Probably one of the best meals you can get on the Danforth strip. The food is exceptionally tasty, fresh, and served with so much love. The shish tawook, and lentil soup are so satisfying in every way.

The photos speak for themselves. Spectacular meal. To the last rice grain.

Ordered grilled chicken meal ( asked for more salad than rice) and a cheese manakish. Both were perfect. I can’t wait to eat here again.“

It was clear our server was new, as it took a few extra minutes to sort out the logistics with having two bills and then taking our order in a way that she could easily track and bill properly. She later confirmed at the end of the night that she was new and grateful for our patience. Though she was new as a server to this resto, she was pleasant to work with and attentive, .“

“I first came to this place more than 15 years ago and it was amazing..a hidden gem.., then it changed owners and they tried to make it more "upscale" but it was just more expensive and quality of the food dropped..it was still "ok" for a change once in a while.. . I have not visited Belle for years now as I moved out of Toronto and then the pandemic and yesterday while in Toronto we decided to order take out .....very very disappointed The prices don't match the quality of the food and when we picked up we just saw a bunch of teens playing videogames not really customer oriented. We had to wait longer for the order and the food was cold. The Lula kebab was burnt, the home fries (that was the signature master piece) were dried up, the chicken was tasteless... Poor quality, poor customer service and expensive. Will not come back or recommend again“

“More casual than expected. The dinning room is tiny and the place feel more like a lunch stand than a dine-in restaurant. However, the food more than made up for it. The menu is short, but the dishes were exceptional. Everything was either a very good version of the dish or the best I've ever had. The service was welcoming and warm without being cloying or over bearing.“

“I visited this place yesterday and tried their falafel sandwich — it was so delicious that I came back again today with my friend! This time we ordered both the falafel and the shawarma, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and truly amazing.

I also want to thank the gentleman working there for being so kind and friendly. His warm attitude made the experience even better. And a big thank you to the young guy working with him as well — they both welcomed us with such positive energy and made us feel at home.

I will add something to this by saying that it doesn't have to be in your kitchen at home or by eating bland and boring food! I had the opportunity today to pass by and visit my old friend Johnny at his shawarma restaurant on Kennedy Road not far off the 401... @johnnysshawarma is consistently ranked in the top handful of shawarma restaurants in the city and I can honestly say that I've never had better shawarma anywhere (not even when visiting Israel!)... And that says a lot considering with my middle eastern roots (my Dad was from Egypt) this is one of my favorite foods as it's delicious as it is nutritious especially when given the option to swap out the starchy carbs like the insanely good rice and potatoes with equally amazing salads and dips... Make sure to stop by and grab a bite if you are heading anywhere East of the DVP off the 401 and let them know Andre sent you 💪💪💪“
