“In town on business from San Diego... I'm a taco aficionado....Got four different tacos... Great flavors super speedy service cooked well presented decently... Little small on the portion size on the single tacos... Although, food costs, labor, rent.. are sky high$$$_Will return.. recommend check it out!“
“Hands down the BEST tofu tacos in the world. I've tried Velvet Taco in Houston before and so glad that they have one in OKC. It's just as amazing. Great portion as I was very full after two Nashville Hot Tofu tacos...100% will come eat Velvet Taco whenever I see a location!“
“This had been on my radar for a while as someone who loves Mexican seafood. I had the Torre Aguachile and Tostada de Ceviche. The food was so refreshing and delicious. The aguachile was heavy on serrano peppers which was great for flavor but watch out if you don't like spice.“
“Finally found the truck worth 5 stars in OKC. Tacos were pure simplicity of flavor and the birria is the definition authenticity.I eat at every truck I can find from Houston to San Diego. Given the lack of over all quality of Mexican or even Tex-Mex in the greater OKC area, Don Jose's truck is the veritable diamond in the rough.“
“This place is AMAZING! The best tortillas and the freshest best food we’ve had in Texas or Oklahoma! We are visiting from Maine and had done a little research and the experience was better than we imagined! The guys were professional and friendly and their food was delicious. We are gluten free and had no issues. I can’t wait to go back!“
“So a friend and I went here for lunch. We were seated promptly and served water while we waited for our server. First I'll get this out of the way the service and the ambiance is fantastic and it's very relaxing and inviting, we sat outside and we were comfortable. Now the rest, so we ordered the street corn which was ok at best, the mayo in the corn had some kind off taste to it and the corn itself seemed like it was from an older batch. Next we had our entrees, I ordered the Enchiladas and my friend had the Asada taco and the Burnt End Brisket Taco. The beans and rice were ok not much to write about but the Enchiladas where strange and after speaking with my friend about his food we came to the conclusion that these dishes where thrown together with the thought that these combinations seemed Latin inspired or Latin/Mexican fusion without any realization of it actually going together. Textures were off and the representation of the food was disappointing. The Enchiladas are stuffed with Green and Red bell peppers, the same day old corn and tater tots, not even taking the time to actually cook some decent potatoes. The tacos were just a random combination of things that sound Latin or Mexican thrown together without knowing the textures and flavors would compliment the dish. All in all it was a great disappointment in the food. The drinks were great and the churros were ok. Hopefully they up their food standards soon and I'll give it another chance.“
“Good lord, was I impressed. Burrito for 11, torta, and carnitas taco for spouse, I got al.pastor, and carnitas tacos, we split the asada fries. The food is first rate, 11 is still raving about it. The service was even better. The wait for our food was minimum. So happy to have found this place only a mile from my place. We'll be new regulars!“
“I just moved nearby and now I go here every week. The more I have here, the more impressed I am. Try the tish and shrimp tacos, they are bomb. The quesadillas with birria is a great choice. But truly I haven't had a bad meal yet. And the dudes working it here are sooo nice amd friendly. And they also walk my order out to my car. Must go support these guys! Love 'em.Top notch taco truck, which is hard to be in this city with so much excellent competition. Two things make it stand out, the birria (of course) and the elotes. why don't all trucks carry elotes? for some reason it is rarely offered, but tastes so good. and utzil does it good. the guys running it are so nice. If you love taco trucks, you have to try it out.Vegetarian options: there are beans, rice, elotes, quesofish and shrimp for pescos“
“This use to be a good truck and now they are a restaurant. We came here in a busy weekend night, place was packed. The food was good. I like the flavors and the quality. Only negative was the chips that came with our dip trio was not fresh. It was fried and it was hard. Wished it was thin and crispier. I love that they give you a variety of food. I got 4 different tacos, 1 pork tamale, trio dip, and a quesadilla with fries for my 4yo. The different types of sauces they had were delish. Gotta try the pineapple hot sauce. It was yummm! The flavors of the tacos were fresh and the pickled slaw was perfect. I'd eat here again for sure and try other items on their menu. I want to try the burritos and the tortas. They had a variety of Mexican drinks to choose from and a soda fountain. They didn't have any horchata when we went but I do wan to try that next time. The place is open and lots of tables. Service wsd fast and the staff was really nice.“
“The tacos here are amazing! Me and a friend got each variety of meat between the two of us. Of the ones we got we liked the pastor the best, the tripe was quite tasty as well and it was crispy. Definitely a place to go quite often. Food came out quickly and the people working there were awesome and helpful. They got buzzers so it's easier to know when your food is done rather than trying to hear the workers over the road noise.Parking: Limited amount of nearby parking but turnover in spaces are quick“
“Great food. Prices are okay, and I would like it to be more affordable. But I understand because the food is worth it. For some reason, the food tastes better when the parents are serving it, not the sons. The parents have great customer service. Overall, it was a great experience.“
“There are literally hundreds of choices for taco trucks in okc. This one is my absolute favorite! My family and I get tacos, quesadillas, and elote at least once a week from here, sometimes twice a week. Absolutely delicious! Highly recommend you try em out! (I always try to remember to take photos of my tacos and always end up forgetting because I'm too excited to eat em ☺️)“
“I come here on the weekends because I'm always in the area. These are the best birria tacos I have EVER had. They're so tasty, and the red sauce they give you with them is so good, too. The staff is always really kind. One day I came in, and they covered my change with the tips they had in their jar. They are always so friendly when I call to place my order, and when I come in to pick it up. I would definitely recommend the food here, it's amazing. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because it's a bit pricey, but you can expect that with good quality food. I spend around $15 on my meal every time I come here for 3 tacos and a side of beans.“
“Great food and service.. love the guacamole here. You get a lot for a cheap price..the chips are fresh as if the guac...the tacos are my favorite.. the burritos.. breakfast.. anything here.. fresh and authentic..prices are great and not high like other places.. they give you a good amount of food for a low price.... definitely worth going to..“
“10/10 the food is on point. I've tried other ramen places around town and this is my new favorite. 10/10 service our server was wonderful, very attentive and loved his eyeshadow. 10/10 atmosphere, wasn't loud, great aesthetic and had a great booth. I recommend ?“
“I got 2x Quecas Al Pastor, 1x Quecas Barbacoa, and 1 Gordita chicharrones verde. The Al pastor Quecas are incredible, especially with the salsa roja. 2 is a meal, 3 gets you nice and stuffed. The Gordita was super strange texture and flavor wise, would not recommend.“
“Do you want fast food or real food fast? Everything is made fresh at a great price. You can get in and out in 30 mins. Perfect spot for a lunch break, and the staff will make you feel welcome. It only takes trying them once to want to come back every single day.I have dreams about the chicken mole taco, elote, and horchata. And the bartender, hi Jake ?“
“Food was epic. Got the caramelized onion carne asada taco and the al pastor taco. Both were some of the best I've ever had. 84 beers on tap so plenty of selection. They do flights of 4. Also have large selection of in house mixed drinks if beer isn't your thing.Parking: Paid street parking, free after 6pm on weekdaysWheelchair accessibility: Ground floor and roof access has an elevator.“
“Never been a fan of their food trucks but I like the restaurant. I love that they have an order window. As someone who often gets social anxiety I like the convince of being able to order over the phone or at the window and getting my food from the comfort of my car. The tacos and ceviche are good but my favorite meal is the Mojara Frita (fried tilapia) it's affordable and you get more than just the fish. Service is prompt, a little longer than a fast food restaurant but not long enough that you get hangry.“
“What a hidden gem! We weren't sure what to expect when we pulled up, but it turned out to be great! The gentleman behind the counter asked if it was our first time in when we entered, and when we approached to order, he took time to go over the whole menu with us.They have several Gluten-Free options--i.e., a GF bun or tortilla or lettuce wrap--for the burgers. Speaking of the burgers, they were delicious! Cooked perfectly! The fries were handcut & yummy, and the onion rings were just right & tasty! They even offered a free dessert (they had a selection from which to choose on the counter). Drinks were all in cans. Oh, and the bacon jam on your burger? Just do it & thank me later! We met the chef-- she was so kind & proud of her food (& she had every right to be!). Every person we spoke with who worked there was so friendly & kind & seemed to really enjoy being there & wanted to help us enjoy our time there, too.Honestly, I eat very little red meat, but I'll for sure be coming here again for one of those few times. Don't miss out on this place!Dietary restrictions: Gluten-Free options for burgers or smash tacos“
“This place ? mmm mmm mmm. I get the barbacoa tacos (extra meat) not because it's not enough but because it's seasoned and cooked to perfection. I don't know what they do, I'm just happy they do, and happy I found them. One son loves Tortas, theirs have plenty of meat and my other son loves the burritos.“
“First visit. The queso! Get it.The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, more Baja instead of TexMex (hallelujah!) On a sides note, we bought the dinners and took the sides home (Latin fried potatoes and lime cilantro rice) and threw them in a breakfast hash... OMG it added that little bit of je ne sais quoi. So yummy! 10/10 recommend. Same for the restaurant!“
“10 out of 10 every single time always have a friendly staff member helping me out never ever been disappointed!Vegetarian options: Great for vegetarians also great for vegans.Kid-friendliness: My children absolutely love the tacos here we always go for the jackfruit taco and that is hands down our favorite.Wheelchair accessibility: What can I say there's a ramp there's a ramp there there's a ramp everywhere you enter this place so wheelchairs are allowed all over this place! Accessibility is.. on POINT!“
“The food was yummy! But the girl with red hair had terrible customer service, in my opinion she should not be up front taking peoples orders. Not sure if she was just having a bad day or what, but maybe switching her with someone else would make the experience better for others! Aside from that the food was great and the rest of the staff seemed kind.“
“We got the #1 which was FIVE carne asada tacos. They were loaded with meat and packed full of flavor. We also ordered the carne asada burrito without rice (filler). It was also delicious. If you're a California Mexican food lover and struggle to find a decent carne asada burrito in Oklahoma, I highly recommend this place.“
“Can’t get any better, I have tried nearly every taco truck OKC has to offer and when I found this truck, I knew I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Tacos are amazing, the meats they use are amazing, so are the cuts, they aren’t terribly fatty. Same thing for the flautas, carnitas plate, and asada fries, the flavor is immaculateParking: In a gas station that is seemingly always busy but never full“
“Yum! I was feeling some proper tacos and logged on to my preferred delivery site and found Taqueria Tu Tio. I ordered several Asada (beef) and Adobada (marinated pork) tacos. They all came with cilantro, onions and salsa. Maybe not enough salsa but the meat was flavorful & juicy; so salsa was optional. Will order again or visit in person sometime.“
“Delicious food, fast service, kind staff, and decent prices. The wet quesdilla was better than the wet tacos!!! Will always come back.Parking: Parking was packed. But to be expected during the week during lunch time when the atmosphere and food is A1.“
“We got birria tacos, carne asada tacos, mulitas with chicken, and carne asada fries. Everything was absolutely delicious. The birria tacos had so much depth of flavor. The carne asada was tender and delicious. And the sauces and cheese on the carne asada fries were to die for!“
“I had the carne asada tacos. My wife and I think this food truck is fantastic. We make sure to eat at it every time we are in town. I would recommend it to everyone.Parking: It's a food truck in a parking lot.Wheelchair accessibility: It's a food truck in a parking lot so much space.“
“Just a great little taco truck. I love the finely diced carne asada and the well-seasoned al pastor, but the absolute must-have are the carnitas. The amount of love they put in these tacos comes through with every bite. They have a few other items, like burritos, quesadillas, etc., but it's the tacos for me.“
“This place is definitely worth stopping at. ✋️ I had the "Street Tacos" ?.. they were so yummy... ? ? The little tortillas tasted homemade. ... (Like you'd expect to ?see abuelita in the kitchen!) The green and Red Salsas were both delicious.. ? The young man ? taking orders was so personable; while still professional. ✨️ The restaurant is clean and orderly. There is also a small table of condiments to personalize your plate. ? ?. In the area? ? Stop by... if you're in the mood for some Mexican comfort food! ??FYI... antojito de carne seca found here!“
“I wish this market was closer, because the meat quality seem better than the markets closer to my home. They have canned and packaged goods, but the restaurant and butcher counter are the reasons I come here. If I drive by and have no desire to eat; I'll still get a couple of tacos. They have a larger selection of options to fill your tortilla of choice compared to other carnicerÃas. The parking is fine, but I can see nervous drivers having a problem parking. The access is super easy and near the highway.“
“After a long night at the Kat Williams show four of us stopped in to get tacos at 1am. We were so glad this truck was open. The tacos where good they were served with radishes and taco sauce. The asada and pastor was good. The outside taco shells were over cooked and hard.I just tossed the first corn tortilla off the rest was great.“
“Super tasty, greasy and authentic street tacos. Carnitas and asada were especially good -- both tender and cooked perfectly. Barbacoa was very wet but had good flavor. Al pastor was pretty good as well...but, all were even better with that amazing packet of red salsa squirt on them. It has a smokey, almost molé note in it that really adds a kick. Tortillas aren't fresh, but slightly crisped in oil adding even more flavor. Tacos start at $2 each, or 5 for $9.Waits can take a while here, as they get a steady amount of customers. Language barrier might be an issue. But they definitely deserve a return visit.“
“Good burrito, friendly staff. The atmosphere was bad, literally, as a cold wind was blowing strongly.I asked for no pico de gallo, no tomatoes, no onions, and especially no cilantro. When I got the burrito, there was cilantro in it, unmistakably. Maybe the meat is cooked with cilantro, I don't know.Parking: It's *in* a parking lot, so...Wheelchair accessibility: I wasn't in a wheelchair at the time of my visit, but *it's in a parking lot*, so...“
“I am not a huge fan of food trucks usually because you have to yell over the generators to order, and then wait too long to get your order with no chair for a mediocre meal. Some of this holds true for Blue Donkey, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the chicken tacos and the side of Donkey Poo (avocado chunks, tomato and cucumber salad). The chicken taco had just the right amount of heat and really hit the spot while we we attending a block party and movie night in Surrey Hills! The side was healthy and refreshing. Now if we could solve the wait time and seating issues! Just joking, it's a food truck folks. Suggestion to owner- move the generator behind the truck, it is too loud. Blue Donkey is worth a try.“
“Great place for a quick bite to eat! The breakfast tacos were good and made with real eggs (opposed to powdered). Make sure to clarify if you want corn or flour tortillas. We asked for all corn, due to a gluten allergy. And they gave us some flour so we had to ask them to remake it and they graciously did.“
“First time to dine here. Great atmosphere, clean, well decorated. The employees were friendly and attentive. Parking was close. I ordered two different tacos. The ancho lime chicken taco may be the best taco I’ve ever eaten. My wife got the nachos and she complemented the in house made chips. You won’t be disappointed!Kid-friendliness: High chairs are available and plenty of room between tables without feeling crowded.“
