What a charming place, with very delicious food. Since moving into the neighborhood, I’ve eaten nearly their whole menu and they are consistently good.

I have not tried:

Tomato ramen
Vegan miso

I have tried every other flavor of ramen, and their seaweed salad (tasty), gyoza (excellent), edamame (passable), takoyaki (surprisingly good) and karaage which is great.

Is there room for improvement in the food? Yes! I actually think the protein could use work. All of the ramen broths, and the noodles, are excellent. The protein can be a bit on the dry side, and especially the chashu, could be enhanced.

The staff are super friendly, the space is impeccably clean, the haste in which food is prepared is amazing, and with more traffic, I believe they could be a part of the “best in Portland,” conversation.“

“This place never disappoints. We've been both in the restaurant and gotten delivery before. Atmosphere can be a little loud, but it’s always clean and inviting, tables have nice separation and you don't feel like you're on top of your neighbor. Portions are generous and prices are a little high, but worth it.“

“Ikimono Ramen is a quaint, relaxed restaurant offering Ramen and Pho options. The decor inside is very cute, making it a great place to sit down and have some yummy food.

Of course, if you're going to a Ramen restaurant it's to get some Ramen, and I'm happy to say that the Ramen here was very good. I found it to be perfectly salty, warm, and filled with ingredients that taste delicious. For $15, this a great meal to get when you're craving some Ramen. I recommend a stop here!“

“First time visit last night with six of us and they are very nicely opened up the toast restaurant and let us sit in there and we had such a nice evening and the waiter was so friendly and wonderful and really helped us out to get acquainted with the offerings we tried the vegetarian potstickers and also the various vegetarian tacos which were really good. Later we each had a vegetarian Ramen and every single one was delicious and I especially liked the one with the tofu and the hard-boiled egg and the spinach. They brought a small container of warm sake for me which I really liked with a tiny cup I got to choose. OverallI gave it a big 10+ and I would definitely eat there again and probably will go back pretty soon. The main thing is to try to find a time when the parking is not completely full in the area be prepared to park a ways away and walk which is good for us so it really wasn’t a problem.“

“Sincerely the best Ramen I have ever had. I asked for spicier Ramen and he's taken up the challenge multiple times and keeps making it hotter for me. Also wonderful customer service and the ingredients taste amazing. The dishes used are amazing, he gives you a soup spoon for the broth too. I've never seen such clear shoyu broth that I can see all the food in it and yet still blast in flavor while not overwhelming the different ingredients. I truly love this place and would love to see him grow to higher horizons.“

“This hands down is one of my favorite restaurants in Portland OR. It the same quality of other top spots in the US like Nobu , O-Ya , and Morimoto . The location is perfect located in the Pearl district. The chefs are high quality and the fish is extremely fresh. They have a great but simple flavor approach. “Great food, service and menu. The house specialty rolls are in innovative and delicious, they have a great selection of nigiri/sashimi choices, and there was something extra yummy about the miso soup. This place may not be super flashy, but it's sincere and wonderful.“

“Stopped in on a whim for lunch, and ordered the Kaizen and Salmon Aburi rolls, Sunomono, Gyoza and hot green tea.

The staff was really kind and attentive, the majority of the food was great. We had one roll where the tuna was not really tender and had some sinew in it that made it tough to eat (that's why we can't give it 5 stars), but the roll it was in had good flavor.

We will definitely give them another try.“

“A medium sized izakaya Raman shop perfect for an informal dinner.

The three appetizers we had were pretty good, the karage was crunchy and juicy on the inside. What the breading lacked in flavor the zesty Mayo made up for in character. 7.5/10

The ramen was served with excellent portions and at a normal Portland price, about 15 bucks before add-ons. I always add on an egg for good measure. My wife and I both ordered the signature ramen on the menu and it was good, somewhat mild in flavor but still rich. You can tell the tare is made in house and with care. 7.5/10

The service was excellent, considering the price and atmosphere of the restaurant. Wait staff were attentive in picking up plates that were used and quickly serving food. 9/10

The ambiance is nothing to write home about, this isn't a dining experience, this is your local delicious ramen spot. Now Beyonce was frankly unremarkable and that's okay. 6/10

All in all, if a friend wanted to check it out or wanted to eat there, I'd happily oblige. But I've got my own ramen spot closer to my house that I enjoy more so I won't be returning regularly.“

“Nob Hill Food Carts was such a fun spot to go to within our neighborhood! Tried it out for the first time and even on a chilly Thursday there were still around 4 carts still open for food. We got Farmer and the Beast and it was AMAZING, definitely gonna be coming back.My only complaint is that there is no heating at this food cart pod when others we've been to (Midtown Beer Garden & Hawthorne Asylum) have heating provided. It would've made the chilly night more bearable but was still a great spot for food. Highly recommend“

We will be back. My kids loved the seared salmon donut., and the banana B-ritto. I had the treasure roll and a bowl with mixed fish. We got wasabi mayo sauce, chili sauce and another orange mayo- delicious. We kinda stuffed ourselves, to be honest. (And they use paper goods to wrap their food instead of plastic.) thank you!“
