“Even though I was traveling on business, staying at the Hotel Oregon was enjoyable. Never have had issues with the common bathroom. The rates don't include breakfast but there is tea and coffee available. There is breakfast available on-site, and several nice breakfast places within a few blocks.”

“I have only had 1 other opportunity to eat on the roof at this hotel so we made a special trip here to see if we could do it again and we were in luck because the rooftop was open for business so that was amazing. The waitstaff was very nice and the food was delicious. The only real complaint I had was the way they shade the tables on the roof. Unfortunately we got a table which was in partial direct sun and as we ate we became more and more exposed until half the table was scorching in the heat ao we had to do some shuffling to survive lol.”

“We stayed overnight in McMinnville prior to a visit to the Evergreen Air and Space Museum. In need of coffee, we found Flag & Wire. I believe it was the best coffee I have ever tasted. Very smooth and delicious. My partner agreed that it was excellent coffee. We splurged and chose two pastries from their tiny pastry case - a marionberry danish and an apple-bourbon handpie. Both were excellent with delightful laminated pastry. We'll be back tomorrow morning!”

In fact, my friend and I loved it so much that we had lunch here twice during our trip. The corn chowder was absolutely fantastic—so creamy with just the right amount of seasoning. My friend enjoyed the ½ Turkey Sandwich, while I devoured the Chicken Cashew Salad, which was fresh and delicious. The broccoli cheddar soup was just okay, but the tomato vegetable soup was a standout, according to my friend. And let’s not forget the in-house wheat bread—fresh, flavorful, and the perfect complement to our meal. Our waitress, Andrea, was incredible! I highly recommend asking for her—she was attentive, friendly, and made our experience even better. To finish, we split a lemon cupcake—our only regret was sharing it! It was perfectly moist, and the cream cheese icing was out of this world. Don’t miss your chance to enjoy an amazing lunch here. Hours: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM.”

The inside is bigger than it looks. And the bar side is super cozy. 100/10 recommend!”

“Best house made Pot Stickers in Yamhill County. The atmosphere is vintage 1970's Chinese restaurant style. The bar has had a small renovation the flooring has been redone and additional seating has been added. The service is always great and the food is scratch made. When you order sweet and sour chicken you actually get pretty good sized pieces of chicken not just breading. Their pot stickers are large and made in house not frozen! We have tried almost everything on the menu and every dish has been excellent. Our favorite go to is an order of pot stickers. Then we pick 3 from their Pick Favorites selection; crab puffs, BBQ pork, and sweet and sour chicken. Seriously the best Chinese food I have had in a very long time. I like that they do not use artificial coloring or MSG. The owners are very nice and great people which is refreshing. They also own Kin's Bar and Grill in Lafayette, Or. I was told we could get the same amazing pot stickers there as well. FYI they do have a lot of pool tournaments at any given time. We still got great service and food even with so much going on.”

“Berts chuckwagon is some of the better barbecue we have around here. Trouble is in the northwest we just don’t have a lot of barbecue. I feel like the sides are what really shine. His ribs are good. They do it smoked style but they are pretty tough and dry and that’s what happens when you smoke ribs. Mine are like 10 times better in the oven and so juicy they fall off the bone. He’s a nice guy and the prices are moderate for what they offer portions are pretty generous. I’ve eaten here multiple times when I didn’t feel like cooking. Will probably come back again. But I do prefer to make my own barbecue over berts.”

The people are friendly IF you are friendly with them. If you question anything negative about the product, i.e. what happened to the original crust? They get defensive. If you have an attitude then they probably won't deal well. The pizza is better than Domino's but probably not as good as the designer, more expensive pizzas.”

The pork burrito was plentiful (2 meals for an old guy), very moist and tender. Rice and beans were home cooked, fresh and delicious. Service was fast, friendly and efficient. Because of the high ceilings with exposed beams your conversation stays at your table as there is no echo. Prices were very reasonable. You may sit inside or out. Go!”
