“WOW! We drove out of our way to get your famous cinnamon rolls, and they were dry and stale. My wife had never tried one and I kept bragging how good they were. We bought three that day Feb. 28, 2025. Just lost a faithful customer who drives 30 minutes out of our way.”

“Nothing happens when I click on the photo, it won’t let me load a photo of my black slimy translucent lettuce! The chalet is our go to restaurant for breakfast and lunch however, today I had a salad. It looked great, until I started eating it and got black, slimy, lettuce, and even the iceberg lettuce was mostly soggy. Some of the iceberg lettuce was even translucent, looking as if it had been frozen at one time. I would be humiliated to serve a disgusting salad like this one and not offering to replace the salad or remove the cost from the bill.”

“Bier One Brewing in Newport is definitely going to be a regular stop for me in the future anytime I'm in Newport. They offer over a dozen craft beers either from their on brewery or locally brewed in the state. The small but well executed food menu offers several sandwich options such as the Cuban and baked Monte Cristo that are very satisfying. The interior features very fun seating option at the bar and tables through out and there are many games such as foosball, darts. Parking is also very easy at the public lot across the street. It's one block off the main 101 drag on the Front Side of downtown so if you didn't know this place was here you may miss it. It's worth seeking out.”

“Newport on a Tuesday night. We drove to five restaurants before finding Zach’s Bistro. Although He was sold out of almost everything, we were able to get the most amazing dinner ever! Even my five-year-old grandson loved the food. I had the fish cakes, with artichoke and dill. Oh my goodness! It was amazing. My daughter had perfectly cooked salmon dinner. Desert was an awesome chocolate, berry and browned marshmallow. I am so happy we stumbled on this fine dining restaurant on the edge of Nye Beach area in Newport Oregon!”

“This is the best Arctic Circle I've been to. Best fish sandwich I've ever had at any fast food joint. Maybe it was so good because we were at the coast lol. The friend I was with said being at the coast didn't matter because it was a fast food chain. All I know is the fish was light, flaky and tastes amazing. The french fries and cheese curds were also amazing. The only complaint I had was the guy in the Drive-Thru seemed slightly grouchy. Maybe he was just having an off day.”

The tow truck could only take 1 person with them and my niece and I had no ride, I was going to try to cab but David the coffee guy said he would give us a ride into town, good coffee, good people !! “It took about 10 minutes to walk from the Inn. I made a reservation for 5:30, and it wasn't too crowded, probably because it was raining in November, so I was able to enjoy my meal at a leisurely pace. All the appetizers look delicious♪”

“We were staying nearby and popped in for some breakfast. The person working the front was not very welcoming. She barely smiled or acknowledged us coming in the door. She was busy cleaning the counter and refilling some pastries. It was our first time there, and we thought we maybe missed "a way of doing something." Finally, my husband had to tell her that we were ready to order. We ordered two drip coffees, a bagel sandwich, and a burrito. It took a little longer than normal to get our food. This did give us plenty of time to observe the same girl do the same thing to person after person. It was not a friendly environment to walk into. After waiting almost 20+ minutes we took our food back to our hotel. There wasn't much room to sit in this place or even wait for our order. However, the food was absolutely delicious. And I would go as far as to say it was worth the wait. Just don't expect to make a quick stop if you are ordering any type of food. However, again, I will say it is worth the wait to get one of their food items!”

“Of note, this Mo's does not do fried food and doesn't have the standard Mo's dishes. That said if you want more seafood options and a more seasonal menu, this is the place to go. Watching people unloading and cleaning fish and oysters just outside the window is definitely a plus

I am no stranger to craft breweries having visited so many, but also having brewed many myself. This brew pub has a variety of beers to choose from, but I was disappointed to hear that over a third of their menu was unavailable. Their cocktail menu is also nothing short of intriguing.

I was pleasantly surprised by the food options. Newport is a seafood town, and you really should try some local fresh catches, but in addition to seafood Anchor offers all sorts of other cuisines for both starters and entrees.

The ambiance is almost that of a brewery mixed with a sports bar. They do close relatively early, but it was still a great experience, and the server was incredibly hospitable and helpful.”
