“One of the best meals we've had in a very long time! From the innovative brassica salad with blueberries, baby kale, shaved kohlrabi, and chopped pecans to the perfectly seasoned and prepared sirloin with assorted mushrooms, excellent asparagus, confît-ed fingerling potatoes, every bite was perfect. Our dinner companions had roasted duck breast with confit duck leg and local veg, and roasted spatchcock chicken with succotash that included edamame and wood ear mushrooms. Wow. We tasted and enjoyed everything. Decadent desserts, new takes on traditional cocktails, local wines, and outstanding attentive service with a smile make this a restaurant we will return to as often as we can. ❣️❣️❣️“

“My cousin and I had the most genuine experience at Play Bar and Grill for dinner tonight.

Our server Molly was delightful! She was funny and genuine which was a refreshing experience to have in the restaurant atmosphere. Although she was busy, she always made the effort to check in on us to ensure we were satisfied with our meals.

The two male servers (sorry, I didn’t catch your names) who were assisting Molly were great too! They were funny.

“What a great place for a venue. Cant say enough. Roberto, Ashley and staff were absolutely wonderful. Food was fan-fricken-tastic. Great comments by all who attended the bridal shower for my daughter.“

“We had breakfast at this restaurant the 2 days we stayed at Niagara. Both the western style ( eggs, bacon and toast ) as well as the Indian one ( a traditional Indian style wrap of potatoes with chutney and yogurt ) were absolutely delicious.

Moreover the atmosphere that the owner/ cook has makes you feel like she's preparing it for a family member so 5 starts aren't enough to show our gratitude for a.n excellent service.

“Went here with a Senior Citizen trip of about 46 people in June. Wondering what to expect being a restaurant attached to a motel and a bowling alley! We got there a little early but did call ahead. The mgr lept to the challenge and got things ready for us. The Wait staff was EXCELLENT. It was a buffet with simple entrees, salad, rolls. Serve your own coffee, tea. We did not hear the bowling alley. The rest. is well decorated, clean, nice furniture. The meat loaf could have been more well done. Dessert was a huge board of assorted greats! Don't pass this place by.“

“Overall I'd say it's pretty good, I got a spicy salmon roll and it had hikory sticks in it instead of tempura bits, and it was rolled somewhat loose, it also doesn't come with a spicy sauce on top. They don't have a spicy tuna roll except for a premium roll that's like 13 bucks or so. It's also kinda weird that they call their Tobiko caviar. My girlfriend liked the roll, will eat again.“

“We visited Turtle Jacks while on vacation. The food was excellent, but two servers that were in the place were not nice and did not want to serve us. Until Jen who was amazing. We sat there for 30 minutes and the two servers kept walking pass us like we didn't exist. At that point my husband and I were getting ready to walk out until Jen came over, she apologized for the delay and service. She gave us the BEST service ever. She went above and beyond ! “Best dining experience in the region.

Had dinner here for my wifes birthday, and they exceeded our expectations.

We had scallops and tartare to start. Bison was on special for our mains. And crème brûlée for dessert.

First off. The scallops were unbelievable. Closest dish we’ve ever had to dining at Langdon Hall (Ranked Canada’s fifth best restaurant). Hats off to the chef

The Tartare was also amazing. Great presentation, flavors and portions.

For the Bison mains. It was plated over a mushroom risotto…I truly feel bad for anyone who doesn’t get to try this dish. My wife ate so slow, saying “I don’t want this meal to end”. It was THAT good.

Dessert was lovely, a nice treat from the restaurant for her birthday.

We had some specialty drinks, martinis and espresso martinis. All made well.

Overall, the service is top notch, open concept kitchen creates a really cool and intimate environment, and the food was amazing, with good portions. This definitely isn’t the cheapest place, but you get what you pay for here.

We can’t wait to be back!

**2025 Returned for a third anniversary and unfortunately it was not as amazing as it used to be. Service is still top notch. This is still a top tier restaurant in the region but 4/5 in it’s category of fine dining.“

“The food is attractively plated and of good quality. And, of course, can be accompanied by the estate's wines (one of their ice wines, with desert, being especially recommended). The service is fine - attentive, although a little rushed. Unfortunately, the potentially peaceful and somewhat natural experience of eating and imbibing al fresco on their restaurant's large sunny terrace, with the warm breeze rustling the trees and a view to the vines, was somewhat spoilt by piped, rather thumpy, over-loud music, which seemed not only incongruous but was bespoiling of such an environment. Far more tasteless than the food.“

“Has been a long time staple in St Catharine's. Always good food and service.

I was meeting with coworkers and meeting for them first time in person. We had the table way over the time we should have and the waitress never batted an eye. She gracefully continued to serve us even though it was busy.

“Food is good, fish is great but is lacking any tar tar sauce or fish sauce only soy sauce as a side. The pork fried rice is barely 1/6th inch pieces of pork mixed with a ton of rice. Is it tasty? Yes. But for the price I’d expect some decent pieces of pork“
