“Disclaimer, I didn't eat the food myself as I'm plant based. Dennis and Auntie makes it homey. When I look at the pictures and food, it feels authentic and rich, yummies families eat. Portions are great. Definitely smells tempting while I'm enroute to deliver these. Ordered BBQ pork skewers for my Greek friend and he can't stop raving about it. He asked me to get more for him on his birthday. Got the pork adobo for another friend. OMG! Delicious! He's a born and raised Louisiana chef so quite judgy when it comes to food. Definitely, ordering some dishes for my visiting family!“

“One of my husband and I’s FAVORITE places to dine together. Their waitstaff are always incredibly sweet, accommodating and knowledgeable. Their portions are generous,,,I always leave with a Togo box and a smile. I love going during the week when they are less busy,,, however, I get the hype and they are well worth the wait if there is one. 10/10 ladies. 🫶🏼 Thank you for another great meal and experience. “Whoah! Best Al Pastor taco I’ve ever had! SO much flavor, how did they do that! I got the 2 taco plate. 1 Al Pastor and 1 chicken taco, both were amazing but I’ve never tasted the flavors that deep in Al Pastor meat, SO GOOD!! And the salsas they gave me, delicious! I wanted to walk back and tell them in person how delicious everything was but they JUST closed up shop here at the Woodburn outlets. Thank you ladies! We will definitely be back 👏🏼“

“Fabulous evening with friends before Christmas. The decorations are warm and welcoming along with having the talented pianist at the grand piano. I had the most delicious seafood pasta ever. Large prawns and sweet scallops with homemade pasta was scrumptious. My husband had lobster tail on beet risotto. A little skeptical we all had a taste and it was delicious, too. We appreciate Mo’s graciousness and celebrate his almost 35 years in Salem. Our server Stevie, was efficient, friendly and took great care of us. Best restaurant in Salem.“

“We were in Salem for a concert at the Elsinore Theatre on Friday, November 1st, and were lucky enough to find the Wild Pear, to get something to eat before concert. I wanted to try everything on the menu, it sounded so good! I ordered the Butternut soup & Pear salad. Both were fabulous, & I can't wait to drive back to Salem to check out other items on the menu. We had awesome service and were greeted & shown to a table right away. You will not be disappointed! I will definitely be back, & wish you were closer to Vancouver, WA!!“

“This is the hole-in-the-wall diner you need to visit! The food is amazing and not greasy at all. They have small portions to order if you’d like and the service was wonderful. This is a sit down experience that takes a little time but the food is made with love. 10/10.“

“Hands down the most satisfying Chinese food I've eaten. Smells good, tastes good, served hot with a smile. Fills you up, but not for 5 minutes.. fills you up and your leftovers actually become lunch tomorrow not your second dinner and they are still tasty without rubber or soggy breading!!
So why an overall score of 4 you ask??? There are a couple improvements that can be made fairly easy that would make this place a 5 star in my book. 1. Gotta do something about the temperature of the dining area. AC needs to either be fixed or installed.
2. Crackers, if you sell soup crackers should be available. The egg flour soup is great, but without crackers you can not enjoy a bowl of it before your food arrives because it is served hot (which is perfect) but some crackers would fix that.
3. Vegetable varieties...add some varieties like Broccoli and Cauliflower to the mix. Something substantial in our plate.
All doable things on my opnion.
Howwever I recommend China Gourmet if it is Chinese food you are wanting for dinner or lunch today.“

“Staff was prompt and responsive. I ordered the Prime Rib Special. It came out remarkably fast. Medium rare as requested. Unfortunately the baked potato was over done and yet cool. The prime rib was lukewarm. The horseradish sauce was off- I can’t tell why but it had a peculiar flavor that should not have been there. Seasoning of the prime rib was on point and so was the zip sauce. I wasn’t feeling up to potential confrontation so when they asked how the food was I just said good. With prime rib it’s hard because if they warmed it then it might not have come back medium rare…also there was no steak knife but again I didn’t ask“

The French Onion soup was simply exquisite, and the mushroom lasagna was equally delightful. Pairing my meal with a glass of red wine felt like the perfect finishing touch!I must mention that Courtney's warm and welcoming service added to the overall experience. “I came to pick up some food for my ailing wife. I was paying and I left a tip, but before he would hand me my food, he rudely asked, “DID YOU LEAVE A TIP?” And wouldn’t let go of the sack until I gave an answer. He didn’t even bother to look at the receipt that I had just signed to see that I did leave a tip. I find this very rude behavior…we always leave generous tips when we go inside to sit down and dine… But to ask is very rude behavior.. I did leave 15% for takeout as well but since he asked, I really wish I would not have. Perhaps someone could school him and tell him this is not good customer service.“
