“I had a wonderful luncheon experience yesterday at The Brown Dog Cafe with my two best friends to celebrate a 70th birthday! Our waitress, Karlie, was great—kind, she was very accommodating, and the drinks were spot on.

The food was delightful, featuring the duo grilled cheese, southwestern chicken soup, salmon, and the duo salad and soup—perfect flavors and presentation.

I would definitely go back and highly recommend this place to others.

“If you are staying at the Embassy Suites in Blue Ash, then give the hotel restaurant a try. The waitresses and bartenders are extremely nice and helpful. Good size menu for a hotel restaurant. Prices are even better compared to chain restaurants. Water and sodas are complimentary. Food quality is great. Above my expectations completely. Anytime I go to Cincinnati, I will be staying and eating at that hotel.“

“Staff was very friendly. We built our own bowls and everything was so fresh. I love this place. The quac and salsa were both great. Everything was well over average. I also had the berry blend smoothie which is so good for you and taste so good. The cookies at the end were so big and fresh and chewy. We will definitely be back 11/10“

“The food was tasty and the portion generous. I had a salad with grilled chicken. I asked for no onions and it was made like that.

I used to go to several City Barbecue locations when I lived south of Dayton. I live northeast of Cincinnati OH and this one is probably the closet to me.

One thing I miss is that during the Covid-19 with the government restrictions, many things changed and City Barbecue is more restrictive on their garnishes. I diss the pickle jars that was a favorite thing doe me. I don’t remember what else they offered as garnishes but it seems forever gone.“

“I picked up an online to go order of Dinner for Two at what I guess was close to their closing time. It took a few minutes for anyone to notice I was at the front counter, but they did have my food ready right away. The server seemed a little distracted like maybe they were in preparation for closing. I had to ask for utensils and there was no salt or pepper, no butter for the rolls, and no napkins included in the bag (and the utensil packets do not include spoons which we needed for the soup we ordered. We're staying in a hotel so it was a bit of a bother to try to go find some.) The order was accurate, however, and the food was very good, but the portion size for the steak tips we ordered was a little disappointing, considering the $5 up charge per person for them over the regular Dinner for Two price. It was a decent meal overall, but just a few things could have made it much better.“

“This is my favorite restaurant in Cincinnati. The service and food is always on point. I get the garden hash for breakfast and either the scallops or the mushroom pasta for dinner. I love the ambiance in there as well. They have a nice outdoor area and they have areas you can rent out for parties. Highly recommend.“

“My wife and I spent our 37 wedding anniversary in the Cincinnati area. We wanted to find a nice place, but different than the usual for our anniversary dinner. My wife found Meritage Restaurant online and said it sounded like what we wanted. She called to make a reservation and from the conversation on the phone we were excited to eat here! After arriving to the area, which was a hidden gem in itself, we were greeted by a very friendly hostess! We ask to sit upstairs to enjoy the live music and those guys did not disappoint with their blues/jazz music! Our waitress, she is why there should be no tax on tips! She knew her stuff and was AWESOME! The food, from the stuffed mushrooms, to our dinner, to dessert did not disappoint! EVERYTHING was perfect and it made our anniversary a very special evening! I would drive the two hours from our house to eat here again! GREAT PLACE!!!!!“

“I think we caught them on an “off night”. We've been here three times this summer...always been happy with everything. Last night, the steaks didn't taste as great as before. Our server became extremely busy with a large group, and we had to flag down another server in order to get dessert served....took a very long time. If dessert had not been included in the three-course meal, we would've just asked for the check and left. It just didn't seem as “together” as it had in the past and it was a disappointment.“

“I had dinner here last weekend and honestly, everything was phenomenal. The heirloom tomato salad was refreshing on a summer evening. Their cod was tender, and the accompanying chimichurri sauce was divine that I could've slurped it. If you love bananas, you must order the banana bliss for dessert.

Now on to the not so good, which was unfortunate, as the service overall from everyone was friendly. However, the evening was nearly ruined by the waiter who had an extremely offensive body odor. I understand that while serving, you may work up a sweat. But if you're larger, you have to take extra measures (besides a soapy shower), such as wearing an undershirt, anti-perspirant, and men's body powder.

I won't let that deter me and will definitely visit again because Alara is truly a wonderful restaurant with a beautiful aesthetic and food to match.“

“My family and I was there today to celebrate my mothers birthday, we ABSOLUTELY loved the food them ribs are to die for, however the memorable part was our server Tonya, I think I’m saying her name right, she was AMAZING I mean she engaged with my mom and son like if she was apart of the Family and THAT took us right away, the only downside was by the time we had received our drinks she was no longer our server which REALLY upset my mother, However the new server was nice she just wasn’t her,,, we LOVE the spot and enjoyed the whole atmosphere and my mother and Family DEFINITELY will be back we just hope that we run into that server Tonya again!!! “My wife and I sat at the bar for a late lunch at 230pm. We asked to have one tv switched to Gox News to follow the on going war/conflict in the middle east. The server at the bar was quite accommodating and put the news on for us. We were the only patrons at the bar area and only people to be able to see the TV. The manager came over to tell us ,not ask us, that she was changing the channel because they strive for a more inclusive environment. Because of this we will never return to Northstar cafe.“

“My son & I, from the Columbus area, were in Milford at dinner time. Not knowing what was available near our location, he looked at what was in the area. This was the only place that was different. He had the mushroom Swiss burger, I had the smallest burger; we both had coleslaw. The burgers were delicious! Being hand-pattied was the special touch, as most come pre-formed. We were seated immediately around 6:00 on a Friday evening. Our waitress was prompt in taking and delivery, attentive without hovering. This was a great dining experience!“

The Bucks staff and owner made it all work, seating our party as they came, serving those of us who were early with appetizers, and AS ALWAYS, delicious food. The perfect atmosphere for our daughter’s birthday (who has been a Bucks fan for years).“

“I am admittedly not easily impressed, but my son and I had a great experience all around tonight for a quick bite. From the greeting when we walked in, our server Matthew and the food everything was spot on. Tables were being cleaned as people left, the bartenders were wiping down the station, the food came out hot and cooked properly, the employees having a genuine smile. I can honestly say that it was a better experience than I have had at some of the most high end expensive restaurants in Cincinnati. Keep up the great work! Thank you we will definitely be back.“
