A chicken place receiving the Michelin Bib Gourmand award four years in a row - had to try the place out.

Staff we got were fantastic. Super helpful answering our questions and giving recommendations. Great attitude.
I don't know if that's the vibe or the lighting was dim, or there isn't much lighting in there but it looked sort of run down (again it was November, it's fall, it gets dark early - maybe that's the mood).

What I can tell you is the food was not run down.
Waited about tenish minutes as the food was made fresh.
I got the OG chicken bites and cajun waffle fries.
$12.50 plus $6 to make it a combo with a side and a drink - this was great value - $20.91 after tax.

The portion was great.
I had more chicken bites than waffle fries (think of popcorn chicken but crustier).
I got mild/medium heat and you could really truly taste the dusting of spice on those chicken bites.
I didn't just get like five or six pieces - I swear I got eight or nine pieces, it was fantastic. Wish I got a bit more waffle fries but the protein is where it's at.

I see why this place has received the Bib Gourmand award every year and if it wasn't in the west end of the city I would be there way more often. Move over Dave's Hot Chicken (even though there are more convenient locations).

Definitely recommend Chica's Chicken.

Really good ayce, you should 100% do it. Great deal and decent selection. Favourite is the buldak chicken pizza. Wings are overly coated with too much breading, drumsticks were better. Definitely get the drumsticks.

Takeout review:

Pretty tasty pizza with Korean flavours. Chewy dough that’s pretty unique. The bulgogi flavour was a little like getting ground beef on your pizza. A little expensive for a small pizza.

The signature oven baked wings come in a sweet and spicy sauce; definitely reminds you of Korean fried chicken sauce.“

“Ordered Sarang Feast and it turned out to be very fulfilling for 4 people. The chicken is halal and absolutely loved the Malaysian Spice and Hard Case. The ambience is calm and there is a sensory room in the restaurant to accommodate people with sensory needs. Overall, it was a good experience.“

“I can't believe some of these reviews. People complaining about a $20 all you can eat wings special, and that the wings all taste at the same. 🙄

They don't taste the same. They actually have a distinct taste between them. This is a phenomenal deal, and if you have a bigger appetite than I do, you'll definitely enjoy the 50 plus flavors.

The first plate that comes out, has fries, 10 wings and crudite, then you can order another flavour in increments of five wings.

The service is really good. The waitresses are all very young and very friendly. I was a little surprised that it wasn't busy tonight, but it is raining, and I was very early. If you don't want to have to wait for a table, go early. I will definitely return in the near future.“

The customer service at this location has improved so much. On my recent visits, I was impressed by the new staff and their hospitality. One staff member especially stood out with her unforgettable smile, kindness, and humble attitude — she made the experience even better than the food itself. “This is a super super cheap Korean restaurant in downtown (Korea town specifically). The space was quite small, we are a big group (6 people) and have to wait for quite a long time. The restaurant is really packed, and sometimes there’s line up outside (like us). Inside, The space was really cozy and chill. It’s a little small, I always bump into someone when I move in and out of my seat. The price of this space is really really cheap, especially with that quality, it’s a 100/10! The chicken was crispy, well marinated, juicy and super tasty! The tobokki one is really good I tried it so many times and still loved it. Also, the portion is big so we can share among the group. Even the service takes quite a longer time than typically, I saw only one staff running cashier, front, serve the food so that’s acceptable and actually doesn’t really affect our experience!“

“The first time we went was on my friend’s suggestion. We chose the cheesy bone-in chicken, which was good overall. It came in 8 pieces for $24, didn’t smell bad, and was nicely crispy. The staff, a young guy, was polite and patient. They also had a restroom where I washed my hands—it wasn’t very nice, but at least you could wash your hands.
Overall, it wasn’t bad, but I’d rather not dine in again; it’s much better for takeout.“

“Yesterday was my very first time trying Chick N Joy. I decided to order home delivery. I have to say I'm surprised of the portion sizes, I wasn't expecting it to be so much. I like that the meals are priced right for the portion. I really enjoyed the golden crispy fries, and also the macaroni salad. I didn't enjoy the Homemade Butter Biscuit, it felt more like bread that was steamed, but otherwise tasted okay. I was looking for more of a tea biscuit texture. The chicken skin was very salty, but the chicken was ok (for the white meat), but as for the dark meat I didn't really enjoy it as if felt a little bit under cooked.“
