“From our nine year old: Amazing service and great mocktails! We went during the make your own Gimbap and it was absolutely amazing!!“
“It's one of the best bbq around! Anytime we go to the moda center, my wife and I share an entree. The portions are huge! I would highly recommend stopping here if you're nearby! We love the pulled pork and macaroni, but everything is so good there!“

“I don't recommend Reverends' BBQ because I just discovered it after all these years and I don't want it to be too crowded when I start taking my dad there on a regular basis.“

“JJs is bomb. Came here after a long day at the river, and it hit the spot. As a Louisiana native, it was nice to get a taste of home. The customer service alone is worth the visit, but the food is awesome too. I haven't found good brisket in Portland until this place! Stoked to find this place for a nice convo and delish meal.“

“We ordered 2 pho orders togo. Prices are good, portions are good, pho broth is good, place is clean and friendly staff. The only thing that I really wish that was better was the brisket, it was thin, dry and tough also the tendon was a little tough compared to Pho Hung and Pho Oregon, it usually melts in your mouth. I would of gave it a 5 stars if the meat was tender. If the chef could work on not overcooking the meat then this would be my go to spot.“

“We had J&L cater our 130 person wedding with two choices of Meats and 3 sides. The whole process with them went so smoothly, they delivered our food timely and we received TONS of great reviews on the food. Their catfish was AMAZING and the corn bread and green beans with bacon were a hit. If I ever had to do another large event they will be number one choice. thank you guys so much for taking our wedding to the next level! Taylor and James Roberts“

“Good bq w beer and reasonable prices 🐷 Cannot wait to get the meatball sandwich or the Mac & cheese. Best coleslaw 😋“
“Let me just start by saying that it is hard to impress this Missouri boy with BBQ! The pulled pork sandwich was excellent (though a bit salty) and the sauce tangy. The Mac and cheese was excellent as was the Apple coleslaw.
I ordered at the First Friday event in Milwaukie. Only thing I’d ask is maybe a choice between pulled pork and brisket.“

“Came here for brunch on a Sunday and got a table right away so already doing good. I got the poutine and partner got the Blink pancakes. The pancakes were alright but the poutine was great. Always nice to get decent BBQ and the brisket on the poutine hit the spot. The poached eggs and fries were equally awesome too. I'll be back to try the dinner menu for sure and see if the BBQ holds up.“

“So good! Probably the best BBQ in Portland. I had the burnt ends and my friend had the ribs. Both were fantastic. Great beers from Little Beast Brewing too. Will definitely be back.“

“First time here and wow, the Texas BBQ brisket is awesome!! The burnt ends just melt in your mouth. I wish I could come back for more. I was here for a farewell work lunch with my teammate. Seriously, don't hesitate—just go here. You won't be disappointed with the food.“

“If you’re curious about Portland’s BBQ scene, this place does not disappoint. The brisket and pulled pork are heavy hitters, but the real winner is their BBQ tacos.
It beats Matts BBQ tacos at great notion by a country mile. Wonderboy could have taken a similar route and been just as basic with their take on tacos + BBQ, but whatever genius lives behind WONDERBOY’s food truck went bold with their tacos and delivered an exceptional dose of culinary creativity leaving you wondering WTF you just ate, and how the hell they managed to make the best taco the world has ever seen.
If I you’re looking for basic tacos, go to LA, if you’re looking for basic BBQ, go to Matts, if you want your mouth to go on a magical journey that pairs tortillas, crispy cheese crust, pickled everything with meat good enough for the gods, go here.“

“We really like the smash burgers here ($9). The burger has pickles, romaine lettuce, tomato, cheese, aioli sauce and a grilled bun. The only thing missing are onions. The fries ($5) are excellent and there’s enough for at least two people in one order.
They also have hard to find soft serve ice cream. And unique and delicious sundaes! Kids and adults love um!
The menu is interesting - with mostly comfort food and sides with a touch of a coastal town style (Rockfish sandwich, chowder and sometimes a Po’ Boy). Nice looking Brunch! Plus sandwiches, salads, sides and soups. The quality is pretty high here and the service is very friendly. Recommended!“

“first time here and i absolutely loved it!! i ordered takeout but when i went in to pick it up, the atmosphere was super warm and cozy. the food was hot, fresh, and delicious. i got the brisket with mild bbq, pork spare ribs with sweet bbq, mash potatoes and coleslaw. the mash potatoes were warm and the gravy was the perfect amount of savory. the coleslaw had just the right amount of sweetness, and the meat was seasoned and cooked to perfection. i will definitely be back!“

“soooo good!! My favorites are the brisket and beef bulgogi. The steamed egg is also amazing. Like a tiny souffle! various condiments... i think next time I'll do a la carte of the meat portions. mostly because after two rounds of AYCE I'm overstuffed and no taking leftovers... can't wait to go back!“

“We went last night (not our first time and definitely not the last) and had a truly great time. Our toddler LOVED the play area they have set up for kids, which made waiting for food so much easier. You guys have my loyalty for that alone, but the food is INCREDIBLE. We got the family platter and were able to share between 4 adults with tons left over to take home. The baby back ribs were phenomenal and the brisket just melts in your mouth. Mashed potatoes are creamy and delicious, the potato salad is just right, and we tried both kinds of slaw — the cranberry is good but the OG is my favorite. Atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, dining area is well spaced, and the staff is always friendly. Service was a little bit slow, but in a small business on a Saturday night kind of way, not in a people aren’t doing their jobs kind of way. We’re really lucky that they’re in our neighborhood, but they’re worth the trip if you’re not local. See y’all next time! 💙“
