“Tucked in a little plaza near Midland and Sheppard. My first time here and they were not busy. Your typical HK cafe, lots of options and combos. I was quite satisfied with my order, but nothing in particular stood out. Went for breakfast and their portions were generous.“

“Spotted this new cafe across from work! I think Sudden Summer Café has only been open for 2 months (according to the Google reviews). It is mainly a takeout joint for now- they are available on UberEats and FanTuan delivery apps.

We were warmly greeted by an older lady (she was the chef). She spoke to us in Cantonese and offered us a seat. At this time, there was only one table good for 2-4 people and 2 bar seats facing the front. There was also a younger lady who took care of FOH, made the drinks, and got takeout orders ready for delivery.

The menu was easy to read, and it had a lot of mouthwatering photos! I literally want to try everything😋😋 We opted in for the eel with scrambled eggs on rice, and the tomato with scrambled eggs on rice - both tasty :) I also enjoyed my Mango Coconut Sago drink with my meal, though I do dislike the paper straw (it wilted, and I am only 1/3 into my drink lol).

Overall, still a very enjoyable meal. They are still quite new; so definitely need more time to run everything smoothly. I'm excited about this new addition- finally a new lunch spot with afforable meals!“

The Food was the best I've ever had at that very spot. The burger🍔 was ★GREAT★!!! The poutine was ★GREAT★ too!
The Burger🍔 was super filling for Me, My Missus ate the poutine n' was full uP with Me only eating a few bits. I also got the onion rings because I didn't think the Burger🍔 was going to be So Filling! We left with more than ½ of the box of onion rings n' a last few sips of a drink We shared.
There's LOTS of options to drink at this spot. Beer, wine, coolers n' a good selection of non-alcoholic drinks for kids n' those who don't drink.
Well I've said enough but I don't know about the prices because I was sitting n' eating with Our 6 ½ month old Daughter n' My Missus Loves to use the card💳 because of all the optimum points📈 We get every time it's used.
But it seemed fair priced for being at a zoo.
After all the walking it's the Perfect spot, there's a hut 🛖 like structure but without walls of course n' a spot right around the corner with loads of picnic🧺 tables to eat at, all covered by tree's🌳🌲 so it's all shaded.
Get the kids out of the heat well they eat. The Rhinos 🦏 🦏 are right there to look at well eating.
Plus there's 🚻,🚮 n'♻️ there.
I hope this helps with someone's visit to the Toronto Zoo when they're hot n' hungry with kids or without.“

“Came here for lunch on a Saturday late afternoon. Haven't had ying yang fried rice for a long time. Also ordered deep fried chicken wings with fries on the special. Portion is huge for the rice. Always enjoy their Chinese soup. Seating is very comfortable and the waitresses are very nice.“

“We dropped in around 1:30. The place was empty. The decor has a quaint, dated grandmother’s house feel to it. The lady working there was very friendly. We ordered the quiche and soup. There was a vegetarian and regular quiche option. I think it was $11.95. I do think crackers should come with the soup. The food tasted good. The lady working there, looks like she’s working alone. I do think that if you order food and someone comes in to get pastries then she gets busy with them and you have a longer wait for your food. We then bought 2 date squares and 2 sugar free apple strudels. The strudels were $6 each and date squares $6.55 each. I don’t like that some of the pastries didn’t have a description card and there were no prices. There should be cards with descriptions and prices. Or a menu board on the wall with the prices. Plus the receipt just had the total and no itemized list of the stuff ordered.
There were some ladies coming in to do high tea. This is a place geared more toward women get togethers. My hubby was still
hungry after he ate. I might return in the future for the takeout pasteries.“

“Ordered satay beef vermicelli soup and it was only $8.50 (great deal). Lots of meat and veggies and it even came with a soya milk (too sweet for my liking but my daughter likes it).

Rush is amazing, so polite always making sure it’s on top. You are all fantastic and a lady who’s always at the window. Is amazing. So so polite and has such great customer service skills. Hmm she was the one who when my card declined and my mom text right away she laughed that my mom was so quick to tell me it declined. Anyways THE BEST crew.
