“What an experience! The restaurant was very accommodating to our needs since we had a newborn with us. They tucked us away in a corner so at least that way we could get some feedings in for babe when necessary.

We initially wanted to try the tasting menu, however, baby was uncooperative and we wouldn’t have paid attention. Our server was very understanding and they charged us a portion of the dishes from the tasting menu that came out. We enjoyed all the pictured dishes and had zero complaints.

Finally, before tonight’s dinner, the restaurant called us and told us our original booking had to be cancelled since someone booked the entire restaurant. They made it up to us by offering the free Thai basil ice cream, which was much better than whatever ice cream joints Ossington had!

Overall, fantastic night - good vibes with baby - and great food. Highly recommend this place.“

“Loving this restaurant. Their menu is so creative and a lot of fun. We had Poutine and the Redonkadonk Sandwich last night... pulled pork, smoked brisket & bacon on a bun with fried onions and coleslaw! Wow! It was DELICIOUS 😄 Their homemade gravy has so much flavour and my girls loved the poutine... however, I REALLY wish the poutine came with cheese curds! Shredded cheese just isn’t the same...“

“Came here based on a friend’s recommendation. Breakwall was great! We were seated so quickly and the waitress who helped us , gave us great recommendations for our group of 5. We got the platter to share and a salad which was more than enough. The brisket was delicious and all the sides were great. Will definitely be back if in the area“

We went with the Sample for 2 with the Fried Duck Tacos to start; simple yet delicious and the Chinese BBQ sauce was incredible! The classic baby back ribs were more than on point and the chicken is just something you want to dive in to and devour! The Mac 'n' Cheese is a perfect side and the real highlight of the meal was the brisket!!! “As someone who grew up on HKBBQ - this place is legit, no nonsense. Best in the options across Chinatown hands down. My parents and their siblings ate here when they immigrated to Canada from Hong Kong. Classic HKBBQ, exactly how it should be, plain and simple. Their Char Siu (bbq pork) and Siu Yuk (roast pork) are essential and good. We’ve bought it in huge platters for parties and it’s well loved. I do like their roast duck and soy chicken as well but I’d say they aren’t as good as the porks. I usually get these on a bowl of rice noodles with soup. Can’t get any better than that. The prices are good. Cash/debit only - as it should be for HKBBQ. In fact, I love this place so much that we took our engagement photos here.“

“Went here for a birthday party for my friend Felix and the food is incredible and super authentic! The wait staff are all Chinese-speaking and it was a great opportunity to try some incredible lamb, pork, chicken, and seafood dishes grilled.

This was my first time trying a century old egg, my friend Boyu told me that this is a dish that separates men from boys in China - and I'm glad to find out that I'm now capable of being a Chinese man.

“My friend had a big family reunion last night with over 50 people coming in from all over GTA and beyond to King West. Her 500 sq ft condo wasn’t going to hold everyone, so she booked her beautiful condo party room.

So… what to serve? Well… queue SmoQue N’ Bones. She ordered over $1700 worth of food. And it was supposed to be ready for pick up at 4 pm. They were ready with all the perfectly packed containers by 4:05 pm. They apologized for being late (which of course they were not!) and provided us with lots of accompanying sauces and dips. The food was so tasty! Loved the slider, ribs, corn bread, corn, sweet butter, wings…. Incredible!

I walk by here all the time and haven’t once gone in to try the food. After this experience, I would definitely order from them for a party but also will consider it an option next time we are wondering where to go for dinner.“

“Stopped in after Cask Days at Bar Volo on St. Nicholas and we were just looking for anything fun in the neighbourhood. A week later, I'm still thinking about two menu items: The coriander in bean curd roll skewer and soy sauced beef with cucumber and peanut.

It's so good that I'm thinking about how to reverse engineer the latter one for home.

“Ordered their burgers while enjoying beer at Rainhard brewery (props). Delivered by ATV and still hot since it's 3 minutes away. Way better than that frozen, processed junk you get at the chain restos. Only regret is not having ordered the double patty. Oh well. Next time. There will be a next time!“

Please make it into shredded chicken cold noodles, it will be delicious! ! The Malatang had too little meat (almost none), but the taste was good. They set us up very well to take our food into the picnic area across the street where we could eat our lunch on the rocks while enjoying some live music.
