“I was looking for a new coffee from a local place and I stumbled upon thortons. Great little place with a walk up window. I purchased a couple bags of beans and took home to try. This is one of the most amazing roasts I've tried. it's definitely in my rotation now.“

It was our first time in and it was busy, but it seemed unexpected because the staff was a bit overwhelmed, so I don't know what a regular Tuesday afternoon looks like! Staff was kind and helpful, and our broccoli quiches and sweet chai lattes were delicious. We didn't wait long, even with a big line. We were cozy on their love seats, and had lots of other seating options to choose from. They also have outdoor seating for nice days. We both agreed that their sweet chai latte is really well balanced and yummy! Not too sweet or spicy. I will definitely be back!“

“My regular coffee shop by work! I LOVE this place and its team. Everyone is so kind and welcoming. It’s definitely a safe space for all. Tips are reflected in price to help support the fair and livable wages to the team. The drinks and foods are yummy - and also fun and nerdy. They rotate the menu to keep things fun and fresh. There’s a cute shop that sells locally made items. It’s hard to keep my paycheck being this close, I’ll say that. Highly highly recommend, you won’t regret it! “This dimly lit donut shop was a little off putting inside, and had an unpleasant chemical smell, but the donuts were of very high quality. I prefer cake donuts to raised, so that's what I'm describing. Wonderful, soft, moist texture with just a touch of crispness here and there on the outside. Cardamom in the powdered cake donuts was perfection.“

“I'm a very picky boba consumer, but this place is top notch. I come here all the time!! The foams are wonderful, especially banana and ube.
I have two suggestions for improvement:
1: Please get decaf coffee!! If you had decaf I would have to start direct depositing part of my paycheck to you cause I would come so often. I want those awesome coffee drinks in the afternoon!
2: Recently you switched to pebble ice. Please switch back to regular! The ice peices are so small that they get sucked up my boba straw, which is not pleasant and makes it really hard to drink foam or finish my drink without getting mouthfuls of ice. I think there's a reason I've never been to another boba place that has pebble ice.“

“I love the variety of flavors they have. My mom and I have gone multiple times (sometimes in the same week! ) and had a chance to talk to the owners and a couple of the baristas, all of which were very friendly and love to offer suggestions of flavor combos (that is, if you can't pick from the fun flavors they come up with every month). I also love that they offer a dark and light roast coffee and you can still actually taste the coffee, not just the sweetness from the syrup in the fancy drinks. They have a good balance.“

“Great coffee shack. You can walk up and order on foot or order ahead online. They're fast, polite, make my coffee perfect every time and they have some good snacks like the marionberry scone. Coffee tastes divine and there is a huge menu with dozens of customization options. The mobile app is a little buggy but it works fine.“

It's a wonderful spot to grab a cup and hang. The atmosphere is why I like this place the most. The late hours are a unique and welcome addition to Beaverton.

Prices on the bagel sandwiches are steep (~$16?) for a bagel with an egg and some toppings in it. Drinks aren't too bad, though. About $6-7 for a latte.“

“Just had one of the best customer service experiences of my adult life. Chuck & Dustin were my checkers. I was the space cadet customer who used the wrong club card # after spending a bunch of time adding all the relevant deals. I asked if they could reenter my number and was told they'd have to start over. I was super hesitant to be a jerk, especially given all the extra work our grocery people have to do right now. They said it was totally up to me, they had the time, and they were willing. It saved me $30 extra dollars, so I was super appreciative. They unloaded and rescanned everything and put it back, then offered to help me out and load my car. They never made me feel bad and were kind and friendly the whole time. It was a great example of kindness and humanity in these crazy times. They deserve a bonus!“

I told them it is hot inside, so they increased the temperature even more. That is how loyal customers are treated here if they are not local. Some baristas never smile.

“This is the closest black rock to our ambulance headquarters, so I come thru a lot. The people are always cool and nice. I tried Big River for the 3rd time the other day, and honestly their coffee and service is mid compared to this black rock. Even the black rock cookies are 20x better than big river.“

“This Starbucks inside Target is quite nice and very clean. The service was great, and the employees working there were quite nice. It's a great place to get your daily coffee and something to eat as well. Would recommend checking it out and getting yourself something tasty.

I heard that the Egyptians actually build the pyramids on caffeine, then they died. How else would they move those giant blocks? I don’t know, and neither do you. Be honest, you don’t. But I really like the coffee at Ava’s, and the lady that looks like that blonde girl from Twilight makes a mean cup of joe.“

“I have lived in the area most of my life and more recently right on the street at some apartments close by and had never tried this place. I walked back and forth by it and finally decided to try it today. Overall, the coffee and food were really good. Price is very reasonable, especially compared to other coffee shops. Even big mainstream places like Dutch Bros which is just down the street. The coffee is a bit more bitter so if you like that stronger coffee taste you'll definitely appreciate the coffee here. I do feel that it was definitely worth the price of the coffee comparatively. The food was actually really good. It seemed like everything was freshly prepared and made in the actual location. None of it seemed to be shipped or frozen or anything like that. That was microwaved overall, the value and the quality of the products are really high. The location is kind of questionable however, it works for who their audience is. Local people who live nearby. They even have a drive-thru. And while it's not the most convenient thing to use, at least it's an option that's available. The inside of the coffee shop was small but they did try to utilize their space as best as possible. I'm sure if I'm looking for a nice authentic coffee drink, I will return here for sure over going to another bigger franchise place. However, if you're on a budget or if you really don't care about quality, McDonald's is right next door as well“
