The prices are quite bougie so don't come here if you aren't expecting to pay a little extra. But if you do, prepare to be delighted. First of all, the aroma's are delightful and the display of colours and topping and syrups are a treat for the eyes - how pretty. The cafe is very clean and inviting and the service topped the whole experience off. Thanks all - we will be back. There is so much detail that goes into the texture and flavour of individual elements mixed into the ice cream that it’s really a tasting experience. They are very pricey tubs but worth it for the quality! There’s a line out the door on weeknights because it’s that good.“

“Small independent owned ice cream shop under 5 minute walk from Lansdowne subway station and bloor go station.

Ice cream pints are 14.99 for the smaller tub. I liked the cookie with seasalt, the Hawaiian treat wasn't for me but it's always fun to try new treats.

Had 2 different scoop, one passion fruit ice cream and one cinnamon toast crunch. Friend had the miso butterscotch

This is my second visit, first time I believe I had banoffee pie and a second flavour, can't remember. Always a good time at ruru.

“Delicious ice cream with a wide variety of unique and interesting flavours. Got the chrysanthemum, vegan chè ba màu and Kinako brown sugar and they were all yummy. Really enjoyed the texture of all the ice creams, the vegan one was just as good as the other two.
Would’ve liked to sample some (such as everything bagel) before buying a full scoop but they do not provide samples. The bowl provided also had a strong cardboard scent (like an egg carton). Great that it was eco-friendly but the smell was not very pleasant.

“Came here for the pistachio waffles and left with the best waffles, a rich thick shake, and a decent ice cream.

The rajbhog thick shake felt like a crossover between a paan and a falooda - very interesting flavours that grew on me with each spoon/sip. The mawa kulfi ice cream was okay.

The pistachio waffles were so great. The presentation just felt a bit hard to wrap my head around since I ended up spilling a bit of the ice cream. But it still made for a great dish! The combo with pistachio waffles and the classic vanilla ice cream went super well together.

I like to put on the scale like this, DQ’s is a soft cream ice cream, they should charge like a dollar for their ice cream, but instead it’s like $4 to $5 at this time. Baskin Robins has the best cost/benefit of all. Pretty tasty ice cream and comparing to DQ’s, it’s the same price to have a real ice cream. But now, when it comes to real deal artesanal extremely flavourful and creamy ice cream, flavours nowhere else makes it and have the advantage to take a pint to go without taxes, it totally worth it to come to this one! My favourite!“

“Got the Ube Chimney which is like a hollowed out churro with ice cream inside. It’s quite sweet and is rather unique but nothing that really blew me away.

Give it a try if you’re in the area. The truck also serves savoury foods and I am curious if those are any good. Will try next time.

The amount of strawberries in this was about half the cup of sliced berries - expensive ($15 for this one) but was honestly.a worthwhile treat to share!“
