“I ordered Shrimp Lo Mein from Uber One and it was pretty good. The container of my Lo Mein looked smallish but I was stuffed and had to force myself to finish it 😝😉🍜

“This is an authentic Chinese restaurant. Some dishes are impressive, while others are mediocre. They recently upgraded their menu with large iron hotpot entrees. It was required to make an appointment for those. Recommend their braised pork and chicken feet, dumplings, and lamb entrees. Sometimes they might put too much salt or overcook. Service is always good and WiFi is fast. Rice is unlimited.“

“This restaurant has the freshest, flavorful and most authentic food I have had the pleasure to enjoy. Pork Shumai, Wonton in Chili Sauce, Chicken and peppers, boiled fish filets with pickled cabbage were all phenomenal. I never had fresh and hot from the fryer crab rangoon. 100 out of 10!! Everyone was kind, friendly and gracious. I recommend that you give this establishment a try.“

“My husband and I dined while shopping today! We were in around 1p and we were seated with no wait. Our server Dan was fantastic I highly recommend him. His service made our visit 5 stars! The food was great and came out in perfect timing! Please stop in, we had the spring rolls as an appetizer but I forgot to get a picture of them. I had the Ma Po Tofu with brown rice and my husband got Kung Pow Chicken with the upcharge of lo mein noodles. Our lunch was close to $60 for both of us.“

“Wheeww buddy we are ADDICTED to Genghis! Although it is insanely over priced for probably the last 3 weeks we have ordered from here every single day, the orange chicken with pineapples pepper extra crispy extra chicken on fried rice is the BOMB the peppers are seasoned like nothing I've ever seen the pineapple chunks are large and enough for every bite of chicken. This dish alone as a large is $33. But so worth it. I found this through Uber eats and they're quick to make and get it out to the driver, I can only remember two times that the chicken was super dry to the point of a refund but we were issued that no problem. If your on the fence, jump on over because you will be a repeat customer. I'd share pictures but by the time I remember it's already gone.. so you know it's good. 9/10 💕✨“

“It’s always the “hole-in-the-wall” places that are the best and that’s the case with Eastern Wok. They make their dumplings in house and they are SPECTACULAR!!! I haven’t tried anything here that I didn’t like. Everything is stellar and the staff is top notch! They always make sure my kids are enjoying the food (they should know based on how often we come in that they do). Highly recommended and will continue to come back until I move or they close. Which I hope neither happens.“

“I’ve been eating here for over 15 years, which makes me sad to say that out loud and makes me feel old, but out of those 15 years, I can say they’ve been consistent, and they maybe have made a mistake once maybe twice in that time. I feel like the food is always great. They’re always friendly, and their delivery is truly the fastest I’ve ever seen. Like I swear he’s outside the door with our food as soon as I hit the place order button, it is awesome. I’ve had so many Chinese restaurants that others say are amazing, that I always find bland, and the chicken will have that microwaved flavor but this place never does! “I ordered Kung Pao Chicken for lunch. It was a beautiful combination of fresh and bright vegetables with juicy pieces of chicken. It Had the right amount of kick and the sauce was so flavorful. My favorite part of kung pao is the peanuts that help counter act the spiciness. Which grand china did not disappoint me and had a nice amount of peanuts in the dish! I also loved they used zucchini in this dish it was superb. Lunch is fairly priced at $7 a combination. I will be back to try more dishes !

April 2026 update

I tried their HUGE JUICY FRIED WINGS , were picked up on a Friday night while at the bar few doors down. Super impressed with the flavor, crispiness and size of theses wings. I already loved the traditional Chinese takeout from here and now I have to start picking up these bug juicy wings!

I do think you guys should offer some sweet n sour or even a house sauce to sell along side it too. It would have been a huge hit with the girls! They were kinda mad I had no sauce.“

“Was in Columbus for a concert and I walked a few blocks here for dinner. I didn’t see sweet and sour shrimp on the menu (only chicken & pork) and asked if they served it. They whipped me up an off-menu speciality on the spot. And it was terrific! Huge shrimp in a delicious sauce, big chunks of green pepper, etc. Their egg rolls were also nice and crunchy which I love and that seems to be harder to find anymore at places I try. The woman working was watching soap operas or something at full volume but I had earbuds in and was too distracted by the tasty meal to mind. Golden China Express is very much nearby for us, but we didn't know what to expect.\nWe could not have been more pleased. The Lo Mein and War Sue Gai were delicious and with generous portions. We split a large WonTon Soup which was also delicious.\nIt was a rather large order, as we included friends, and enjoyed the meal together. “I checked out Hunan Bistro at the old K House location and had a great experience. The restaurant will be getting renovations and remodeling soon, but the food already impressed me.

We ordered the Egg Drop Soup, Hot & Sour Soup, Cucumber Salad, Salt & Pepper Crispy Fish, Mongolian Beef, General Tso’s Chicken, Stir-fried Pork with Chili Peppers, Stir-fried Beef, and Kung Pao Chicken.

My favorites were definitely the Cucumber Salad, Salt & Pepper Crispy Fish, and the Kung Pao Chicken all were packed with flavor and cooked really well. The menu has a lot of great options if you enjoy authentic style Chinese dishes with some spice and variety.

I also had the chance to meet the owner, Cai, and she was super cool and welcoming, which made the experience even better.

“Not the most appealing appearance on the outside and not the best location but.....HANDS DOWN THE ABSOLUTE BEST CHINESE FOOD IN COLUMBUS. I have eaten here since I was 9 years old. My absolute favorite place in Columbus been going there since I was about 11 years old and I’m 39 now Family goes there. My children have grown up loving it don’t get it wrong. Usually, it's the standard rice and chicken you get everywhere, but here, it was different. The quality and taste were so much better! I cannot recommend this place enough. “We went to the Ace of Cups to watch a performance by Galactic Empire yesterday and we're hungry so we went across the street to Northeast Chinese restaurant. This little hidden spot for most folks turned out to be some of the best Chinese food that I have eaten in my life and I have eaten Chinese food all over the world. The portions are huge, the price is good and the staff very friendly. I recommended anybody traveling through Columbus that might want some good Chinese food, to look this place up and go there and eat.“

We were surprised that the place had been closed for quite some time as it was our go-to place for Chinese takeout. It has been a staple for Marcus theatre area for many many years. It finally reopened under new ownership, but no sign.

The owner was there to greet us and show us the menu. Very nice guy and felt welcomed. We ordered the orange chicken, bokchoy dish, and chicken egg roll. Food was hot and the bokchoy was our favorite dish. Orange chicken wasn't the best but wasn't bad either (would get again). My only gripe is that the prices are similar to a sit-down full-service restaurant and not your typical take-out Chinese food prices. While I would love to come here again the price is way too high for us as we like to go get a quick meal before a movie, etc. I get it the prices need to be adjusted to match inflation/food costs but the price point before new ownership was so good.

All in all, I do want to try the other dishes as the food was good but it won't be on a regular basis as the prices are not competitive with traditional TOGO Chinese places.

PRE new ownership - Food is good and consistent, service is always great. The place could do for a make over as the place seems like it has stayed the same for many many years. But on that note, the prices are super cheap.“
