“The place is amazing and cozy, with service that is always top of the line. They provide unlimited side dishes and regularly check in on tables, refilling the dishes liberally. Their bibimbap is definitely my favorite, I love the pork kalbi and bulgogi bibimbaps as well as their bibimbap sauce.“

“Dishes come at such different times for a table of 5. Food was okay. Price was okay. Not the biggest fan of the sushi. Rolls are very large and a lot of rice. Took them a good 45 min for fried rice. Asking questions about the menu, servers seemed annoyed. One of the servers was getting touched up and down by the girls sitting behind, extremely loud and obnoxious. A lot of side dishes.“

“Love this place. As a korean, I love that I can go to a good korean place in town now. I’ve tried many things on the menu and love all of them.
Some of my favourites are the sweet chilly k-chicken, spicy pork hotplate, LA short ribs, seafood pancake, soontofu soup and soybean paste soup.
If you visit this place, definitely take a leap try new items out, they will pleasantly surprise you.
Don’t just have the basic things like dumplings and spring rolls (although they are still really good), be adventurous!“

“I was really impressed - tasty banchan, good quality dumplings, and some of the best beef bulgogi I've ever eaten. It's tucked out of the way on a random Hamilton side street, but it's worth taking a detour to eat some delicious Korean “

“My son took me for a surprise, better late than never Mother's day dinner. It was my 1st time eating at Joya Sushi and it was wonderful! The food fairly priced, fresh, delicious, large portions, and beautifully presented. The service was great. Our server was very pleasant and friendly. What a lovely place to dine! Highly recommended!“

“Ventured to GTA west yesterday to buy something off of FB Marketplace and decided to see what Burlington had to offer by way of Asian food. We thoroughly enjoyed a late lunch/early dinner at Sakai. We arrived at 4:30pm - optimal time before the dinner rush! We dined Omakase-style and were greeted by dish after dish of deliciousness. We began with tuna tataki, kalbi, and steak tartar - great balance of flavours, textures, and temperatures. It wasn’t until we got to the sushi that I had the presence of mind to snap some photos - pulled out my phone because I was impressed by the details and presentation. Sadly, I didn’t snap a pic of our Hokkaido scallops or ebi (shrimp). Best I’ve ever had. I would have taken more pics but my usually-fussy about food 17-year old was actually impatient to get to each next bite. That alone speaks for itself! We finished our meal with crème brûlée - delicate and just the perfect amount of sweet. Thanks to John and his family, and amazing team for a meal to remember.“

“No problems with this place in terms of hygiene and freshness. However, over the last 2 years prices have increased significantly and portion sizes have reduced. The hotdog is an entire third less than what it was. Food is fresh though however just 1 hotdog will not fill you up at all.“

“Great authentic Viet place for a late night dinner. All the dishes were delicious. They gave lots of rice and noodles. We just wish that the dishes had more protein compared to the carbs provided, as the rice to meat ratio was very unbalanced.“

“That place is in a major need of some TLC. I don’t want to shame the place but at least get some stationary seating. It’s not that bad but the area in general is not somewhere you want to be walking in a dark alley at night. It is worth going for the food. Some of it I probably would reorder but overall it’s a descent place for bbq and traditional Korean dishes. Wish there could have been more side dishes but whatever. The rice cakes be like stuck but was tasty“

“Love this spot in Waterdown. So lucky to have this quality sushi spot in town! Owners are great. They always remember my name and order and the portions and quality are top notch. We used to drive out to Burlington to find decent Sushi but have been going here now for many years and it has never disappointed. If you live in Waterdown/Flamborough and like Sushi give Sushi Ya a shot.“
