“Fun, unique bubble tea spot - Comic Tea is a gem!

My kids are big fans of bubble tea and always love trying new places, so we were excited to come across Comic Tea at 2470 St. Clair Ave W. Omg their drinks are uniquely different and absolutely delicious! You won’t find your typical menu here, and that’s what makes it so fun.

The vibe in the store is awesome, we especially loved the featured art wall, which gives the space a cool, creative feel. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the portions are generous. Bonus: the cups are really well-designed and super cute!

If you’re in the area or even just curious to try something new, Comic Tea is definitely worth a visit!“

“I consider myself to be a pretty ‘regular’ customer, meaning I’m constantly at this location, at times every day ordering my usual beverage. The entire staff is pretty cool and really nice, however one person stands out and has always been exceptional to me: the employee Jaimeet. Absolute sweetheart that no matter what always always always not only gets the drink perfectly right, but deeply cares about customer service. His efforts and smiles have never gone unnoticed. I’ve never tried the other smoothie/juice spot in the mall because of him. I don’t know him well, but I can tell you that he’s been a delight each and every time I’ve come across him. I hope I’ll be able to continuously have my beverages made by him (every employee is absolutely lovely, so don’t get me wrong) but throughout the summer I’ll probably be getting a shake each and every day and it’d be awesome for them to be perfect as expected when it comes to Jaimeet whipping them up. Definitely a valuable worker and more so a kind person. He’s been the reason I keep coming back and always will! Taro King 💯 great location and service all around nonetheless, but he’s the man! “Don’t Yell at Me is such a cute little spot with a fun vibe. I tried the Tiramisu Tea Latte, and it honestly felt like dessert in a cup creamy, rich, and so comforting. The Osmanthus Tea Latte was lighter and floral, really refreshing. Both drinks were beautifully presented and felt unique compared to other tea places. It’s definitely a nice place to relax and sip something different.“

“A small but a gem in the food court across from Ocadu in the Grange. It deserves the mention! Great bubble teas and other drinks! their large size is LARGE!! Good prices and friendly staff. Get reward points too. Full menus and good variety of beverages. It's my favourite joint for drinks when I am in the area. The food court has lots of tables and many food places, a great place to rest our feet. It can be crowded at prime time (long lines and less available seats).“

“I'm a little shy to admit that I visited (or ordered from) Chapayom several times within less than a week while in Toronto for a work trip. But honestly, no regrets.

In-person, especially on a cold day, this spot has a nice vibe. The woman working there was patient and friendly while my friend and I stood slightly overwhelmed by the menu. Even on a snowy day, several tables were occupied, so it felt lively without being too busy or noisy, making it easy to carry on a conversation. The second time I went back was with a coworker specifically to try the mango sticky rice. The portion was generous, so I def wouldn't suggest ordering it if you are already full, but it was so good! The third time was a delivery order, and we went all in on the mango sticky rice dessert drinks. None of us had seen that dessert flavour offered as a drink before outside of Chapayom. Everyone loved it, though 1 or 2 people found it a tad sweet.

Overall, I'm def a fan and would want to stop by again the next time I'm in town.“

“As somebody with a well-attuned palette for tea, the products are consistently phenomenal. Visually pleasing—I like how you can see them brewing the loose tea and mixing matcha right in front of you. I would love to see what a full dine-in service is like someday!

BUT...the place seems way understaffed. Granted, I've only visited earlier in the day, but other comments suggest it doesn't get better. One can't ignore the stress the lone barista must be under. This makes wait times long, which I don't mind, but you should avoid visiting during busy hours or if you're in a rush. The only other location I've seen also had this problem.

In defense of the staff—you can't expect them to be all sunshine and rainbows and take time out of their constant influx of orders to chat about your day or answer your detailed questions about the tea's origins or whatever. Maybe they forgot to greet you, maybe you slipped their mind—oh well!Not excusing bad service, I'm just saying that most of the time they're not trying to be rude.

Bottom line is, I love the place but management needs to be more fair.“

“Fantasy place to bring the kids. We've been going here since the kids were born now there nearing middle aged. We go here at least 3 times a week and more frequently during summer. The new owner has done a marvelous job on upgrading the store and upgrading the menu and drinks. If you are a regular customer I'd highly recommend the loyalty card it's well worth it and getting free boba tea's. 10/10“

“I've been here three times now and have always enjoyed the unique menu and presentation of the drinks. While they serve everything from fruit teas to smoothies to coffee, the signature drink is the Tea with Nut Cream. You start by choosing a base beverage (for example Jasmine Green tea) and then choose a nut cream topping. You begin your drink by using a small spoon to scoop the cream and then can blend it into the drink with your straw. In case you need help, there are instructions on your cup that tell you how to best enjoy it.

There's a large variety of flavour options, and it gives you an incentive to mix and match and keep trying new combinations.

Seating is limited to 5 tables so you may have a hard time staying in depending on when you go.

A word of warning about the bathroom. When I went most recently, there were no paper towels or hand dryer. Also, there is a large step down when walking back out into the hallway, and you can lose your balance/get discoordinated if you aren't expecting it.

Overall, this is one of the most innovative bubble tea options in the city, and is well worth your time.“

“OBSESSED with their coconut custard cups!!! MUST TRY if you live in this area. The custard comes in a young coconut and once you finish the custard there is the young coconut meat to enjoy 😌😌😌😌 I don’t know how they make it but it is heavenly! “Bobo Bubble Tea is honestly the best bubble tea I’ve had in the city, and I’m saying that as someone who has tried a lot of places. The drinks actually taste rich and full of flavour, not watered down at all. I came here two days ago and ordered the Oreo milkshake and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since. “This is a cute, kinda hidden, bubble tea shop. Right off the bat they have a bunch of cute little memorabilia that you can purchase to have your drink made in. It was our first time there and some in the group really enjoyed their drinks. I had the Oreo and really liked it but if I’m being honest, Coco‘s is still my top bubble tea place. I liked that for service you have the option between going to the counter or putting through an automated order.
Once we finally got all our orders placed it didn’t take too long for them to complete, considering the amount of drinks that we had. The store itself is a bit small but it’s cute and intimate, and it was a nice place to just chill and get together with friends.“

“I’ve visited several Kung Fu Tea locations around the city, but the one nestled along Bloor Street, right in Koreatown, is by far my favorite. It might be easy to pass by among the other storefronts, but it’s absolutely a spot worth stopping in. “I recently tried Tea Shop 168 at Yonge and Steeles through Too Good To Go, and I was pleasantly surprised by how worthwhile the experience was. The value you get for the price is excellent—generous portions, good variety, and fresh quality.

Here's the deal: They sell real durian smoothies. Yes actual durian, the fruit that is memed for its stench. I have a genetic ability to tolerate (yup, it's like the cilantro thing) so I love it but I cleared out the cafe when I began drinking it. For that it gets a 5 stars. No other reason.“

“I have dined here twice at their Bank Street location twice. The first time I visited, it was to enjoy one of their delicious ramens for $10 while helping them celebrate their 3rd anniversary. My second time visiting, I enjoyed their new and delicious Black TanTan Ramen and their black sesame seeds that you can crush and sprinkle into your bowl of ramen. 🍜 Also, don't be discouraged by the colour of this ramen's broth, because of its greyish colour.
