“Located in Fairmont Pacific Rim beautiful interior design. Very busy on a Friday night in early September. We sixty somethings found noise levels a bit too high for conversation. We were a party of four. We sampled a variety of dishes from appetizers to dessert and all were excellent. Service was friendly and attentive.“

“We came for a good bye dinner with our team. Our company closed and Glowbal was selected by numerous recommendations from our other colleagues. It was an amazing atmosphere and definitely super-tasty food. When the time for dessert came, our beautiful waitresses came with our ordered sweet cake with “Happy Unemployment “ writing on the plate. It was a bittersweet moment for all of us but our mood instantly switched to laughter and we almost forgot the cause of our gathering“

“The hostesses at the front are vibrant and charming. They offer a complimentary glass of champagne to sip while you’re waiting. If you don’t imbibe, they will accommodate your soft drink request. We were seated at a table on the patio which is very close to the street. So if you choose to sit on the patio, There will be city sounds which, apart from the occasional siren, quickly dissolves into the artful landscaping. Raven, our server, was friendly and cheerful, in addition to being appropriately attentive. We started with the mini steak French dips. Expertly seasoned and grilled, new york steak strips over a button of gruyere cheese atop a tiny slice of sourdough garlic bread with a side of au jus. These were quite more-ish. I recommend them. My husband enjoyed the Mediterranean salad and I liked my seared ahi tuna salad very much. The tuna is sliced thicker than carpaccio but thinner than sushi and gently seared. The plating was elegant and the salad finely chopped with bits of mango and shaved avocado on the top.. I tasted a bit of mint leaf and the light dressing was truly perfect. The staff pay attention to the guests and, when your server is busy, they make themselves available for your needs. It appears the staff members enjoy each other’s company as well as their jobs. I observed real teamwork throughout. We had the apple pie for dessert. On its own it is delicious with a caramel apple filling and it’s flaky , buttery and crunchy crus. It can easily be shared by three people and would have been enough. But do’gild the lily’ by adding the Canadian maple ice cream. We felt comfortable and satisfied. We were pleased with every bite and the Joey Burrard experience from start to finish. We will definitely go back and try some other offerings. Go and have fun. And talk to the very friendly staff who are so willing to engage.“

“The customer service was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and professional throughout our visit. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented, from the fresh ceviche with chips to the flavorful entrées and tacos. The drinks were refreshing and complemented the meal perfectly.

“Quite literally one of the best tasting menus and meals I've ever had. Food, Service, and Ambience in perfect harmony. Nothing on a plate that didn't serve a purpose in making the dish the best it could be. I will stare longingly out a window reminiscing on Chicken of the Sea and Cool Hand Cuke. Ignore the neighbourhood grit, you will be transported as soon as you cross the threshold. Do yourself a favour, book it and go. We were so eager to tuck in, I had to borrow two photos from the restaurant's instagram.“

“This was a nice place. I realize they're sort of a chain but i find this and the sister location on Main St. to be pretty consistent and at-times fantastic. This has a similar(-ish) menu, some great options. I wish i had ordered a little more food bc the salmon was good, but a little underwhelming portion-wise. I could have almost eaten a second (maybe i was just that hungry). Service was decently-good. Two small notes i wish the diet coke i ordered had more bubbles 🫧 and also (so random, sorry) but the same few sports commercials on a monday afternoon became a bit distracting. I feel like it would be nicer without the sensory overload.“

We found this restaurant on google during the eras tour weekend and saw that it had good views. At first we were skeptical because it was in a hotel but thankfully we stayed because it was one of the best dining experiences.

We wanted some drinks and appetizers and ended up getting one of their boards. 100% recommend!!! Everything was so so so good and I would def come back again.

One of the best espresso martinis, speciality cocktail, and manhattans we’ve had in a long time. The bartender was very friendly and knew what he was doing.“

“Coming from Australia to Vancouver for a holiday, this was the first place we tried a meal at. The service, food & drinks set a very high bar that we to come back a second time before we left. Beautiful down by the water for lunch, and for dinner loved watching the sunset. Loved every bit of it.“

“Not commented on food as we did not eat, however what we saw looked really good, and the menu looked to have something for everyone (burgers to sushi). We stopped in for a drink and had some lovely local IPA and a couple of cocktails. Server was super nice and recommended a cucumber socialite (gin based) which was refreshing and delicious. Best part was the bill as it was happy hour - which came in at CA$29 (which included the tip!) for 2 beers and 2 cocktails. Very nice decor and a lovely vibe. Will happily visit again next time we find ourselves in Canada! Highly recommend, especially during happy hour!“

“We went to Cactus Club Cafe for dinner and had a really good time. I ordered the butternut squash and mascarpone ravioli with prawns and it was delicious, super creamy and flavorful. We also had the blackened creole chicken which was juicy with a nice bit of spice. To drink we had non alcoholic margaritas which were tasty and refreshing.

Our server was great and very friendly which made the whole experience even better. We got a table on the patio and it was perfect, nice vibe with good music and a relaxed atmosphere.

If you go I would recommend the ravioli for something rich and the creole chicken if you want more spice. The patio is definitely worth asking for and the non alcoholic margarita was a nice option too. Overall a really enjoyable dinner.“

“Hosting our wedding at Riverway was definitely one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. It is such a beautiful and centrally-located venue. The ceremony space is right by the water and is truly so stunning in the summer. The indoor reception space is large with wooden beams and natural lighting, which meant we didn’t have to invest in as much décor as well as it was already naturally beautiful. Bradley is such an incredibly kind and patient person – we had so many questions in the months leading up to the wedding, and he answered all of them in such a timely and thoughtful manner. He was so helpful for our rehearsal as well and he even checked in with us in-person on the day of, to congratulate us and to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. We feel so lucky that we worked with Bradley for the wedding – even though he must deal with so many couples, he definitely made us feel cared for and was a big reason for why we were so happy with our venue choice.

Additionally, because the venue is owned by the City of Burnaby, we really appreciated that there were no hidden fees that we had to account for such as administrative fees, taxes, or service charges. The bartending and event staff were also very attentive and kind, and the buffet line ran very efficiently despite that we had 200+ guests. We got so many compliments from our family and friends on how beautiful the wedding was and most importantly, how delicious the buffet was (in particular, the mashed potatoes, striploin, and sticky toffee pudding). We feel so lucky that we were able to snag a spot in the summer for our wedding at Riverway – it is definitely one of the best venues in Metro Vancouver and we would highly recommend it to any couple!

“Went for Easter Monday lunch. Food was awesome, I had the roasted turkey sandwich and my friend had the Cajun chicken sandwich (she was able to get it dairy free). Both were really tasty and great portions for the price. Workers were also very kind. Good seating options and bathrooms. Def would come back :)“

Our server Riley was very attentive and friendly and really made our dining so enjoyable. He made great suggestions to try the Cajun salmon and Queen bee pizza. There experience was fantastic as they both said to us the best chicken strips they had and as you are aware, kids are chicken strip experts. When we arrived there were crayons, colouring sheets and toys to entertain them. This is all thanks to Kayla as she made sure we had a positive experience as we did. “It was nice spot to have breakfast after a long walk. Order the spinach and eggs benny and tomatoes and chives omelette.
Didn’t try the coffee (which I regret) but my friend had English tea and it was great!
I liked the food but didn’t love it, need more spices from myside to hit that sweet spot.

Loved the view and it has great atmosphere, very relaxing place and would visit it again.

Also, use the front door entrance of the club, it also leads to the restaurant, don’t need to go around for the stairs entrance.“

“This restaurant has been me and my best friend’s absolute favorite for years—it’s a tradition for us to come here every year to celebrate our birthdays, and it never disappoints! The atmosphere is always so warm, lively, and welcoming. The staff make the experience even better—our host Brock and our server Kelly were both amazing today! They were so kind, fun, and made sure to check in with us regularly, which we really appreciated.

And of course, the food… always 10/10! Our personal favorite is the spinach and three cheese dip—SO good, it’s a must-try. This place holds so many memories for us and continues to be a place we look forward to visiting again and again. Definitely a forever tradition!“
