“I ordered Shrimp Lo Mein from Uber One and it was pretty good. The container of my Lo Mein looked smallish but I was stuffed and had to force myself to finish it 😝😉🍜

“This is an authentic Chinese restaurant. Some dishes are impressive, while others are mediocre. They recently upgraded their menu with large iron hotpot entrees. It was required to make an appointment for those. Recommend their braised pork and chicken feet, dumplings, and lamb entrees. Sometimes they might put too much salt or overcook. Service is always good and WiFi is fast. Rice is unlimited.“

“We have been enjoying this restaurant for a couple of years, dining in and introducing friends to the delicious food. Yesterday was the first time we got delivery. We were hosting a Chinese New Year Feast. We ordered our favorites: wontons in chili sauce, wok fired green beans, eggplant in garlic sauce, shrimp fried rice, and sesame chicken. The dishes were all excellent and delicious with generous portions. Our friends ate very well and complimented everything. The delivery was perfect, the restaurant had packed it all really well and it arrived on time. We are so glad we ordered from ChuanZiang HaoZi!!!“

“I have never felt compelled to leave a review until this place. Ordered the pan seared potstickers and the Dan Dan Hand Stretched Noodles. I am fortunate enough to travel around the world for my work and I can genuinely say this is the most complex and flavorful noodle dish I have ever eaten regardless of restaurant or country. The sesame paste they use in the base gives the most rich umami flavor to go with the wonderfully seasoned beef. The hand stretched noodles have truly perfect tooth to them as well giving a very hearty feel to the dish! I could not recommend this place enough! Truly the first 10/10 I have had in Columbus, Ohio.“

“It’s always the “hole-in-the-wall” places that are the best and that’s the case with Eastern Wok. They make their dumplings in house and they are SPECTACULAR!!! I haven’t tried anything here that I didn’t like. Everything is stellar and the staff is top notch! They always make sure my kids are enjoying the food (they should know based on how often we come in that they do). Highly recommended and will continue to come back until I move or they close. Which I hope neither happens.“

“I’ve been eating here for over 15 years, which makes me sad to say that out loud and makes me feel old, but out of those 15 years, I can say they’ve been consistent, and they maybe have made a mistake once maybe twice in that time. I feel like the food is always great. They’re always friendly, and their delivery is truly the fastest I’ve ever seen. Like I swear he’s outside the door with our food as soon as I hit the place order button, it is awesome. I’ve had so many Chinese restaurants that others say are amazing, that I always find bland, and the chicken will have that microwaved flavor but this place never does! I also absolutely adore that they do not put sugar in their crab Rangoon’s, they are amazing. So are the egg rolls! Anywho, just saying, you guys are great. “Hunan King holds a special place in my heart and my stomach of course. I have been coming to this location after moving to Columbus over 10 years ago and Hunan King has been phenomenal, fresh, and made to order without any dish I order being something I wouldn’t come back to countless times.

Today, I was actually indecisive because of how good the dishes are. My go to is General Tso chicken, but the Orange and Sesame chicken are just as amazing. I don’t know any of Hunan Kings names but I know each person there holds immeasurable amounts of integrity. Especially when it comes to serving the community. I have watch this amazing family for years welcome many different people within their establishment. I have watched the growth and refinement of Hunan King and currently. It is still the only Chinese established I frequent. I have moved to Bethal, Dublin, Galloway and Westerville, but I do not hesitate to drive the distance to grab a meal. I don’t hesitate to ask questions because truthfully the family that has been behind Hunan King truly are my friends and have my respect.

I could have a bad day in life and I can visit Hunan King and feel joy through the food and conversation with the staff. I will make sure to ask everyone’s name next time because I really do appreciate you all.

“Hands down the best Chinese food in the Columbus area. You can order anything from here and you won’t be disappointed. My personal favorite is the spicy wings with green onions. I give them 4/5 stars. I would give 5, but they are a little stingy with sauces and when you ask for more they just give you one more and you don’t want to keep asking for more, so you leave with less sauce than you want lol. But overall, highly recommended.“

“Just recently started ordering from here, but the food has been fresh and really flavorful. I usually get the chicken and broccoli and it’s consistently my favorite because it always tastes great and comes out hot. The service is fast, and everyone has been friendly each time I’ve gone. “I ordered Kung Pao Chicken for lunch. It was a beautiful combination of fresh and bright vegetables with juicy pieces of chicken. It Had the right amount of kick and the sauce was so flavorful. My favorite part of kung pao is the peanuts that help counter act the spiciness. Which grand china did not disappoint me and had a nice amount of peanuts in the dish! I also loved they used zucchini in this dish it was superb. Lunch is fairly priced at $7 a combination. I will be back to try more dishes !

April 2026 update

I tried their HUGE JUICY FRIED WINGS , were picked up on a Friday night while at the bar few doors down. Super impressed with the flavor, crispiness and size of theses wings. I already loved the traditional Chinese takeout from here and now I have to start picking up these bug juicy wings!

I do think you guys should offer some sweet n sour or even a house sauce to sell along side it too. It would have been a huge hit with the girls! They were kinda mad I had no sauce.“

“We visited with our friends and decided to try Xin Wei for the first time. The food was delicious. We tried a variety of options such as egg rolls, crab rangoon, sesame chicken, beef and broccoli, chicken lo mein and a lamb dish. The lady who served us was really nice too.“

“Was in Columbus for a concert and I walked a few blocks here for dinner. I didn’t see sweet and sour shrimp on the menu (only chicken & pork) and asked if they served it. They whipped me up an off-menu speciality on the spot. And it was terrific! Huge shrimp in a delicious sauce, big chunks of green pepper, etc. Their egg rolls were also nice and crunchy which I love and that seems to be harder to find anymore at places I try. My absolute favorite place in Columbus been going there since I was about 11 years old and I’m 39 now Family goes there. My children have grown up loving it don’t get it wrong. We go all over and try every Pl., Reynoldsburg Pickerington, Westerville, Arlington, Dublin, West Side, Columbus Hilliard, any place we can find Chinese food we have tried throughout the years and still believe Golden House is 💯#🥇🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟“

“I was in the area yesterday and decided to stop in and try this place for the first time. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken with fried rice and an egg roll (the meal also includes a drink). The lady who took and cooked my order was so kind and accommodating; she was an amazing host who made me feel very welcome!

Immediately after trying the egg roll, I ordered another one! I'm not kidding when I tell you it was the best egg roll I've ever had in a long time. I try a lot of egg rolls, but none are as good as Joy Lucky's, especially dipped in the sweet and sour sauce!

It didn't stop there—the sweet and sour chicken far exceeded my expectations! I always order the exact same thing: sweet and sour chicken and an egg roll. Usually, it's the standard rice and chicken you get everywhere, but here, it was different. The quality and taste were so much better! I cannot recommend this place enough. You get a really nice-sized portion for a great value at lovely prices, along with friendly staff!“

“We went to the Ace of Cups to watch a performance by Galactic Empire yesterday and we're hungry so we went across the street to Northeast Chinese restaurant. This little hidden spot for most folks turned out to be some of the best Chinese food that I have eaten in my life and I have eaten Chinese food all over the world. The portions are huge, the price is good and the staff very friendly. I recommended anybody traveling through Columbus that might want some good Chinese food, to look this place up and go there and eat.“

We were surprised that the place had been closed for quite some time as it was our go-to place for Chinese takeout. It has been a staple for Marcus theatre area for many many years. It finally reopened under new ownership, but no sign.

The owner was there to greet us and show us the menu. Very nice guy and felt welcomed. We ordered the orange chicken, bokchoy dish, and chicken egg roll. Food was hot and the bokchoy was our favorite dish. Orange chicken wasn't the best but wasn't bad either (would get again). My only gripe is that the prices are similar to a sit-down full-service restaurant and not your typical take-out Chinese food prices. While I would love to come here again the price is way too high for us as we like to go get a quick meal before a movie, etc. I get it the prices need to be adjusted to match inflation/food costs but the price point before new ownership was so good.

All in all, I do want to try the other dishes as the food was good but it won't be on a regular basis as the prices are not competitive with traditional TOGO Chinese places.

“Excellent Food staying at Hotel near by order dinner Uber Eats driver showed up with order but no utensils.....Called owner told Uber driver didn't take bag of utensils he sent someone over with utensils and a bottle of Coke.
