“We recently came here for lunch as it was a new place for the both of us. I remember it being completely different before. The space is nice and feels inviting. There is a small shop in the front for you to buy little snacks. I had the Italian sandwich, and my friend had the chicken pot pie. We also got some fries to share. The sandwich was nice and simple. I think the Calabrian chile aoli gave it that extra flavor. The fries were pretty good, and I would recommend ordering it.“

“I heard how amazing the food and overall experience was at Cabezon from a foodie friend so I made reservations for 6 a couple weeks before we got to Portland for our visit to the University of Portland. The time came and we arrived to a really cool place, neat decor, comfortable and homey feeling. We were greeted by a very nice woman who gave us a place to sit and delivered our drink order very quickly while we waited for our table. Table was ready quick, our waiter was awesome and we quickly had apps on our table. I am a commercial fisherman from San Diego, so my seafood standards are very high. The mussels were great, shrimp bisque were excellent, the shrimp app was ridiculously well paired. The cheddar mac and cheese was rich and tender. 5 of us ordered the chopino and 1 ordered the lamb sirloin. They were both AMAZING. The chopino just kept giving, the juice was so good we got more bread to soak it up. We all agreed we will go to this place every single time we visit our kids up in Portland. The entire experience was 5 stars from start to finish. I will add the prices are very reasonable for the quality they are serving. The dessert menu sounded great but we all ate too much so that will be next trip.“

“Love it! Wish I lived in Portland, so I could dine her more. Delicious food and incredible service. My son and I stopped in tonight at 8:40. Knowing they close at 9, I asked if they were still seating. The hostess cheerfully said, "yes!" We were promptly guided to a table, and our waiter Finn greeted us right away. He was great! I followed his recommendation for the Dover Sole parmesan, and it was so good I almost cried. My son loved his chicken bites and applesauce. We got tasty desserts to go. Also, I had the Sunset Sparkle non-alcoholic drink, and I hope I can somehow re-create it at home. So fun. yum!! Also, our bill was $36. What!? Such a good value.“

“Everything was wonderful with the drinks, food and service. Only thing that was a bit of a disappointment with the food was that there were no sides with the burger. Also every time the front door opened all of us in the first few tables froze and we all wish the barrier would have been longer to block that so we could all enjoy our dinner and drinks more. Overall we loved it there and the staff was wonderful.“

“We've often traveled to France and enjoy French cuisine. During the pandemic, several good French restaurants closed which left a gap in our dining experience. St. Jack has, by far, exceeded our expectations for dining “French” in Portland. The autumn menu was just what we hoped for! Roasted bone marrow was tasty and satisfying; foie gras was delicious, and the ris du veau was well prepared with no connective tissue remaining. It was, by far, the best I've eaten. The wine selection has a good variety. We enjoyed a Chateau Neuf which was well balanced and a perfect match for the food choices. Service was prompt and congenial. I heartily recommend this restaurant for and Francophile who enjoys good food and wine.“

“First visit today. Throwback pricing, truly. I don't know how it works but they are charging what I would have expected to pay ten years ago. It was a great value. No, it isn't pretty outside. That does not matter. I can't believe somebody left a bad review based on that, while never having eaten here. It was plenty comfortable and the service was fast and friendly enough. “I’ve been going to Powell’s Seafood for 35 years and it’s our family “go to” place. I married into a Chinese family and my in-laws knew the owner and wait staff. However it changed owners a few years ago, so just not the same. Still good, but prices went up substantially and just doesn’t have the pull it once did.“
