“We were there for the first time on the evening of January 10, 2026. We sat at the bar for a bit because we were a little early for our reservation. Michelle brought us a couple of beers and we ordered a plate of six oysters. She chatted cheerfully with us while she busily poured drinks for others and then introduced us to her two sons and a son’s girlfriend, who all also work there. Everyone was so friendly and kind! When our table was ready, Michelle thanked us for being there and said that it was great to meet us. At our table, we ordered another half dozen oysters, a caesar salad, a couple more beers, and two big bowls of cioppino. Absolutely delicious with the large, thick slices of freshly-made garlic bread for dunking. This place is a true gem. Four generation of family working there and their love for the place and what they do shows. Can’t wait to go back!!“

“This past weekend we had the most incredible dinner with friends at Jake's. We had the stuffed salmon with potatoes and broccolini. For dessert we had the butterscotch pudding and chocolate tote. All were wet your pants AMAZING. The mixed drinks were divine. Our server, Joan, was attentive, funny, and the icing on the cake. We will definitely be going back! Thanks Jake's for being our new favorite restaurant!“

“Had a delivery here Sunday 08/08/21 on a partial load. Soon as I arrived I was greeted and told to call a number for the receiving office to get assigned a door. Plenty of room to dock and then some and it took them under 10 minutes to unload the product. 10/10 experience would definitely come back“

“I can’t say enough good things about Bai Mint Thai! The food and service is consistently amazing. They offer free delivery in the neighborhood. I order from them at least 2/3 times a month. The Tom kha soup, Pineapple fried rice, Panaang curry, pad Thai, Larb salad all SO GOOD! I think they chargrill the vegetables or something, every bite is perfect and full of flavor. Love, love, LOVE this restaurant so much! Highly recommend.“

“The food was hot, flavorful and with good texture and sauces, now admittedly I'm a sushi guy so that's what I got for, however; even if I didn't live right around the corner I would *highly* recommend stopping in for their tempura sushi. It is absolutely Devine in my opinion. My only complaint? I wish the sake were just a tad better. Wonderful place to sit down for a good meal, sober, sloshed, or anything in-between. “This is a pretty neat and family friendly place to go for some wood fired pizzas. It's located in the central eastside near OMSI. You can enjoy your meal in a restored train car. We ordered a few pizzas to share - pepperoni, pineapple express, and wood-fired mushroom. We also had a pepperoni garlic cheese bread with Caesar salad as well as some wood fired hazelnuts. The pizzas were well made with the crust having the right amount of chewiness to it. The mushroom pizza was my favorite of the three. The only bad part is that when we wanted more pizzas, the staff told us that they ran out of pizzas, which was a bummer.“

“This is the quintessential local fish and chips joint in the best possible way. It has a classic local old school feel with hard working friendly service. I cannot say I've had better fish and chips anywhere. They use wild Alaskan cod that is ready lightning fast. It is so crunchy, juicy, fresh and tasty that I didn't even use the malt vinegar that is usually my favorite part. The chips are hot crunchy krinkle kuts...also my favorite. The surprise treat is the tartar sauce. Its homemade and killer, not the gross stuff from a jug. The coleslaw slaw is a creamy classic slightly sweet with little or no mustard or vinegar taste. Reasonable prices and portions for quality food. This is a seemingly hidden gem. They have nice burger and sandwich options that Im dying to try, but every person in there got the fish and chips. This is a new happy place for me.“
