“Fun, unique bubble tea spot - Comic Tea is a gem!

My kids are big fans of bubble tea and always love trying new places, so we were excited to come across Comic Tea at 2470 St. Clair Ave W. Omg their drinks are uniquely different and absolutely delicious! You won’t find your typical menu here, and that’s what makes it so fun.

The vibe in the store is awesome, we especially loved the featured art wall, which gives the space a cool, creative feel. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the portions are generous. Bonus: the cups are really well-designed and super cute!

If you’re in the area or even just curious to try something new, Comic Tea is definitely worth a visit!“

“Don’t Yell at Me is such a cute little spot with a fun vibe. I tried the Tiramisu Tea Latte, and it honestly felt like dessert in a cup creamy, rich, and so comforting. The Osmanthus Tea Latte was lighter and floral, really refreshing. Both drinks were beautifully presented and felt unique compared to other tea places. It’s definitely a nice place to relax and sip something different.“

Service was fast and I noted the staff member double checked to make sure the tea cup was sealed which was appreciated to avoid spillage. “I heard they got a new milk coffee drink with cheese cream and I tried it immediately when it released!!! It’s soooo creamy and got some cocoa powder on top! OMG it’s so goooood! Suggest 50% sugar or it will be a little too much (but if you like sweet one just ask for regular sugar hahaha)! “I walked into PokiWorks and was greeted right away with a warm welcome. I went to the delivery section to pick up an order — it took a little time, but the staff were so kind that they offered me a free drink from the soda fountain while I waited. All the employees were super nice, respectful, and professional. The place is very clean and organized, and you can tell they really care about their customers. Honestly, I highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for some good, healthy food and refreshing drinks!“

“I would say this is one of the most lowkey bubble tea shop in downtown Toronto. I didn’t know about it until someone took me there. It was all the way in the back of a big building. A Thai-style milk tea is my favourite. The shop was quite small but still haves many spaces for customers to sit, study, chat! They even have a corner so you can take photos as well. They have a special drink for each day, so we got to try different flavour every time we come here! The drink is really good, one of the best places ever. The price is pretty good, very affordable for students. The staff is really nice and patient, because we spent such a long time choosing the drinks. The atmosphere is quite chill and quiet, cozy as well cuz we come during winter time.“

“I went to NutTea (they specialize in non-dairy nut mylk teas) and I was impressed. They offer Chinese-style milk teas, matcha, and more. Their novelty is the nut cream they add on top.

I ordered the seasonal Strawberry Matcha with Nut Cream (matcha base + strawberry nut cream). The matcha is water-based, so you’re supposed to stir the cream in. I got mine with 50% ice and lowest sugar. It was still pretty sweet because of the cream, but the cream was tasty and you’d hardly realize it’s not dairy.

My friend ordered the Matcha with Pistachio Nut Cream which is highly recommended.

“My fav location is 85 Halsey street the one guy that works there is pretty nice to the kids he gives them pins and sleeves just for asking whereas the 2027 location they dont have the clear cups for large drinks and they told a 5 year old no pin and sleeve for u bcus u didnt buy from the Felix menu“

“I’ve visited several Kung Fu Tea locations around the city, but the one nestled along Bloor Street, right in Koreatown, is by far my favorite. It might be easy to pass by among the other storefronts, but it’s absolutely a spot worth stopping in. The café is always pristine and welcoming, and it has a really warm atmosphere that keeps me coming back regularly on my lunch breaks.

What truly sets this location apart are the wonderful team members, especially Rachel and Jasmine. Rachel was the one who introduced me to my now-favorite peach oolong tea, and she always remembers my order with a smile. Purple rice sago coconut milk was delish! It came in a cute rectangular plastic bottle with metal lid which had a hole for the straw.“

“Had a relaxing stay at TEAKO. The owner is super warm and hospitable, and the cafe is cozy and inviting. I had an Earl Grey hot chocolate, which was perfect, not too sweet. Also an order of lumpia. The owner gave me a choice of vinegar or sweet plum sauce, and I went with the vinegar. Lumpia was freshly cooked and piping hot.
There are only 3 tables, which was fine at the time because it was only me, and not at peak hours. They have lots of savoury Filipino meal options in addition to the treats and drinks. There was an amazing looking ube cookie that might be for next time I'm in the area.“

“Love the build your own platter concept of this place. Basically, Ako allows you to mix and match the sushi, sashimi and maki you're craving and charges based on the number of different items you get. Mega bonus points for this!

After looking over all the options, I chose salmon sashimi, octopus sashimi, and bbq eel sushi. Quality was pretty good, cuts were thick, and the value was insane!

Place is takeout. People are super friendly. Prices are amazing based on the quantity you get. Definitely recommend this place if you want to pick and choose good sushi without breaking the bank.“

Here's the deal: They sell real durian smoothies. Yes actual durian, the fruit that is memed for its stench. I have a genetic ability to tolerate (yup, it's like the cilantro thing) so I love it but I cleared out the cafe when I began drinking it. For that it gets a 5 stars. No other reason.“

But what I do think is horrible is how this location allows their staff to work under grueling conditions , especially during a heat wave that is currently 43 degrees. A simple fan does not suffice and Im sure fresh fruit makes more then enough revenue to provide safe and comfortable working conditions. Employees are not slaves they are the people helping put money in your pocket ! Do better fresh fruit !!“
