“This dimly lit donut shop was a little off putting inside, and had an unpleasant chemical smell, but the donuts were of very high quality. I prefer cake donuts to raised, so that's what I'm describing. Wonderful, soft, moist texture with just a touch of crispness here and there on the outside. Cardamom in the powdered cake donuts was perfection.“

“I was looking for a new coffee from a local place and I stumbled upon thortons. Great little place with a walk up window. I purchased a couple bags of beans and took home to try. This is one of the most amazing roasts I've tried. it's definitely in my rotation now.“

“My favorite boba place ever! And I've been to so many. Nobody beats their smoothies and it's not even close. The lavender, watermelon, and coffee flavors are incredible. Lavender or watermelon + lychee jelly is my favorite :3 20/10!!! Definitely go here. The staff is super kind too. 💗💗💗“

I will note, it doesn’t say it on the Google page, but this is a religious-based, Christian coffee shop. Just in case that matters to anyone one way or the other, but expect to see bibles on the book shelves, Jesus music on repeat, and Bible quotes.“

“My regular coffee shop by work! I LOVE this place and its team. Everyone is so kind and welcoming. It’s definitely a safe space for all. Tips are reflected in price to help support the fair and livable wages to the team. The drinks and foods are yummy - and also fun and nerdy. They rotate the menu to keep things fun and fresh. There’s a cute shop that sells locally made items. It’s hard to keep my paycheck being this close, I’ll say that. Highly highly recommend, you won’t regret it! “I'm a very picky boba consumer, but this place is top notch. I come here all the time!! The foams are wonderful, especially banana and ube.
I have two suggestions for improvement:
1: Please get decaf coffee!! If you had decaf I would have to start direct depositing part of my paycheck to you cause I would come so often. I want those awesome coffee drinks in the afternoon!
2: Recently you switched to pebble ice. Please switch back to regular! The ice peices are so small that they get sucked up my boba straw, which is not pleasant and makes it really hard to drink foam or finish my drink without getting mouthfuls of ice. I think there's a reason I've never been to another boba place that has pebble ice.“

“I love the variety of flavors they have. My mom and I have gone multiple times (sometimes in the same week! ) and had a chance to talk to the owners and a couple of the baristas, all of which were very friendly and love to offer suggestions of flavor combos (that is, if you can't pick from the fun flavors they come up with every month). I also love that they offer a dark and light roast coffee and you can still actually taste the coffee, not just the sweetness from the syrup in the fancy drinks. They have a good balance.“

“This cafe is a hidden gem! The staff are all friendly and make great drinks and paninis. Prices are super reasonable and the space is quite large and comfortable. “Great coffee shack. You can walk up and order on foot or order ahead online. They're fast, polite, make my coffee perfect every time and they have some good snacks like the marionberry scone. Coffee tastes divine and there is a huge menu with dozens of customization options. The mobile app is a little buggy but it works fine.“

I know that being nice is part of the job description, but the baristas give you the vibe that they didn't need for it to be a job requirement for them to treat you really well and make sure you're getting a really solid bevvie at the same time! I personally go for iced or blended coffee drinks, but they have a pretty good amount of variety on their menu without it being overwhelming to choose from. Super accommodating, and is my new #1 coffee spot!“

They have upgraded on the food selection. Staff was very helpful. They have expanded their outside seating. Which is cool. Overall, excellent experience.“

I tried Big River for the 3rd time the other day, and honestly their coffee and service is mid compared to this black rock. Even the black rock cookies are 20x better than big river.“
