“We were doubtful when we first entered as no one was there inside seating. But when we got the food we really enjoyed a lot. Fried rice is very flavourful.. and crispy chicken skewers.. we asked for spicy peppercorn chicken it was really tasty just melts in our mouths, just end up ordering an another plate..
Ambiance is okay. Place is a bit dull but really enjoyed the food.“

“Ordered Shrimp dumplings and Dynamite Shrimp for appetizers. The food good was good but lacked flavor. Not salty but was kind of overpowering.

For main course, ordered Singapore noodles which was good again a bit salty and tasted a bit like raw curry powder. At least one person in the group didn’t think so.
Kung Pao chicken was good but not the same as they used to make it. Just lacked flavor.
We also got the bone in and boneless Korean fried chicken. My vote goes to the bone in chicken. I think the best of all things we ordered.
Service was excellent as always.

If you usually order stir-fried noodles, definitely upgrade to the hand pulled noodle— it’s on another level! “My family and I used to come here all the time when we lived in Hilliard. The Golden China team knew us well and even remembered our usual orders. The authenticity of the food—especially the egg rolls, sesame chicken, and fried rice—always kept us coming back.
After moving away from Hilliard 11 years ago, I started returning in 2024 since Golden China is right between my work and home. I’m happy to say the food is still just as authentic and delicious as I remember. Golden China has truly stood for being the best!“

“Just walking in and I knew it was gonna be good. They don't waste money on decor. The staff were friendly and the food seemed authentic. Definitely different than most American knock offs.

We got 3 dishes:

The stir fry ramen was good. Perfect lunch fair and great for little mouths.

The squid had great flavor and was pleasantly spicy.

The tofu was very spicy but was missing something. Not sure what but seemed lacking.

I appreciated my ice water but the husband got the walovi. It was pleasant and herbal.

All of these dishes are easily shareable so a great place for a lunch date.“

And actually, my son dropped some sesame chicken on himself and on the ground and the lady immediately came over and helped clean him up and his clothes. “Four of us went here for carryout as we needed the last minute meal. We all got different things and most of it was good. I got the wor su gai which was nothing like I've ever had anywhere. I order this dish a lot at various Chinese restaurants, but this one had like a breaded chicken and the sauce was not the yellow or brown gravy it tasted like a teriyaki sauce and it looked like teriyaki sauce. It was good but in no way tasted like wor su gai. I thought the egg rolls were good as well. The lady was very nice at the restaurant and thanked us numerous times for the business. And she threw in a egg drop soup and everybody's to go order and wrote free on the lid. I don't eat that soup. so it just want to waste on me, but it was very nice that she did that. I would maybe try it again, but get something different. They were a little slow, but not bad.“

“We went to the Ace of Cups to watch a performance by Galactic Empire yesterday and we're hungry so we went across the street to Northeast Chinese restaurant. This little hidden spot for most folks turned out to be some of the best Chinese food that I have eaten in my life and I have eaten Chinese food all over the world. The portions are huge, the price is good and the staff very friendly. I recommended anybody traveling through Columbus that might want some good Chinese food, to look this place up and go there and eat.“

We were surprised that the place had been closed for quite some time as it was our go-to place for Chinese takeout. It has been a staple for Marcus theatre area for many many years. It finally reopened under new ownership, but no sign.

The owner was there to greet us and show us the menu. Very nice guy and felt welcomed. We ordered the orange chicken, bokchoy dish, and chicken egg roll. Food was hot and the bokchoy was our favorite dish. Orange chicken wasn't the best but wasn't bad either (would get again). My only gripe is that the prices are similar to a sit-down full-service restaurant and not your typical take-out Chinese food prices. While I would love to come here again the price is way too high for us as we like to go get a quick meal before a movie, etc. I get it the prices need to be adjusted to match inflation/food costs but the price point before new ownership was so good.

All in all, I do want to try the other dishes as the food was good but it won't be on a regular basis as the prices are not competitive with traditional TOGO Chinese places.

“This is my first time trying Halal China Bistro and I am not mad I took the 25 minute drive each way. The lady was nice and the portions were plentiful. “We love this place! My husband and I have been here a number of times over the years, and it has always had a warm and inviting atmosphere with really great food. We’ve had all the broth options, and they are all flavorful and comforting (although chicken mushroom is my fav). The meats are good quality, and the amount you get for the money is pretty good.

Lately we have been going back for the soup dumplings which are made fresh to order and worth the wait. We’ve had both the chicken and pork, and both are delicious.

“The Dragon House is recommend on several of the "best of" sites. Many of the sites write about the delicious food and the large portions for a reasonable price. What impressed us the most was the wonderful waitress. She answered our questions and carried on a conversation throughout our meal. The food is REALLY good and honestly, more homemade and healthier than your average cheap Chinese place. I only order chinese from here, and never have had a bad experience. “I visited Lucky Dragon recently and honestly, it was one of the best Chinese meals I’ve had in a while. I completely forgot to take a photo of the food — that’s how good it was! The fried rice was packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. You can really tell they care about quality.

“It's been awhile since I've been back but it feels cozy and warm just as before. There's an abundance of parking in their lot and a decent amount of tables inside. The restaurant is warm, inviting, and cozy.

We got the Classic broth and the Mala broth, as well as a Scallion Pancake. The broths were yummy, made well and flavorful but the Mala wasn't spicy. There is chili oil and vinegar on each table to help season your food.
The toppings came out in little dishes and they were good and it's a good idea for customizing what you want or don't want. The broth comes out boiling hot and then you add your toppings and noodles. Each noodle dish comes with an abundance of noodles and a good amount of each toppings. I thought the beef and shrimp were both good proteins for our broths. The scallion pancake was okay. I felt like it wasn't as crispy as it should have been and it is one piece cut into 4. The scallion pancake was not very flavorful but it was good to try.
Each bowl was around $15 dollars but they have some that are a bit more expensive. They also offer rice bowls and ramen! You can also purchase additional toppings

Staff was very nice and accommodating but we didn't have much interaction.

I recommend this place for some yummy noodles, a date, family outing, a good meal, or small groups!“

“My gentleman and I are from out of town and found this place. The food was delicious! The hot & sour soup was so flavorful! I did a 'create your own' with chicken, veggies and the teriyaki... yum! My gentleman got the pepper steak and the steak was tender and delicious. The crab rangoons were so delicious also. They have a craft soda in their beverage machine.... o yea! The only negative was that the crab rangoons were a little light on the filling.“

“A great American Chinese fast food restaurant. The place was clean. Their service was fast. Their entree had a large size with a low price. I ordered create your own stir fry coming with chicken, fried rice and 6 veggies. The sauce was bland but veggies and fried rice improved the taste a lot. It is not an authentic Chinese restaurant but a good and cheap fast food place.

With a change in ownership a couple years ago, they now serve authentic Chinese food which is very different from American Chinese food. This place is 5 star if you’re looking for authentic northern Chinese food. They have a typical English menu if you want to order all the standard fare but ask for the Chinese menu for the good stuff.“
