“I visit Pfriem Milwaukie often and always have a great time! The food and drinks are delicious. Service is always friendly and fast. I visited at 4pm for the Happy Hour menu. $6.50 beers, $12 cocktails, and a good variety of small-bite food options. I ordered the $8 bratwurst plate, and $5 soup with baguette. Everything tasted great!“

“Super amazing time. I would recommend taco Tuesday and getting the fusion birria and Vietnamese tacos. Also the pork belly skewers. The mint peach cider and the #13 kosch is also good. The green beans and the shishito peppers were amazing starters and on the side of the meat.“

“Some of the best beer I had anywhere in Oregon. The brewer here has her recipes absolutely dialed in. The Summerfield was especially creative and delicious, I honestly wish I could order cans of their beers in California. I didn’t get a chance to try the food, but I definitely will next time. I can’t wait to visit Portland again and come back for more.“

“We live 3/4 across the country in Indiana but every time we come to town we always visit the Ale & Cider House. The lady who owns the place and always seems to take care of us and is always very friendly. As for the beers and ciders they are the best we’ve had. Loved the ciders before they filtered them but still taste just as good but without the “look”.😉 A true gem that you must try next time you are in the quaint little town of West Linn. Thanks for the awesome drinks and hospitality!!“

“This place has a decent vibe from the past when things were simpler. Nice leather booths, dark interior, jazz/soul playlist and general feel.
Beer is mid. I tried Fracture's Pale and west coast IPA: nothing to write home about, nothing to complain about. Very west coast flavor that neither pushes boundaries or offends.
4 star Portland establishment.“

“Heartbroken and utterly gutted to discover that the restaurant and taproom is closed. I made plans every Pickathon to visit and enjoy a taster round and one of their signature dishes and the wonderful servers. I feel fortunate that I have enjoyed for the past three years. I would love to know where the chef went. His pulled pork bbq sandwich, fish and chips were off the hook.“

“Lynn was incredibly helpful when I needed to create a gift for our head carpenter. She helped me choose beer and a tee shirt and then helped me carry everything to the car. I can't say enough about the service. Thanks Lynn.“

“Our first visit . . instantly charmed. We wanted to have a pre event drink or two before our corporate dinner up the street and are we ever glad we did. Very nice atmosphere and service, great beer of course and a very inviting looking back patio area. Also, really enjoyed the hanging plants and skylight. We definately plan to come back.“

“A must visit for anyone visiting Portland! Watch a movie and get some great Mcmenamins snacks and drinks along with it. Then chill at the awesome restaurant and bar after to recap with friends, maybe walk a couple doors down to the other Mcmenamins spots while you're there too. Love it!“

“Met my significant other here. Also, mystical magical space with nighttime happy hour & cozy spaces. Now sort of feels like a pre-show bar for Al's Den.
*Not* accessible due to building age and entrance to this space.“
“Our first time here and the beer was good! The food ops are endless with all the food carts! The place was hopping for a Friday night and it is family and pet friendly. I couldn’t believe how many kids there were!“

“Holy smokes... we stumbled upon Schilling's while driving by! Talk about delish.... we shared the cheese curds, loaded tots, and chicken strips and fries.
One piece of advice..... GET THE HOUSEMADE FRY SAUCE! It is so good.
Atmosphere 10/10 - music playing but comfortable level. Garage door was open and it was so nice.
Staff - 10/10 - super kind and helpful. Very personable
Food 100/100 - so excited that the whole place is Gluten Free.
Would totally recommend this place. Super fun Atmosphere and delish food.“
“The gluten free food here is some of the best I've ever had. You'd never guess it's gluten free. The fried chicken is crunchy, moist as you bite into it and flavorful. Even better are the fish and chips. If you have celiacs and want to eat food you've not had in years this is the place. The beers are gluten free and delicious.“

“Great local taproom. They play great music on a double record player, and great live music on the weekends. The cider in particular is very good. The food is hot or miss, the pizza is great if a little pricey, the apps and sandwiches are getting better.
Wheelchair accessibility: Not easily accessed by wheelchair that I could see. At least one or 2 steps at every entrance.“
“So happy to have this place in the neighborhood! Wonderful little spot that feels like your back yard. Nice food and drinks. Andrew is super cool and a great bartender! Would love to see what their event rental options would be for my local non profit theatre troupe.“

“I have gone here plenty of times with friends after work. It's a nice little spot. Enjoy the drinks as they have their own beers and whiskeys. Their cocktails even seasonal ones are really good. The food is typical for a what it is, nothing too fancy but satisfying.“
“Excellent Coffee Tour. The gentleman that did the tour was extremely knowledgeable about all things coffee. It was easy to follow the things that he said and we were able to sample the Sumatra and Kenya blends. I Love That Mcmenamins makes the extra effort to make sure they are working with fair trade brands and no chemicals. Its so cool to learn about the ends and outs of roasting the beans and the formulas they have to follow. I had no idea all that went into making an awesome cup of coffee.“

“Zoiglhaus has turned into a good food hall with about 8 places to order from. They still have their signatures beers on tap and a small menu of yummy German food options. You can pick up canned beer from the cooler as well.
Please is cozy and I'm always happy to be here.“

“This place is something special. First time I've ever felt like really spending time in a bar. I don't go to bars and I don't write reviews. The 13th Moon has me doing both. Anybody that had a negative experience, earned one.“

“Only just discovered this location (new to the neighborhood), so only been a few times so far. Each time we've tried something new and have not been disappointed yet. The food has been made fresh and hot every time. Menu is small but has a good variety. Beers have been great. Service has been wonderful every time. Looking forward to becoming a regular.“

“First Visit and the place is pretty cool. Idk how you get up here if you can't take Steps and there's a lot of them! It's an interesting place for sure. Food is so so, but decent. I got the Smash Burger and was very disappointed that it is mainly a huge, thick bun with very thin small patties (3) attached to make 1 flat burger. Barely any sauce or cheese. I ended up having to order more food! Got the half Tuna Sand with Fries, it was OK. Ranch dressing was very good. The Raspberry Mule was tasty but lacked alcohol. Service was decent. Patio is inside with large openings but it wasn't getting much breeze so rather warm with higher temps. Bathrooms are a pain with having to use a code each time.
Great walkable location.“

“Weenie week review! I was stoked for this dog, it had crispy cheese and it was bacon wrapped and tbh I was kinda disappointed. Seeing other reviews about food being overcooked, it could have just been an off night. The unfortunate thing about specials like weenie week is that it shan't happen again. The service was awesome and the vibe there was so fun! I'd love to go back and hang out there, trying some more of the food that papas frita has to offer!“

“We just happened a pond McMenamin‘s blue moon TAVERN and Grille. We have spent the few hours at the Rose Garden and just needed lunch. We sat by a open window. We were waiting on quickly. We ordered lovely special, including a salad a soup and a half a sandwich it was delightful. One of the soups we ordered was a black bean and corn tortilla soup with superb the turkey sandwich and the salad were also very delicious.
While we were waiting for our food, it was Grateful Dead music playing had a nice vibe in good atmosphere. We go back again.“

“We had the absolute BEST service from Mike. He was so accommodating to me and my grandmother on our girls’ day out. We both agreed it was some of the best service we’ve had at a restaurant in a long time. Plus, our food was amazing. Great turkey sandwich and delicious fish n chips.“

“We went here to watch the Netherlands/Japan World Cup game (6/14) and it ended up being fantastic! We initially tried going to Gol PDX but they were at capacity & sent us here. And good thing! The vibe was super chill and exactly what we were looking for! However, our wee bartender/server wasn’t informed that Gol was sending people here( which Gol should’ve given them a heads up) and although an onslaught occurred, she absolutely crushed it, single-handedly! The bar went from dead to slammed in a matter of 5 min and she did amazing! She continued to check in on us even when the place was slammed and she was so incredibly nice. I failed to ask her name, and regret it lol. Whoever she is, she absolutely deserves a raise!!!“

“Always interesting beer selections with only a few to choose. Keep it simple approach keeps the FOMO managable. On a sunny day this place is gold. They should honestly have 1-10 scale signs available to heckle the drivers that cant handle the intersection. Its hilarious how many people fail here.“

“It's a typical mcmenamins. They're all mostly decorated the same, have 90% the same menu and beer selection as all the other locations. Personally they're all just average in my opinion, I don't really understand the hype and obsession but to each their own. Their food is fine and their in house beers are fine as well for the price.“
