They had great service and always had a smile on their face. The atmosphere was happy and relaxing. “This is some of the best food of any kind l've had in my 45 years living in NYC. Honestly, it's amazing, chef Jose is delightful and his dishes are so nuanced and delicious. Octopus tostados are heavenly, I have no idea what all it consist of but they are delicious. There are three, I can't eat more than two but the last is always enjoyed by someone else at the table. Burrito are a staple for my lunch/dinner... so fresh and comforting. AND I'm not really a fan of most Mexican food but this is on a whole other level. I just finished a salad of shrimp, avocado, mango, cherry tomato, with paper thin fennel shredded on top. The shrimp are cooked to perfection, not rubbery at all but ever so slightly firm and succulent. I live in Manhattan and there isn't anything near me as delicious and fresh.It’s really a special place.“

“This review was long overdue. I’ve been coming here for years even though I don’t live nearby. Seitan’s helper has the best vegan sandwiches in NYC. I travel to the city specifically for seitan’s helper, it is worth the two hour trip plus traffic. Everything on the menu is amazing. I recommend EVERYTHING! Every time I make the trip, I make sure to stock up. i usually get the triple threat which is one of my favorites. If you’re unsure what to get an If you’re unsure what to get i recommend building your own sandwich.All the seitan, breads , sauce's and etc are all made from scratch. You can tell a lot of love goes into what they do. Not only is their food amazing but so is their customer service. They are so welcoming and accommodating. I wanted to purchase something for my toddler daughter to eat so I asked if they had a kids menu. They don't have a kids menu but without hesitation made a grilled cheese just for my daughter. “I don't ever really write reviews, but after today's visit I wanted to share. I have been going to Cafe Turkey since they first opened, the food is very yummy, fresh, the service is amazing. Today I went there at 9PM, after a long day at work. They were getting ready to close, no one was there but they opened the back area for me to have dinner, turned on the heat, let me take my time to eat didn't rush me, AG was very welcoming and so kind to check if I needed anything and let me stay after they close for the day. It felt like a family not a just business. Thank you AG for making my night feeling so welcome at my local favorite restaurant in Astoria.“

“Parking: This Cafe is located in a residential area, so the parking is tough. There's only street parking available. This is more of a neighborhood place that people walk to, there's benches outside as well to sit and enjoy your purchases.“

“We were in Queens and asked a friend who lived in area for dinner recommendations. We are super happy he did. This place is great. All 4 of us loved our dishes and service. The place was packed but they keep it moving and everyone looks quite happy with their food. Some of the best pasta we’ve had in a long time. The mushroom pasta I had was on long thick cuts of homemade pasta cooked perfectly and the mushoom mixture was excellent and I really appreciated it cooked in white wine sauce instead of heavy cream you usually get. My wife ordered something not on the menu for her and my daughter. Home made spaghetti with vodka sauce and grilled shrimp and waiter offered meatballs and spaghetti for my daughter. They loved it. My son had the lasagna and finished every morsel. I don’t leave too many reviews but this place deserves it 100%. Thank you.“

Many of the breakfast sandwiches are under $10 which today is kinda wild. At that price point there was no lack of portion or flavor, in fact I was still full on into the evening. The only and I mean ONLY critique I could find was merely an excess of cream cheese on the lox sandwich but tbh I never bring that up on reviews cause on that point to each is own just be sure to ask for less if that's not your thing. The mochi donuts are ok, I'd rather get a croffle for two more dollars. The space is pretty tight so it can't accommodate large groups unless you go to the outside seating areas. Each time I have gone the staff have been eh, lots of workers scrambling around and not being helpful, but other than that the quality of the croffles out weighs my annoyance with the staff.“
