“The group I was with booked the second floor. There was another group there as well. Very loud and echos. Could not communicate with anyone more than 3' away.

Food and beer were good but the person taking orders stood at one end of the room. With a bigger crowd, it was difficult to get to him. Think they lost a lot of sales because folks sat with no food or drinks because he didn't visit the tables to take orders.“

“We live 3/4 across the country in Indiana but every time we come to town we always visit the Ale & Cider House. The lady who owns the place and always seems to take care of us and is always very friendly. As for the beers and ciders they are the best we’ve had. Loved the ciders before they filtered them but still taste just as good but without the “look”.😉 A true gem that you must try next time you are in the quaint little town of West Linn. I like when they provide a water tap where you can refill your water. There is outdoor seating as well. Some brought in a cute dog while we were eating, so assume it is dag friendly, but I would double check“

“My go-to spot for well crafted cider in southeastern Portland. They have a beautiful outdoor seating area as well as plenty of comfortable spots inside the taproom, too. Parking is never an issue, although newcomers may think their GPS has led them astray (Yes, really, it is at the back of an industrial park.) I would highly recommend the Scrumpy or Sun-Burned Santa ciders (the latter being seasonal for the summer, good chance). Their happy hour menu is a good value if you're seeking a quick bite and sip.“

“Right next door to the barber shop, I was thrilled to find a gluten-free vegan corn dog! It tasted so authentic that I actually wondered if they’d accidentally given me real meat. The slushies were delicious too. We did the flight and discovered some new ciders I’d never tried before!“

“The gluten free food here is some of the best I've ever had. You'd never guess it's gluten free. The fried chicken is crunchy, moist as you bite into it and flavorful. Even better are the fish and chips. If you have celiacs and want to eat food you've not had in years this is the place. The beers are gluten free and delicious.“

Beer is mid. I tried Fracture's Pale and west coast IPA: nothing to write home about, nothing to complain about. Very west coast flavor that neither pushes boundaries or offends.

“Great local taproom. They play great music on a double record player, and great live music on the weekends. The cider in particular is very good. The food is hot or miss, the pizza is great if a little pricey, the apps and sandwiches are getting better.

Wheelchair accessibility: Not easily accessed by wheelchair that I could see. At least one or 2 steps at every entrance.“

“Our first visit . . instantly charmed. We wanted to have a pre event drink or two before our corporate dinner up the street and are we ever glad we did. “I've been to over 15 Mcminamins and this was the only time I have had my order messed up. Of course they tried to make right but upon the second attempt my sanwich came still incorrect. My request was to remove one sauce and add a different sauce. The first time it came with original sauce. The second time it came without sauce at all. To add to that, its the only Mcminamins that we have been that has not come to asked to refill our drinks or if I would like a water with/after finishing my cocktail.“

“Excellent Coffee Tour. The gentleman that did the tour was extremely knowledgeable about all things coffee. It was easy to follow the things that he said and we were able to sample the Sumatra and Kenya blends. I Love That Mcmenamins makes the extra effort to make sure they are working with fair trade brands and no chemicals. Its so cool to learn about the ends and outs of roasting the beans and the formulas they have to follow. I had no idea all that went into making an awesome cup of coffee.“

“Tonight was my first night at the Bagdad Theater in Portland, OR. I went with a friend to see the movie Fight Club in 4k followed by a Q&A with the author of the book, Chuck Palahniuk. The historic venue is absolutely breathtaking, the movie and sound quality was fantastic, the staff and vibe where amazing, and meeting the author of one of my favorite stories was just the cherry on top of my experience. If you have never been to the Bagdad Theater in Portland Oregon, I really can't recommend it enough!! 10 stars 😀“

The Spanish Coffee is the best you will ever have and today our bartender was so friendly, so accommodating, so delightful it made our visit perfect. This place has a very European feel to it. “Only just discovered this location (new to the neighborhood), so only been a few times so far. Each time we've tried something new and have not been disappointed yet. The food has been made fresh and hot every time. Menu is small but has a good variety. Beers have been great. Service has been wonderful every time. Looking forward to becoming a regular.“

“Stopped in for a date night dinner to check out the atmosphere and seasonal menu. Big Grateful Dead fan so I was excited!! Walked in and they were playing Jerry over the speakers and the place is filled with Grateful Dead decor. We walked around and took it all in while waiting for our drinks to arrive. It is mostly handmade decor but there is a lot to look at.

Started with a Cider Flight and a Strawberry Lemonade. The Ciders were good, with the Blackberry was the best in my opinion. Strawberry Lemonade was weak and didn't taste like lemonade. I think that lemonade wa the only disappointing aspect to the meal.

Food came and we decided to split a Tuna Melt with Cajun Fries and Cheese Curds. The Tina Melt was toasted to perfection and delicious. Not too much sauce so it didn't drip a ton. Cajun Fries had a kick and paired expertly with the Peppercorn Ranch, which is maybe some of the best Ranch I've EVER had!! Cheese Curds were extra crunchy and delicious! Overall, the food did not disappoint and was just enough to fill us up!!

I will definitely be back to try more menu items 😋“

“It’s McMenamins but the interior is cooler. Everything is fine, but have never been to the place without being accosted by someone working. Almost funny what they pick up on, from being somewhat angry someone doesn’t know what RC cola is to beefing customers who don’t sit in the right spot in an empty house.

Better for dignified sit down dinners, but don’t be surprised if they aren’t happy with you being there. They have tater tots, so that’s cool.“

“On my quest to complete my McMenamins passport, I have visited many McMenamins locations. Somehow I forget how awesome this location is... It feels like I tucked away little hidden gem, much larger on the inside than it looks on the outside. Filled with light and plants, it's a spacious area that can accommodate any size of group. They are also one of the only McMenamins that has their epic club sandwich. Highly recommend.“

“We had the most incredible time on Friday. It was pouring and we sat at the bar and on their covered patio. The beer was incredible, cocktails out of this world, and the best cider. Andrew was our bartender and I tell you we’ve never had service that good. We also had the honor of meeting the brew master and it was so fun to learn about his masterpieces! Music was great. Personally they're all just average in my opinion, I don't really understand the hype and obsession but to each their own. “McMenamins Chapel Pub is such a gem! I ordered the Communications Breakdown sub with the Beyond Meat veggie patty and it was excellent. They make their own sauces and you can really taste the freshness—everything came together perfectly. The fries were crispy and flavorful, and the portion was generous for the price.

The ambiance is fantastic—relaxed, warm, and just very “McMenamins” in the best way. The staff was friendly, attentive, and seemed genuinely happy to be there. Overall, a great meal, great atmosphere, and great value. I’ll definitely be back!“
