So my friend, who I got the Celebration Cake for her birthday, moved back to the east coast. Before she left, she requested to have the Celebration Cake one last time! Not needing the writing this time, they piled it with blueberries, blackberries, and SOUR CHERRIES!!! The sour cherries were soooo delicious! DELICIOUS!!!
I also grabbed a zucchini caprese focaccia sandwich. I was running around on errands, I didn't really plan on eating the sandwich until later, so when I stopped at my place to drop off the cake, I decided to take a bite before I left. Well, I ended up eating the whole thing. It was so yummy.

“I really want to love this place, I really do. The bread is amazing, the sandwich ingredients are fresh and delicious, but I can't give it 5 stars due to the actual physical makeup of the sandwich. The entirely chopped nature of the sandwich ingredients lead to half the contents of the sandwich on your lap after a few bites.

If they were to hollow out the bread a bit to make room for the ingredients, it would work, but as I received it, think of two flat surfaces hinged at one side--when any pressure, such as a bite, is placed on the (undeniably amazing) bread, it squeezes the contents out around the perimeter and inevitably leaves a large portion in the sandwich wrapper on the table or your lap, meaning you have to open the sandwich and scoop up the fallen ingredients with your fingers. Not an ideal experience. If the sandwiches were actual traditional sandwiches with the same bread and ingredients and not chopped into a salad, this place would be the best place in PDX.“
