“We had drinks at the bar that were unique and tasty! I loved the refreshing limoncella drink that was made from prosecco and fresh lemon We had a party of six so there were many dishes ordered. All of them were delicious and housemade... the serving sizes were not overly generous for the price, but they were very flavorful and well presented. Our server was not overly attentive to our table... we rarely saw her... We ordered the calamari appetizer plate... it was lightly breaded and served with a light sweet sauce. Very good... the bread that was served to the table was excellent... the foccacia had a crisp outer crust and chewy interior... it was beautiful! We did have to pay for the bread... they don't give bread to each table, had to be ordered. A ravioli dish was ordered and was excellent... it did need some extra parmesan cheese to make it perfect... The shortrib rigatoni bolonese was served in a pasta bowl and had meaty flavor with a very nice sauce. It also needed a shredding of parmesan as did all the pasta dishes... we had to flag someone down to get this... The halibut was thick and flaky, served on a bed of cous cous and was fresh and cooked perfectly... The lamb chops were served with a green pesto sauce and came on a bed of cous cous as well with some raisins and carrots mixed in. Very tender and cooked perfectly to medium... Another table mate ordered the spaghetti and thought it was very good, generous portion and was completely satisfied The desserts we ordered were the house made doughnut holes with the dipping sauces, Creme Brule, and a cannoli... the cannoli was the winner of the desserts with a crisp shell, generous filling that was neither too sweet nor soggy... there were slivered almonds on one end and chocolate curls on the other with additional dollops of cannoli filling on the plate Yum,yum!!! This is a very good special occasion restaurant!“

“Found this place on a Yelp search for Indian food in Buffalo. One final meal before our return trip home. We got there around 4:00 pm on a Tuesday and the place was empty. The server brought us to a table by the front window, which was very nice. We first ordered a Vegetable Samosa to share. The server brought us the dish, which is two nice size samosas that were perfect for sharing one each as an appetizer. The pastry was fried nicely, with each bite starting with a crunch followed by tender inner pastry. The filling of potato and peas was ample. My partner ordered Lamb Curry and I ordered Saag Paneer. My partner liked the heat of her dish (she ordered "medium", one of the two options offered - medium or spicy.). The lamb was cooked nicely and had a good flavor. The curry sauce was nicely spiced, but not overpowering. The Saag Paneer (also ordered medium) included large chunks of paneer and was nicely spiced. I'm thinking that if I had ordered it Spicy that I may not have been able to eat it. This was plenty spicy. The orders came with a large plate of well prepared basmati rice, which we could have requested more of but it was plenty. We also ordered a garlic naan, which was a single naan bread cut into four pieces. Each piece had chunks of garlic throughout and was very good. We told the server that we were just passing through town and probably wouldn't be back in the area. So, we were surprised when he brought the check and gave each of us a complementary serving of rice pudding. I'm not usually a fan of rice pudding because it either doesn't have much flavor or is too watery. This dessert suffered from neither of those things. It was delicious.“

I witnessed the exchange noted today, and a few key details seem to be missed. Firstly, it should be noted this locally owned business is run by only two people. The woman taking orders is also the barista making specialty drinks not just pouring coffee, and the other gentleman is making all of the food fresh to order. Is she the warmest soul I’ve ever encountered? No. But she is efficient and knowledged and working her butt off.The entire group of 5 proceeded to gang up on her and shout things across the very small space after the woman working tried to defend herself and implored them to remember she’s a human being and they continued to bully her. Even then, she proceeded to serve them their food with a kind disposition even though I’m sure she was feeling defeated.All of that aside, for a real review, the food was so good I went two days in a row. “This was yet another fantastic stop while visiting the Electric City (No, not Scranton...). Just few blocks from many downtown hotels, it's a gem. It's a nice sized brewery with tables on two levels, and bar seating. All of the staff were friendly and the place was kept clean. The service is quick too you order in one line and pick up at another. “Food is always good and atmosphere is great. Our server was a very sweet old lady and she took great care of us.This last time I was at Chef's I attended an event that was incredible. It was called "A Taste of Italy" and the location they featured was Sicily. The meal consisted of a four-course food and wine pairing. The first coast was an Arancini balled that was the size of a softball and stuffed with rice, ground beef, and peas, and sat in their red sauce. This was accompanied by a white Grillo wine. It was so good, and more than enough for one person. The second course was bucatini pasta with a red sardine sauce. This course was paired with a Merlot. The sardines were not overpowering and it was so good. I ended up having to take half home because I was already getting full. The third course was grilled swordfish with olives, capers, fresh lemon, and olive oil, with a side of fingerling potatoes. This course was paired with a Biano wine. Incredible, and even though I hate olives, the taste of them on the fish with the rest of the items was perfect. I also took half of the fish home. The last course was a cannoli, and I normally don't care for them, but these were perfect and very delicious. They also included warm homemade bread and coffee at the end. I can't wait for the next event in September, and highly recommend these events if you are a foody like me!“

I have a very short list of Jersey approved spots in and around the city and Zios crushes every single one of them. It’s been a long time since I’ve had access to anything like my Mimi used to make.
