“I recently dined at a fantastic restaurant where I enjoyed an amazing meat platter, which included Adana kebab, chicken and beef kebabs, and chicken and beef shawarma. The Adana kebab was particularly juicy, and the chicken shawarma had a unique flavor that I hadn’t encountered before—it was truly delightful. The shish kebabs were tender, and the beef shawarma was also well-prepared. The meal was so delicious, I couldn't resist having seconds!

The service was exceptional. Both the owner and his employee were attentive, friendly, and made the dining experience pleasant and engaging. The decor added to the charm of the place with its minimalistic Kurdish-themed elements, including historical site photos, traditional dinnerware, kilim bags, and tablecloths. The background Kurdish music performances on TV further enhanced the atmosphere. I also appreciated the Amedspor scarf proudly displayed, reflecting the owner's love for his hometown and the capital of Kurdistan. Overall, it was a memorable meal and a warm, welcoming experience!“

“Visited Tabule, Riverside location for lunch. Plenty of veg options and the quality is great. Also, portions are normal size. Lots of drinks to choose from. I especially recommend Cinnamon Honey Latte (can be made decaf) or faux-jitos, if in the mood for a cold drink. Our server was Brendan; he knows the stuff he serves, can make recommendations and suggestions. The patio in the back is what you need on a hot afternoon, but lots of room inside as well. The prices are reasonable. If we are in the area again, would definitely go back.“

The Tameya (falafel) was crispy and flavourful. The Beef Hawawshi was juicy, though the bread was a bit too soft and soggy for me. The tahini and sauces were excellent.

Simple menu, fair prices, and friendly service overall — though for a birthday table, you’d expect a bit more attention.

As a meat lover, I wish there were more options, but overall, a solid choice for casual Middle Eastern food.“

I have not visited Belle for years now as I moved out of Toronto and then the pandemic and yesterday while in Toronto we decided to order take out .....very very disappointed The prices don't match the quality of the food and when we picked up we just saw a bunch of teens playing videogames not really customer oriented. We had to wait longer for the order and the food was cold. The Lula kebab was burnt, the home fries (that was the signature master piece) were dried up, the chicken was tasteless... Poor quality, poor customer service and expensive. Will not come back or recommend again“

I will add something to this by saying that it doesn't have to be in your kitchen at home or by eating bland and boring food! I had the opportunity today to pass by and visit my old friend Johnny at his shawarma restaurant on Kennedy Road not far off the 401... @johnnysshawarma is consistently ranked in the top handful of shawarma restaurants in the city and I can honestly say that I've never had better shawarma anywhere (not even when visiting Israel!)... And that says a lot considering with my middle eastern roots (my Dad was from Egypt) this is one of my favorite foods as it's delicious as it is nutritious especially when given the option to swap out the starchy carbs like the insanely good rice and potatoes with equally amazing salads and dips... Make sure to stop by and grab a bite if you are heading anywhere East of the DVP off the 401 and let them know Andre sent you 💪💪💪“
