“I remember going to their original location down on Main St. right next to/connecting to the Half Moon. I moved here in 2008 and have known them for 14 years now. “My husband and I have driven past this place for years and on a whim, decided to try it. The environment was cozy and felt like a perfect small town diner. We ordered two chicken fried steaks, chef salad, rosemary fries and 3 bacon, two eggs and pancakes. The food was beautiful and the portions were large! The pancakes were fluffy and moist and the garlic bread that came with my chef salad, made my husband smile. Overall the food was fufilling and didnt make us feel groggy afterwards. The waitress was attentive and super sweet. Worth the money we paid!“

“We picked Elk Cove as a winery to stop at on our way to the coast for our honeymoon and are so glad we did. We had a great time here from start to finish. We did a tasting of pinot noirs with Gloria who gave us an awesome experience and a wealth of information about the winery and what we were tasting. We really enjoyed the Pinot Noir Reserve and ended up buying a bottle to take with us. The patio and view overlooking the vineyard just can’t be beat. There is also a fairly large indoor space with ample seating if the weather isn’t cooperating. Note that they appeared to be doing some renovations outside but this in no way affected the experience, view, etc. If you’re looking for a great wine experience in the valley, look no further!“

“Wine was very good. I think what set them apart was their Rose, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir were all worth purchasing, and we did. Seems rare for a winery to excel across multiple categories.

My only complaint is the tasting fee is expensive given you need to purchase $70 or $75 worth of product to waive just one tasting. For $35 you’re better off ordering 3-4 glasses at table for your party. The tasting pours are tiny…an ounce or less. Truly, just a taste. Go to catch the view and enjoy a glass of wine…they’re all delicious and worth the price. Don’t waste money on the tasting.“

“Hire more workers. Two guys working like mad trying to keep up with a crazy amount of online orders. In person order was a 50 minute wait for food. No fry sauce. No truffle oil for the fries. No one available to wipes tables. Wall windows open when it’s 50 degrees out. Props to the two guys working for being calm and courteous with customers in this kind of slammed situation. I’m assuming somebody called out sick, or management needs to get in gear.“
