“The Mexican Mocha Cake donut was the only donut I got to try but it was probably the best donut I've ever had. The chocolate cake ring was soft on the inside, slightly crisp on the outside. There was a delicate mocha cream (I think?) with cocoa powder on top. Whatever the cream was was also absolutely delicious. They seemed to be actively making other flavors fresh still, too, as someone next to me got a fresh bar. Would highly recommend, but they were busy even somewhat early on a Sunday!“

“I was looking for a new coffee from a local place and I stumbled upon thortons. Great little place with a walk up window. I purchased a couple bags of beans and took home to try. This is one of the most amazing roasts I've tried. it's definitely in my rotation now.“

“I'm not a chai person, but my mom is obsessed with this place!! it's got such an amazing atmosphere, and it's kid friendly which I adore. Their vanilla latte is spectacular, and the staff are friendly. When I was at the end of my most recent pregnancy, I stopped in and the owner was very kind and compassionate. I felt very seen after that conversation about my pregnancy and the health system. I cannot recommend this place enough to chai lovers, people who love supporting local, and anyone who wants a place to go with a community atmosphere ❤️“

“Absolutely delicious! I came here last year for the Mother’s Day service and again today for the Galentine’s service with my best friend and it is always such a magical experience. Surprisingly sooo filling and every piece of the service is well thought out. Very much the place to go for the fancy book loving folks. Perfect for a ladies brunch, afternoon tea, etc. the tea is amazing and they give each person a whole pot! Only thing I would recommend is maybe a Kids size service cause it would be so cool to bring my little to have a tea party!“

“Great vibes and great coffee. Espresso is Caravan roasters which you can’t go wrong with. I really enjoyed the house made horchata and the Peruvian mocha is great too. Open concept for seating so there is plenty of places to chill and drink the coffee. I have 2 toddlers so it was great for them. I learned at the end that their smoothies are also made with real fruit so I will check that out for my kids next time.

“Me and my dog Biscuit walked in today and the staff were very welcoming and nice. Specially to my dog which I appreciated a lot!

I don’t drink coffee but I wanted to explore and see whats in the cafe. I had a raspberry white peach matcha drink and it was good! Biscuit had a pup cup that she absolutely loved!

“Yummy strong, spicy chai here with quite a few non dairy milk options. Try the churro flavoring syrup! The atmosphere is fantastic. I would definitely come in to work or meet a friend - the little couch area is especially cozy and inviting. Baristas were all super friendly and talented - they moved fast! My mom and I have gone multiple times (sometimes in the same week! ) and had a chance to talk to the owners and a couple of the baristas, all of which were very friendly and love to offer suggestions of flavor combos (that is, if you can't pick from the fun flavors they come up with every month). I also love that they offer a dark and light roast coffee and you can still actually taste the coffee, not just the sweetness from the syrup in the fancy drinks. They have a good balance.“

I tried Big River for the 3rd time the other day, and honestly their coffee and service is mid compared to this black rock. Even the black rock cookies are 20x better than big river.“

I invited my friend Cody who I play golf with and I met up with friends who owned imaging tech and printing company Casey and his wife. I highly recommend for people who enjoy coffee and a nice quiet time to go there.“
