We had the boneless wings which were top notch thick juicy chicken (not just breading like some places), the burgers were juicy and flavorful and very satisfying. The waffle fries and fried pickles were also a huge hit, along with the kids grilled cheese. We all left full and happy. The price was very reasonable which is sometimes hard to find nowadays as well. We will absolutely plan a return when in the area again, wish we lived closer, but are 45min away! 100% recommend.“

“Nation's was a perfect place for a burger lunch on the first warm and sunny day of the spring. We sat outside and soaked in the sun and passersby. The burgers were to die for, with perfect thin dual patties, seasoned and cooked just right. Put some ooey gooey cheese in between them, add bacon, apple slaw and BBQ sauce with a little kick. All this sandwiched on a just-right brioche bun made perfect burgers.The hand-cut fries were hot, salted just enough, and were yummy. I had a side Caesar myself, which was nicely dressed and not soaked in dressing. Croutons were tasty and crunchy, but the lettuce wasn't quite as fresh as I prefer. Still was a nice balance to the burger, without the carbs of fries. My wife said her side House Salad had no such freshness issue and more greens than iceberg or romaine.Our daughter finished with the Strawberry Shortcake parfait. She raved about it and my single spoonful taste showed it fresh, not overly sweet, but creamy and relish.Our server was nice enough, and accurate, but not quite as attentive as the other servers.Overall we've found a jewel worth a 25-minute drive, that's our new favorite burger place.“

I live just up the road and couldn't be luckier to have such a great 24 hour restaurant so close. They also give me the veteran's discount which couldn't be more appreciated. Okay, maybe she's new. When it came, it was a total disappointment. Large fried bowl, great! Maybe 3 oz of slightly burnt taco beef,a sprinkling of cheese and light sprinkling of shredded lettuce. Someone with us has had their taco salads and get face fell. She said that at lunch it is a very full fried bowl with several side toppings. What a total disappointment! “First time visitor to the Schoolhouse Restaurant on April 14, 2024. Exceptional food! Great atmosphere! Friendly and attentive service! I wholeheartedly recommend. Family style but each person gets to select their choice of entree. My cousin's both chose the celebrated fried chicken and exclaimed over the meal. I had one of the specials of the day, flat iron steak with grilled onions. Again, the meal was terrific! My steak was cooked to perfection and the grilled onions were sliced thick and there were so many of them. Family style coleslaw, tossed salad, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, carrots and cornbread were served and when the bowls began to run low the waitress brought more throughout the meal. We had to get a box apiece for what we couldn't eat and then we also brought home our choice of dessert. In addition we had a plate of the fried green tomatoes. Huge slices and fried to a golden brown. Fantastic! After we finished our meal, we moved outside to one of the picnic tables under an open air pavilion and chatted for quite some time. Rather than ask us to be on our way, one of the waitresses brought out 3 to go glasses of ice water. We spent a wonderful time catching up and laughing together and watching families with small children playing on the grounds and playground equipment provided by the restaurant. The five acre grounds adjoins the Loveland Bike Trail and there's a path to access it from the restaurant grounds. There is also a general store and gift shop in a separate building and a fenced in area with goats and sheep that welcome friendly pats and scratches. The restaurant is accessible via a ramp at the back of the building. Steps are available in the front as well. The restroom is not handicap accessible, however. Overall though I cannot say enough good things about The Schoolhouse Restaurant. It was a perfect day!Parking: Plenty of parking available on a gravel or grass surface behind the building.Wheelchair accessibility: We called ahead and were advised to look for a ramp at the back of the building rather than coming in through the front entrance. The ramp led directly into the seating area with plenty of space for my power wheelchair. I was able to sit comfortably at a round table with my cousins. The waitress was very accommodating to the point of sliding the table a few inches to make room.“
“Needed to kill time for an hour while in town for soccer game and this fit the bill. Flat rate of $29 an hour to bowl plus extra cost of $3 or so for shoe rentals which ended up being a steal as my son and I bowled 4 games during that span. Only reason giving a 4 is cost of arcade. Son wanted to play some skeeball but it was $1.25 a game and some games in the arcade are up to $3 a play. Other table games are a good value but stay out of the ripoff zone of the arcade for sure.“

The hush puppies were really good, I enjoyed them a lot, good flavor and crispiness but again, not dry. The fries were solid, nothing crazy but nothing wrong with them. Slaw was classic. Restaurant was pretty clean, and it didn't take long for the food to come out, given it was cook to order. Overall I'd definitely recommend, especially given they're local.“
