“Love this place! Jen and the whole crew are so friendly, welcoming and just overall kind people. The food was fantastic, from the burgers to salads to the pretzel and pizza and chicken tenders on the kids menu, everything was fresh, homemade and delicious. We tried the beer sampler- it did not disappoint- huge variety, loved the hazy. Even the cab was amazing, which is not usually the case when you visit a brewery. We will def be back - this place ROCKS!!!“

“We got insane sandwiches at Dos Hermanos next-door and they said we were allowed to eat in this tap room. The guy said we didn’t have to buy anything but we did because it was such a come up. The space is cool and beautiful and the bartender and staff made us feel very welcome.You self bus and you can get food from the surrounding cart pods.“

Hubby had the Kolsch. Good stuff. Then a pale ale.
Multiple food vendors. Thai, Venezuelan, Mexican, Indian, Cuban. Had the chicken saag and tacos. Fresh and tasty.“

“The McMenamins is basically the same as all the others I've been in. But the theater rocks! It's a very old theater with a very old fashioned style, but it's been well kept up and I enjoy going there just for that.

Parking: It's a very busy area, so you may have to park a few small blocks away.

It was easy to follow the things that he said and we were able to sample the Sumatra and Kenya blends. I Love That Mcmenamins makes the extra effort to make sure they are working with fair trade brands and no chemicals. Its so cool to learn about the ends and outs of roasting the beans and the formulas they have to follow. I had no idea all that went into making an awesome cup of coffee.“

“We wanted to find something fun and simple for our anniversary dinner and McMenamins was it. We walked in and it was quiet, fire going. It was perfect.
Their seasonal cocktails were amazing.
And the food tasted PERFECT.
I asked for an extra coaster just to have as a little keepsake for our anniversary date and our server gave us 3!

“Only just discovered this location (new to the neighborhood), so only been a few times so far. Each time we've tried something new and have not been disappointed yet. The food has been made fresh and hot every time. Menu is small but has a good variety. Beers have been great. Service has been wonderful every time. Looking forward to becoming a regular.“

The service was friendly and she and the kitchen did a great job considering it seemed there was a large group ahead of us. The cheese smash burger was, well, very cheesy, but super delicious. I broke up the richness a bit by putting on some lettuce and pickled onion from the salad on it. The French fries were shoestring-style and so crispy and crunchy. We liked the seasoning salt on them as well. We also got Mac and cheese—divine! And the poppers, which were eaten so quickly I didn’t get to try any so they must have also been great. Plenty of seating inside with AC or outside with a beautiful patio with plenty of shade and space for four-leggers.“

“I know what you're thinking: There are like 10 McMenamin locations in Portland. And you're right. But each one is really cool and there is a reason they're the only brewer that's growing rather than disappearing like so many taprooms in Portland. This is a really cool place with pool tables and tabletop shuffleboard. And they've renovated so many cool buildings: theaters, hotels, taverns, etc that it's worth visitinf at least a couple.“

“We had the most incredible time on Friday. It was pouring and we sat at the bar and on their covered patio. The beer was incredible, cocktails out of this world, and the best cider. Andrew was our bartender and I tell you we’ve never had service that good. We also had the honor of meeting the brew master and it was so fun to learn about his masterpieces! Music was great. That was our first time there, it’s clear there is quite a following with regulars. Plenty of space! We felt welcomed. Highly recommended from us!“

“This business was originally called the Wilson-Chambers Mortuary. It was built in 1932 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2007. This is a cool looking historical building and a must see. The bartender was very nice and told me some of the history of the building. Be sure to check out the food.“

“Stopped in to try the burgers on a Monday night. The vegan burger choice tasted good, although a bit overpriced with the up charge of $2 for the single vegan patty substitute, then minus the cheese and sauce, when the meat burgers are double patty at $17 with the works. Then add the $2.50 for fries. So I felt a little bit gouged for being a vegan. Also they were out of diet coke. They do have a full bar despite the google listing only beer & wine. Vibe was relaxing on this Monday night, server was pleasant but only one server on duty and then the payment system crashed so not server's fault that things moved a bit slow. I'll try this place again some day to see if things improve.“

“I stopped with my wife and a friend after the “No Kings” demonstration. The place was packed. Our order was delayed and we had to send back an order that wasn’t ours. We finally got our order after a long wait. When I complained, the manager comped one of our sandwiches and gave me a gift card for my next visit. I feel that this situation was handled very well and I look forward to returning.“

“Great beer and service. Unique tap room of definitely one of the very top breweries in Portland. Three beer engines with traditional British style ales and a side pull tap serving up delicious Czech and German lagers. Regular taps usually have several saisons, gruit or fruited ales to choose from. Most recently enjoyed an amazing kölsch with fresh Lorien hops from Goschie Farms.“

“The poutine was just OK. They need to add pocked 9 ions and pickled jalapenos as standard and allow you to take them off if you don't like them. Also, the best poutine I have had has braised beef or pulled pork or some sort of meat to balance all the flavors.

The beer was very good. I tried their reserve stuff and their bourbon barrel aged beer and they were pretty good - all of them.“
