So it wasn't able to come in time. And these people went out of their way to make my day extra special. Honestly Warmed my heart. They gave me a few extra freebies. “I ordered boxes of individually wrapped nut-free cookies in various flavours as Christmas gifts for my kids’ teachers and daycare staff. Delivery arrived on time and communication was excellent. I appreciated the option to track the delivery status. The cookies are huge and they look delicious. I will definitely order from them again.“

“***I DO NOT RECOMMEND *** The customer service at the head office is awful. They messed up my online order and didn’t pass on the message to the store on time for a specific date cake order for my kids birthday. I ordered cakes for Oct 21 to be picked up. I went to the bakery and was told that they don’t have the cakes. I called and emailed the head office and they said they are small business and mistakes happen. That was the lamest excuse! Mistakes happen but they didn’t even try to fix the issue. Just saying “we are sorry, it happened, we are small business and mistakes happen” is not the right reply at all. If a communication didn’t happen between head office and the store, that is not customers fault. Running around, trying to find alternative solution, and buying another flavored cake was the worst experience celebrating my kids special day. I wasted my time, energy and money on finding cakes, I had to go back to the bakery on the same day at 9pm. The fact that they just wanted me to forget and let the problem go by really frustrated me. They said they tried to make it work, but I don’t think they even tried and think of customers perspective. I needed those 2 cakes on that day, and I placed the order 3 weeks in advance for a reason. I will most likely not order from them again and will pass my awful customer experience to my friends and family. Very irresponsible and unreasonable. Simply didn’t care. They ignored all my emails.“

“They have the best baklava in the town, so fresh and delicious, I can’t stop eating! My other favourite is Persian style olive ( Zeytoon Parvardeh) which is super delicious! Besides all the tasty products, the owner is very kind and gentleman with a very professional and positive attitude!“

“As a regular Uncle Tetsu customer, we stop by for a cake at this location because we were craving something sweet, and we ended up eating in the car.

The cashier was very friendly and cheerful. The cheesecake is alway soft, moist, and with that light cheesy flavor that makes it so easy to enjoy. We tried the new Mochi Salted Caramel flavor this time. I think it's a bit sweeter than the original, with mochi pieces inside. A nice twist if you want something defferent, though I still prefer the balance of the classic.“

“I discovered The Bagel House at 1548 Bayview Avenue today. The service was excellent and my avocado veggie sesame bagel was sooo good! I treated myself to the apple & cherry strudel after and is yumwow a word? Well done!“

“A few weeks back, I met up with my good friend to stop in for a drink and dessert.

The server was really friendly and wanted us to try some desserts with our coffees. She was happy to make us a special blend of her Americano coffee for us. She did a great job!!

My friend and I were talking about Greece and opening up a cafe there and found out she was in Thessaloniki and loved it there, which is the area we were looking at opening a business.

Unfortunately, my friend had to fly out early morning so we had to leave early. We had a great time with the server and will continue the conversation the next time we are in the area.

I’m hoping she will see this and tell me what was the name of this dessert?

“They honestly make the best cakes and cupcakes. I got their strawberry Chiffon Cake and it was light, moist and the right amount of sweetness. Their mini chiffon flavours are amazing if you don't want to commit to 1 flavour. Staff is super nice and accommodating a short notice request. I would like to try their custom cakes in the future.“

“Very yummy soufganiot!! Went for the classic raspberry as well as some chocolate and custard options. All were a big hit.“

“Hazikido used to have an almond caramel croissant, and that’s what first made me fall in love with this place. Sadly, they’ve stopped it. The new regular almond version doesn’t have the cream filling, and the deluxe almond with the thick custard filling just doesn’t hit the same it’s too heavy for me. I really hope they bring back the original almond caramel croissant!

That said, their custard croissant is still heavenly soft, flaky, and perfectly sweet.“

“A cute little cafe within Shops at Don Mills. I had my eye on this franchise for a while and today was the first time I tried it. It's aesthetically beautiful and plenty of seating for anyone that wants to buy a pastry and relax.

It was dead when I arrived, so I was able to grab a seat I liked. Got the Dirty Croissant and an Iced Okinawa Brown Sugar Macchiato, both very tasty. The croissant was chocolate-ty and filled with raspberry(?) cream, and the drink wasn't too sweet. I do think the value of their items justify the cost. There's also a self-serve water counter if one wanted a glass of water, and I was definitely using it.

The staff are friendly and always kept the place clean. No complaints on that part.

The only thing I wish they changed is to add a couple of outlets. I believe this cafe is a great place to work in and I came in here for that particular reason. Only problem was that there was no place to charge my laptop. So if you are planning to come work in here, make sure your device is fully charged.“

“Food - One of the best combinations of value & taste when it comes to Banh Mi's. 6 Banh Mi's to choose from (see attached picture) many averaging at $5 each, price is tax included. They also have a buy 5, get 1 free special. Their baguette is unique, filling is aplenty.

Service - straightforward bakery, you order, they give out food and you pay. Never dined in, so I can't speak much about it.

Atmospheres - small, no frills bakery. There is a single table for dining in, but I have always done takeout, nothing special or anything that would catch your eyes. Having said that, place seems clean at a quick glance.“

I ordered some pastries for a dinner that night and veal for lunch. I was blown away by the sandwich and will definitely go back for lunch. The pastries were beyond what I have experienced from other places. Presentation was perfect, extremely delicious and not too sweet. The mix I recieved was perfect and had all my guests fighting over which to try first. The compliments did not stop even after dessert was finished. “Whenever I’m in the area, I make sure to stop by King of Kings Bakery to pick up bread and buff loaves for my nieces and nephews — they love them. It’s a straightforward African bakery, just like what you’d expect from a typical Ghanaian spot.

Just a heads up: they don’t accept credit cards, so make sure you have debit or cash. I’ve seen quite a few people get turned away at the counter. Always worth the stop if you’re prepared.“

“This is my everyday brunch spot! Beef sandwich and a nice, hot latte; sometimes dirty matcha, iced tea. If you happen to go when Fuad is working, ask for his phenomenal hot caramel latte—you won’t regret it.

“Visited my aunt in Toronto and she took us to Harina Bakery , bought some freshly baked hopia baboy and ube. It’s the best hopias I ever had . Before heading back to NJ . We went to buy more to bring home and the lady said we don’t need to refrigerate or freeze it as long as it is kept in airtight container she was absolutely right, I wish Canada is like 2 to 3 hours drive and will be going back at least once a month for supply ♥️“

“Really good Gluten Free bread options. The thin style is just enough to make them “eat” and taste as close to the real thing. I found these at Wegmans along with many other brands. I’m a BIG fan!

I do have one recommendation, please find a way to make your options for bagels “full sized”. I’ve not found a brand who can master them. They are always gummy, dense or both.

“Revamped, now it looks very modern and bright. I didn't know that they were taken over by Rahier (definitely makes a HUGE difference, and I expect even higher food quality). They do sell Rahier cakes and pastries here. It was SO busy on a Thursday afternoon, lots of seniors inside and outside the shop (perhaps because it was senior day at Shoppers, idk)

I ordered a mushroom bacon danish and an apricot danish. They were alright; tbh, I've had flakier ones. The NEW pistachio matcha was actually quite lovely; the flavours went well together, though it did get a tad sweet near the end. I went home and added more hot water, and finished it :)

The lady taking my order was not exactly fluent in English, and she was trying her best to understand what I want. She offered to heat up one of my danishes, which I appreciates. The drink did take longer to make; there was only one staff making drinks... everyone else was running in and out of the kitchen or taking orders.“

“Awesome bakery and tends not to be too expensive! I love that their cakes are not too sweet, but are delicious and that they have unique cake flavors, like grapefruit mango, black sesame and rose cakes! I loved the rose cake, actually! I didn't know until recently that they also sell day-old baked goods in paper bags at the back of the store for $5, so that's nice too! Drinks are also good price, coffee is cheap and unique flavored lattes, such as black sesame latte, are good prices too. I keep coming back here, honestly!“
