“Excellent service. Can't speak enough of the lady who helped us. She sure was fun.Held a Bday gathering.Huge plate sizes.A nice little water area near by. Very close walking distance.Only complaint-no decaf, creamer of milk.Parking: Not much parking.“
“Amazing food! Fresh, bright, clean, distinctive flavors. Had to try the Wasabi cream prawns. Really good, but rich, so dishes with good cut (acid, heat, picancy) to go back and forth with is recommended. Had exactly that with the beef and onion dish, which had assertive levels of white onion and/or ginger in some bites, and a nice moderate level of garlic and green onion. Also had the eggplant, which was quite nicely spicy, perfectly cooked, exactly what I was craving. This is far above the typical local Chinese restaurant, and for the same price. The only thing typical was the tea. It was fine, but I'd suggest they get better. Maybe trial a higher priced premium option. I'd pay more for tea that matches the level of their food.“
“OMG, this place was amazing. We went at lunchtime on Presidents Day, so I thought it was a little odd that the lunch specials were not available. That was okay, because the food was so fantastic. Wife had the basil chicken which was one of the best Chinese dishes ever. I had the Lamb with Green Onion, which was good, but I'd try something else next time. I rarely see Lamb on a Chinese menu, so I had to try it. We split some green the green tea. The service was fast and friendly, as were some patrons. A couple guys walked by and asked about the b=Basil Chicken, so we told them it was a must! Huge open space that is unexpected given the outside of the historic Louis Building, built in 1885. We are going back!!“
“One of my top 5 favorite place to eat in PDX. The sesame noodles are bright, fresh, and chewy. Served chilled and perfect for summer time. The pork is tender and perfectly seasoned.I have a difficult time finding food that's not too spicy (seems a current PDX trend). They balance it perfectly. I'd more or less given up on enjoying that mouth numbing delightfulness of the Sichuan peppercorn without being blasted with the heat of a million chilies. But they've found the sweet spot. Prices on par with other places in the area. Plus you can enjoy the food in their neighboring establishment, Holy Ghost.I highly recommend paring any noodle dish with the 5min Gin Fizz!“
“Literally can't not tell you how amazing this place is. Not only are they the KINDEST humans, but the food was beyond incredible. I was craving shrimp, and it was not on the regular menu since it's a random special. Surprisingly, he said he had some and would make it for me. We had the lollipop garlic noodles which were DELICIOUS, tofu, the fried chicken, and shrimp garlic noodles. They were so accommodating. We will be back 1 million percent.“
“Amazing food and so many vegan options. We got chow mein, fried rice, garlic broccoli, sweet and sour tofu, egg rolls, and dumplings and everything was delicious. Very good portion sizes, too! We will have leftovers for a while now, yay. Definitely will be back!“
“The food was delicious! I never say that about restaurants, but I want everyone to know about Ruk Diew Cafe! the food was fresh ND so good. the coconut prawns were tender and flavorful, the fried tofu was crispy and the sauce yummy. I think I had green mango in a lovely sauce with red peppers. I am a happy diner.“
“If you’re done with the unfriendly customer service that Portland is known for, then go to Taiji Teahouse to have your faith in humanity, and the service industry, restored. Seated in Portland’s Chinatown in the old Red Robe Teahouse location, you’ll find a charming place that serves light meals and the best tea in Downtown. Eric may even be able to spare a moment to sharpen the Chess-oriented part of your mind.“
“Stretch the Noodle is located in the Midtown Beer Garden, which is a cute little oasis close in on the west side. I ordered the Chao Mian with tofu extra spicy. It is so yummy and the portion is extremely generous. Can’t wait to revisit and take people here!!! (the drink in the picture is from the bar cart located in the center of the garden)“
“Solid vegetarian options. Different items for specials than I e had anywhere else and they were very good. Really enjoyed the curry and the jalepenos. Threw a side of pan fried noodles with the jalepenos and it was a delight.Vegetarian options: Good options that are tasty!“
“I was surprised on this one. Just a little place for some Dimsum with flair . The menu is very limited. Service is also limited. You order on the board and you also pay there. Then they bring the food to your table. The use of modernism and minimalistic yet impersonal make this place unique. With very limited selections, the food was actually good. My favorites are Sesame noodles and meat folders.“
“Super stoked to have a solid Chinese takeout style spot so close to me. The lunch special was a great price and the portions were perfect. The food was quality. I’m a sucker for crispy beef and was super pleased with my order.Crab puffs was killer as well“
“I highly recommend the Xiao Long Bao; the rich soup and generous filling make it almost perfect. The dry-fried green beans have a rich flavor, and the hot and sour soup is delicious too. Their egg drop soup is a favorite among kids. We also ordered the assorted fried noodles, which had plenty of ingredients and a large portion size. However, some of the pan-fried dumplings(紅油抄手) were overcooked and the skin was too soft. The dry pot series is also highly recommended; we tried the dry pot intestine. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the food here. However, the service is just okay and could be better."“
“Nom nom nom. Their seasonal salad is ALWAYS DELICIOUS. Throw some fried chicken or avocado on there? Gold. Steam buns are to die for. Try them all. But my faves are the miso mushroom and the fried chicken. Ramen is great, rice bowls are great. You really can’t go wrong. Atmosphere is fine but I usually get it to go. Cocktails are okay.“
“Beijing House offers a delightful dining experience with its authentic flavors, affordable prices, and generous portions. The food is packed with traditional Chinese tastes, delivering an authentic culinary journey for patrons. With reasonable pricing, it ensures that enjoying delicious meals doesn't break the bank. Additionally, the ample portion sizes cater to hearty appetites, leaving diners fully satisfied.Overall, Beijing House stands out as a great spot to indulge in delicious Chinese cuisine without compromising on taste, value, or atmosphere.“
“Went for lunch and had a seafood combo for two. It was heaven! Also had their seasonal teacup dumplings which, should not be seasonal and a staple but something to look forward to! So much food. Great taste! Fun presentation and experience. Service was wonderful, attentive, and friendly. Can't wait to go back and try more!“
“We were there twice recently, one on March 2 and the other March 22. The first time was quite satisfying. Even though this restaurant was a relatively new addition to the mall, the food and service were on par with other locations such as Seattle, Bellevue and La Jolla. However, our later visit, with a 2x larger table than the first visit, seemed to show a service issue. The staff placed the ordered dishes wherever they wanted, which, at other DTF, they would ask where to place the dish on the table by asking the customers first. This caused unnecessary dish-passing immediately after an order was delivered. There was ample walking space surrounding our table, i.e., we were not in the side booth or window/corner tables. Food was consistently fantastic as high standard held by DTF.Kid-friendliness: Nice kid set“
“Wow ! Portland is really stepping up their game when it comes to Chinese food!!! I had never tried it, but these traditional Chinese baozi were so juicy, spiced to perfection, delicious, and full of meat and the Jia Zhang mian were just like they were in Beijing. I ordered delivery and don't know if they have dine in. I will go back again soon! They also have frozen baozi and jiazi to boil or steam at home! Can't wait to order through their menu!“
“I want to shout from the rooftops how AMAZING their food is!! From the very first bite I knew I had found a new favorite restaurant. Their green pepper fish soup with rice noodles is out of this world. I give it 6 out of 5 stars. All the flavors were balanced 100% perfectly, and that’s saying a lot because I’m a veteran foodie with a picky palate who is quite discriminating about flavors. The chef here is a flavor ninja. Also, rarely do I rave about a restaurant enough to leave a review, that’s how impressed I am.By the way, I highly recommend getting the “crispy fried milk.” I ate an entire serving of it in one sitting yesterday, and I could have eaten two more, it was that delicious. It comes with a sweet, coconutty sauce that reminds me of the sweet yet slightly savory sauce used in sticky rice with mango that you find at Thai restaurants.Eat here, you won’t be disappointed!“
“I was walking toward the river and I found this place . It's a cute small street food spot and the owner is so friendly. The service doesn't take long but it works like this : you order , he makes your food , you pay and then it's the next person turn . I ordered chicken yakisoba noodle. Good portion . Good price , taste good . But it was greasy and very salty. That's the reason I gave 4 stars . I am not living in Portland. Otherwise I would go there again .“
“My family has been coming here for decades. The owners know us, our names, our orders, and every single time the food is perfect. All throughout my life ill have other chinese food and always think, “It’s good, but its no Wu’s” and that is a common saying among friends and family who know how delicious and special this restaurant is. I love introducing new people to this place because their reaction is always the same; “I’ve never had chinese food that tastes like this”. I’m not sure what magic they use, but it’s special. If you are in the area and are looking for a chinese restaurant to try, look no further.“
“Eager to celebrate the Chinese New Year, my friend and I were craving Chinese food and decided to give Warsugai a try. I'm glad we did! The restaurant is lovely with mint tiles surrounding the bar, a waving kitty on the wall, and plants around the perimeter. The door was opened for us as we entered, and we were seated quickly. Since we wanted to be adventurous and try multiple items on the menu, my friend and I decided to order the Pu Pu Platter. Not really a platter though, our food came out individually and took up the majority of our table. Ours came with the Silken Ota Tofu, Noble House Pork Potstickers, Dungeness Crab Long Rangoon, BBQ Pork Coppa, Sizzling Black Pepper Beef Short Ribs, Taishan Cauliflower, and Warsugai. Everything was flavorful and delicious, so it was hard to pick favorite items. Although I'm not usually a fan of tofu, I enjoyed the differing textures of the soft tofu and crispy potato and scallions. The crab rangoon was amazing! No imitation crab here...Fresh crab rolled up in a spring roll fashion and served with a chili sauce. Yum! We also enjoyed the bbq pork coppa which came with a dollop of mustard which complimented the pork nicely. Finally, the Warsugai itself was delicious. Lightly fried chicken which was not overly heavy or greasy topped with almond gravy and almond slivers on a bed of shredded lettuce. So good! Your server will check you out at your table which is convenient, but also a little awkward since he or she will be in front of you when the machine prompts for a tip and a rating of your meal and service. This was not a deterrent since everything was wonderful. Hoping they will add a dessert item or two to the menu someday. We loved our experience at Warsugai and look forward to elevated Chinese food again soon!“
“Excellent. Sweet and sour chicken, chow mien, general tso chicken. One of the best I’ve ever had at a neighborhood Chinese restaurant. We ordered delivery and it came hot and packaged well. I’ve had Chinese in Seattle, Portland, and Paris. This one ranks highest for me.Nice work! Glad you’re in the hood!“
“My favorite kung pao chicken meal in all of Portland. Egg Flour soup is also delicious! You get a TON of food too! Enough for multiple meals. The couple who works this food truck are really nice and kind. Very hard working too! Sometimes it takes awhile but it's all fresh to order. They also have lunch specials that are a fantastic option for lunchtime! I've been a few times and taken friends here when in town.“
“Never disappoints! Love their napa cold slaw salad that comes with the buns, always crunchy and yummy. Miso pork belly bun is so freakin good I keep coming back for MORE! The bun itself is so fluffy and most likely the best steamed bun you can find in town!“
“Delicious food, fast and attentive service! I ordered the dry-fried pork Intestine and it was melt in your mouth good! Lovely and crisp, fatty and buttery! Some of the best takeout I've had in a long time! The peppercorn flavor was a bit subdued but not in a bad way, it let the intestine meat speak for itself! The only tip I'd give is that I wish the venue played music or had more decorations on the walls, it was very bare bones and I felt like I was eating in an storage warehouse, that being said there is nothing to complain about when it comes to the food and the service! Lovely people serving up tasty traditionalmeals!“
“I ordered large hot and sour soup and it's the best I have ever had. It's perfect. Filled with meat and goodness. It has more ingredients than I've had in hot and sour soup before. The hot and sour soup I've had from other restaurants have had more water than ingredients. It has the perfect amount of spicy for a price of $7, that's wonderful. It's a beautiful restaurant inside and out. I love the lighting and decorations. It's a very peaceful environment. Happy year of the Dragon. (:Every moment is a golden one for him who has the vision to recognize it as such. ?Parking: They have a one way parking lot/loop. It was busy which is a good sign but there was a spot for me.“
“Greetings,Was hungry after work and the Veggie Lo Mein looked good and wasn't too spendy. It was delicious and flavorful with lots of veggies. Would definitely get again.Have also tried a bubble tea that was good as well, and I like I could choose the milk and it includes 2 add ins.Customer service is excellent ?. Great job all around: thank you!“
“I grew up going here and had to go back on a recent trip home, it was such a pleasant surprise to see the bright and airy remodel, it looks so good! I've always been a fan of their food, the perfect crispy and sweet deep fried goodness you can't help but love. They've also added some new things to the menu too! We got the family style dinner special and it was even better than I remembered.Vegetarian options: The salt and pepper tofu is AMAZING“
“The eggplant melted in my mouth. I recommend the scallops, oysters, scallions, chicken hearts and cauliflower. I will have to go back to try it all. The flavors were fantastic! Friends live in the neighborhood and they say they have been going once a week.“
“Amazing food truck behind the PSU library that produces great Chinese food, large portions, and cheap prices. The owner, Susan, is there everyday working hard and yet she maintains an incredible friendliness and even seems to remember many customers by name“
“Man on man what can I say is sushi and Chinese food is your idea of good food you got to try this place you will not be disappointedVegetarian options: They go out of your way for a special requests and they do it right they strive to put out good food and never had a bad plate of food yet“
“I have eaten here for years. Great reasonably priced food. The food is like old school Chinese Food. The egg fu Yung is made with the vegetables and meat incorporated into the patties. They are light and flavorful. The sweet and sour chicken is perfect. They only do takeout.“
“I'm vegan and their tofu with vegetables over rice noodles was very good. Hot and fast. Good service and clean restaurant. Recommend. They should be busier on a Saturday night but I read a lot of people order to go from them.Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie dishes and tofu dishes and bean curd soupsDietary restrictions: Gluten free friendly“
“Best Chinese food around! Service is great. Food is amazing! Amazing little hole in the wall kinda place. Not over priced. My kids are super picky and they loved their egg flower soup and BBQ pork. Can't wait to plan our next family date night there!“
“I haven't had hotpot this good since I left New York. The broth was delicious and flavorful, all of the food was fresh and tasty. It had a really fun, upbeat atmosphere and was well worth the trip out to Beaverton. Very excited to go back again!“
“We've gone in to order and have also called ahead, but have only gotten our food to go. The staff has been pleasant and they make the orders pretty quickly. The food is delicious. The sesame beef is FANTASTIC. I highly recommend. It's labeled as spicy, I am a wuss when it comes to anything spicy. Its more of a garlicky spicy. My husband pointed out it the label and I was confused because I didn't find it spicy at all. He got the Kung Pao, he really liked it. The BBQ pork chow mein was delicious. The BBQ pork itself was a little dry but good with some sauce. Over all, I absolutely recommend this adorable little place.“
“Just got my food, everything was so delicious! Beyond my expectations they went above and beyond. I greatly appreciate this establishment and the staff. I will definitely be returning here as a customer. I highly recommend this place, no disappointment here! Thank you again golden horse. ❤️?“
“I didn't order Jjajang, but the regular Jjajang noodles were dry and so dry that it was difficult to even mix the seasoning, and by the time I got there, the noodles had turned into rice cakes... I've never been there, but I have to say that I experienced the desert firsthand. I desperately wanted to pour at least some hot water. Sweet and sour pork was so delicious. The server was also very friendly. Thank you.“
“This place has great food and oh so good service. Lunch special is 8.95 and includes soup spring roll and rice. Kung pao chicken is delicious. Might want to stay away from the Sesame beef. Too much coating for my taste. Best Chinese food since we moved back here 8 yrs. ago. You should try it.“
“Purchased by new owners on Aug. 1, 2022. New owners have 15 years experience each at Linn's China Jade in Beaverton, OR. They worked at Stir Crazy for two months before all the legal ownership details were completed so they know all the recipes for both Stir Crazy and China Jade. Talk to your waitress and ask for either version that you prefer or any level of "spiciness" that you like. They will accommodate your request. This web site has not yet been updated to the new menus, yet. Our experience has been top notch and we would recommend to everyone who likes Chinese, Korean, or Asian cuisines.“
“Jong Can's honey garlic chicken wings and house fried rice are delicious! The wings were perfectly glazed, offering a delightful balance of sweetness and garlic zest. Not only was the food absolutely delicious, but the service provided was top-notch. The staff went above and beyond, making the dining experience exceptional. I wholeheartedly recommend Jong Can to anyone seeking fantastic food and excellent service!“
“Visited on a weekday for a quick bite hoping for potstickers and boba but they were out of potstickers :( luckily we tried the other food and discovered how delicious the chicken and tofu were! The cheese sticks were alright. Boba was good and the store is cute. The person serving us was very welcoming and nice. I’ll definitely be back to try the potstickers someday!“
“Adding context - today, I screwed up and forgot to ask for no peppers on a dish. I'm 2/3s of way home and realize I messed up. Not only did Bruce remake the dish for me when I returned, but he didn't charge me for the remake - and I was ready to do so, b/c it was my mistake. That is the type of service you can expect - on top of the excellent food!“
“Most Consistent in Wilsonville and good flavor. Good spicy levels. More on the authentic side than the "Tourist" side for flavoring and seasoning.I typically get the Curry Noodles Singapore Style.I believe it's rating is lower than it should be for food taste. I imagine people might have a hard time understanding then or them understanding you for when you order on the phone. Which might be a cause for a lower rating. I never dined in here before though.Wish they opened a little earlier.“
“WOW- this place is 10/19. The only bad part is I wish we found this place earlier. The pad Thai was absolutely incredible. Pot stickers are a must. Peanut sauce goes well on just about anything and can make a bad meal (which doesn’t exist here) good. The service made me feel like I was at a ritz Carlton- absolutely top notch.Great for a date, a family/friends outing, or if you want to go alone. We are going to take our friends/family here so we have excuses to go over and over again like Nelly and Tim McGraw.#SupportLocal ✌?Dietary restrictions: Gluten free/vegan symbols on the menu“
“Been here a few times now, and every time it's a wonderful experience, the food is great and the staff is fun and friendly. Garcia is awesome and gave us some great recommendations. I recommend ordering in the restaurant, there are daily specials, better customizable options, and no 3rd party fees (I'm looking at you grubhub).Dietary restrictions: The Pad Thai is gluten free (could have cross contamination, but my celiac roommate hasn't had any issues with it)“
“Szechuan Chef moved out of their main stream building and is now Word of Mouth dining- so you will get first rate service without the push of the crowds! Favorite dish: Cold Mixed Beef with hot sauce. This is the best in town- beef sliced thin- no rubbery thick pieces you find at other restaurants. They use the szechuan pepper liberally in this dish, and in their other menu items- your tongue will thank you! I am always disappointed with the lack of szechuan pepper at other places I've tried. The soup dumpling sauce is amazing! Rich and flavorful- not the watered down soy sauce other places do. Try the Hometown lamb pot for an explosion of flavor with natural bamboo shoots. The authentic menu items here bring out the people looking for delicious Szechuan food, and you are greeted with friendly staff who will recommend dishes if you ask their advice!“
“Nice old lady in the cart and there's a lot of options on their menu. I tried ordering the oyster on there, but they were out must be one of the more popular items. We ended up getting the honey walnut shrimp in the Taiwanese fried chicken. The only one that shrimp is really good with a lot of sauce which I really appreciated. The shrimp pieces itself was covered in quite a bit better, but surprisingly, I didn't bother me. It was actually really good the better of a soft inside and crunchy on the outside with the shrimp. The Taiwanese fried chicken is absolutely delicious. Season so well, and had a lot of flavor per bite. They were pretty thin slices, but the chicken was still pretty juicy.Highly recommend this food cart there sesame balls are also really good and they give you six per order.“
“The owners are very hospitable and kind. The food always tastes fresh and delicious. The serving amount is insane, two young kids can share a plate of chicken teriyaki.I went tonight with my two kids and parents, sat in front of the TV on the wall. As we are sitting down, the owner comes by and without a word, puts on cartoons for the kids to watch while we wait on the food (which came fairly quickly). The service was top notch, especially when the owner knew we were about finished and he dropped off to go containers and lollipops for the kids. It was a hit. Also, after leaving, more people flooded the restaurant. It was near capacity. This place does not disappoint.“
