“Unassuming pub tucked off of king street serving incredible food. The calamari and the onion dip with the homemade chips were my favourite but everything was delicious. Service was good and they have a dog friendly patio - will definitely be back!“

Came here for a birthday brunch with a group of 14 girls and overall had a great experience! The food was beautifully plated and full of flavor, with a few standout dishes.

The Classic Breakfast was simple and delicious the raspberry jam that came with the toast was amazing. Only thing that lacked was the corn bread it was dense and dry.

Pork Belly Benny was rich and flavourful the pork belly was almost candy like sweet, crunch and fatty.

The only letdown was the Avocado Toast, It felt a bit bland and got lost under the sprouts.

Our waitress was friendly and did her best due to short staffing but overall it was still very slow service.“

“Filled with pre-show guests, the Duke of York was lively, loud, and welcoming. The food was pub-style delicious, especially the very very good daily soup! Our server was friendly and attentive. Because we were there before a concert at Koerner Hall, it took a while for us to get both our drinks and our food. We expected this and gave ourselves plenty of time to eat and get to the concert. Wasn't my first time here and won't be my last!“

“The service is excellent and waitstaff are very good and very friendly. Some of the food items though are not that great. I had the nachos one time, and wanted to order them with ground beef instead of chicken. When I got it, it was chunks of steak, not ground beef. If they had told me they didn't have ground beef I would have ordered something else. I also asked that they take out the jalapenos as I cannot eat them. It was COVERED with jalapenos and even some hidden in the cheese. I did not enjoy them and ate 1/4 of it. I should have sent it back but I already had substitutions and didn't want to be a trouble customer. At another visit I ordered the bruschetta. This is NOT bruschetta. It is on naan bread, not a traditional bun. Instead of chunks of tomatoes and onions, it was slices of tomato and a couple of slices of onion, and covered in feta cheese. That is not bruschetta, I was highly disappointed. They do have some great menu items, the goulash is outstanding as is the chicken linguine and shrimp pasta. Their onion soup is really good, the onion rings and poutine are also very good. I was just disappointed in the two dishes I had.“

I ordered the veggie burger and it was quite delicious. House made patty with beans and corn, served with a yummy garlic mayo. The fries are house made too and super delicious.

The service was very friendly and the table by the window was really nice because the weather was good and the window was fully open to the outdoors

I also really enjoyed the house lager.

“Had a wonderful time hosting a birthday party (~15 people) at Ballyhoo. The manager Hollie was great to work with in planning out the menu and they were very accommodating with our many request. The atmosphere is perfect for a chill event with friends and family. 100% would do it again!“

Every staff member was attentive from the moment we stepped foot in the bar. Our glasses were never empty, we never had to wait to place orders, everyone took their job seriously but were always friendly and courteous. The poutine is without a doubt one of the best I've had in my 30 years living in Toronto. Hand cut fries, slightly undercooked to preserve a taste of potato, slightly peppery gravy. If they sold that gravy, I may buy it by the gallon . 🤤“

“I love love love this spot, for some good drinks and a chat whether I'm on my own or with friends. One of my favourite things about this spot is that they have a variety of foods of different nationalities which is rare to see! I've been loving the new management as well and the changes they've made from the renovations to the changes in the menu. As a vegetarian and now vegan I appreciate having multiple options to choose from and my favourite at Wylie's is Green Mango Salad, Mango Tofu and their vegetarian pasta, olive oil based (to die for, i kid you not)!!! My friends' favourites include the Nachos Supreme, Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich and Butter Chicken both of which they rave about constantly!! :)“
