“My husband and I were celebrating our Anniversary and went to five wineries in the area. There is a lot of good wine in the area but our best experience was at Winter’s Hill. Matt met us with a sparkling Pinot Gris. Oregon does their sparking wines well. Winter’s Hill had great Pinot Noir and wonderful white wines too. We joined the wine club and are excited for our wine shipments. The customer service is outstanding. Visit - you will not be disappointed.“

Independent, family-owned, built from the ground up by the fruits of the family’s labor, without the benefits (or restrictions) of wealthy backing. We were treated to a tasting of amazing Pinot Noirs, a white Pinot Noir/Pinot Gris blend, a Riesling, and an outstanding Tempranillo/Pinot blend under the shade of a beautifully appointed canvas tent amid the rows of vines, cooled by refreshing breeze on a warm day as the sounds of relaxing and diverse Latino music played in the background. The authenticity of the place cannot be understated. Elena‘s connection to the land and to the entire process made for an intimate experience. The tribute to her family’s Mexican roots made for a singular experience among wineries not just in the Willamette Valley, but anywhere. Our tasting felt like a true privilege. We were the only group in the tasting room at first so we had a lovely one-on-one experience with the staff member (who of course we did not exchange names with!) She guided us through a tasting of a wide range of delicious wines and even provided us with some pinot noir grapes that were recently picked off the vine. The tasting room was a very cozy space. She was super knowledgeable about the winery and the region and provided us with recommendations for the rest of our trip. (Sorry we didn't catch your name! We were there on 9/29!)“

“My family just ate there last night for my daughter‘s birthday party with her friends. I’ve never seen any of those girls eat so much food so there’s something to be said about that. The staff was great, the food came out quick and the atmosphere was awesome! We’re planning a two our trip back just to go have lunch and explore the town more.“

“This is country French cuisine. Plentiful and delicious. They take the comfort food preparation very seriously but true to Oregon, you can show in your Sunday best or jeans and feel comfortable. We celebrate We drive from Hillsboro a few times a year. The staff always warm and friendly. Just go, and make it a special drive date.“

“Berts chuckwagon is some of the better barbecue we have around here. Trouble is in the northwest we just don’t have a lot of barbecue. I feel like the sides are what really shine. His ribs are good. They do it smoked style but they are pretty tough and dry and that’s what happens when you smoke ribs. Mine are like 10 times better in the oven and so juicy they fall off the bone. He’s a nice guy and the prices are moderate for what they offer portions are pretty generous. I’ve eaten here multiple times when I didn’t feel like cooking. Will probably come back again. But I do prefer to make my own barbecue over berts.“

“Even with no bathroom in rooms, they're still nice comfortable and clean rooms. Each room is individually themed. Mason Jar in rooms to.bring beer back to your room. Friendly staff throughout the property. Went down.to pub around 5pm to inquire about coffee. Bartender was really friendly and helpful and allowed me to sit at a table and enjoy a cup of coffee even though that's all I ordered. Conveniently located in downtown, walking distance to local shops.“

“I have only had 1 other opportunity to eat on the roof at this hotel so we made a special trip here to see if we could do it again and we were in luck because the rooftop was open for business so that was amazing. The waitstaff was very nice and the food was delicious. The only real complaint I had was the way they shade the tables on the roof. Unfortunately we got a table which was in partial direct sun and as we ate we became more and more exposed until half the table was scorching in the heat ao we had to do some shuffling to survive lol.“

The food was good and was served quickly. It was a little lacking in flavor. It's typical Chinese fare. I took home half of it for another meal the next day.“
