“My wife and I order Ying Bun several times a month. We just love it everything is fresh and taste like authentic Chinese food. We have a standing order, that we order every time.
We start with:
1) two large wonton soups that has lots of big large beautiful wontons with fresh snow peas, carrots, celery, sliced chicken, barbecue pork and large shrimp too!
2) Number 5 Dinner that comes with Fried Shrimp, Pork fried rice, Sweet and Sour chicken, Subgum chicken chow mein
3) large order of crab puffs
4) large order of fried shrimp
This is our order, we love this meal. We get at least 3 meals out of our order. Always hot and fresh. We don't even mind the 20-minute wait time to make it. Just awesome to have something wonderful local because we like to go home put our pajamas on watch TV and eat all this food.“

The food was fresh, not the usual frozen-tasting stuff you find everywhere else. Every dish had quality you could actually taste. “Decent food. I felt like I had to add soy sauce to the garlic fried rice in order to give it flavor. It was heavy with garlic but had little flavor to it. The chicken had a great taste. We got the sesame chicken and the flavor was great. But the texture was hard for me at times. The sauce was very sludge/slime textured, and the chicken had a fatty texture to it at times. Seemed like it could have been fried longer. But the service was good, friendly and quick. The atmosphere was alright, there wasn't much to the place. Didn't see much in the way of decor. But overall id give the restaurant about a 3.8 out of 5.“

“got there around 1pm on a Sunday, it took about 10 minutes for us to get a table- pretty cozy restaurant and fairly busy. Got our dishes within 5-10 minutes of ordering. The only downside is our A1 dish did not come with bokchoy and it took a minute for us to flag down a lady and took another 5 minutes for them to bring out some chopped bokchoy in a small bowl. The fish also wasn’t really minced but more like big chunks of cod…but we did enjoy the liver dishes, the sauce that came with 19 was very good and paired well with the dish. The youtiaos were also pretty good and tasted freshly made. As for the fresh soy milk, I perferred the cold over the hot and it tasted good but the soy flavor wasnt as strong as other places that I tried before. If I were to go back I’d for sure would like to try more of their liver dishes.“

“Master Kong absolutely went above and beyond. Not only was the food incredible — full of rich flavor and clearly made with love — but the kindness of the staff completely blew me away.

I accidentally placed my order for pickup at their other location, and instead of canceling or making it complicated, they personally delivered my meal to me. That kind of thoughtfulness is so rare, and it meant so much.

Everything from the food to the people just radiates warmth and care. You can tell this place is run by people who genuinely love what they do. Master Kong will always be a part of my Portland travel tradition from now on. ❤️“

“Best chow fun in town. Can't get fresher noodles anywhere because they supply most of the Chinese restaurants and stores in town with their noodles. Their fried rice is really good, too. They also make their own tofu, both fresh and fried. Their rice noodle rolls are good, too. just have to get their early in the day because they sell out fast. The owners are some of the nicest people and work extremely hard. Love giving them my business.“

“So happy to find reasonable pricing for really good dumplings! This was our first visit; the server was kind, made recommendations, and answered questions well. We ordered an assortment of items, and everything was good, some were amazing. My husband fell in love with the cucumber salad, and brothy bun. The only drawback was noise level; we were in mid day, 3:30ish, and were surprised how the voices carried in the room. Not only did it make the room loud, I felt a little self conscious. “Alrighty, so today I tried out Jin Jin for the first time ever today after getting recommended them by my boss. From what I’ve heard they have amazing fried rice and food so I had to get some. I placed 2 separate takeout orders for their spam fried rice(my new favorite) and their Lapchong Chinese sausage fried rice. They packaged both of them beautifully in reusable Tupperware containers and the final garnish and look of my food was amazing. Taste wise, it was literally the best fried rice I’ve ever had and trust me I’ve eaten a lot of fried rice everywhere through the years, it wasn’t too oily and the taste of it was absolutely perfect! I could tell it was authentically cooked in a wok and seasoned by the hands of a chef who’s been cooking for a very long time and knows what they’re doing. They’re kind and very nice people who are really friendly and took care of my order and payment fast and smoothly.

The store interior is so welcoming and family friendly lookin; it’s just a classic small and aesthetically beautiful restaurant. I highly highly recommend this place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner for everyone to experience. 10/10 I will definitely be back for more :)“

“The food seems more authentic than most. Although most dishes are spicy, their regular level is slice is very tolerable. Nice use of Sichuan peppercorns--everything warms the mouth without setting it on fire. I've had their mapo tofu, kung pao chicken, and beef with green onions. All very good. “This is our favorite go to authentic Chinese restaurant in Portland. The food is fresh, hot, and so delicious. The owner is very nice and knows us by name. It's nice to find a place in Portland where my family can order in their native tongue (Cantonese) and have a full conversation.
Our favorite dishes that we pretty much always get is the salt and pepper fish, sweet and sour pork, and the Happy Family. We've tried many other dishes as well and they were all very good.“

They love the place and when we were there, the only people dining were also asian (if you know about good asian food, seeing asians in the restaurant means it's GOOD). portions were huge, made promptly. Everything was delicious, minimally salty, NOT sugary. They gave us complimentary seaweed soup, delicious. Location is clean, well kept. We are definitely going back!“

“I don't get to come here often at all, but wish I could! The owner is so sweet and she remembers me every time. Their cart is at the back of the lot, but it is the best! Very delicious food, and big portions! We always order a little extra and we have a second meal the next day. I personally love the fried rice, both pork and chicken, mushroom chicken meal, the big steamed gyoza, and spring rolls. My family loves the orange chicken, egg flower soup, and much more. “We use to go to the Hi Hat in Tigard for our Chinese food. But they closed years ago. So we have been going to the place in downtown Tigard. And they are just OK. Nothing special. So tonight we tired Kuang's Kitchen. And WOW. The BBQed pork was very moist, the String Bean Pork was flavorful with the right ratio of beans to pork. 10-ingredient fried rice had everything listed and very good. This will now be our go to place for good Chinese food.“

“I’ve been going to Powell’s Seafood for 35 years and it’s our family “go to” place. I married into a Chinese family and my in-laws knew the owner and wait staff. However it changed owners a few years ago, so just not the same. Still good, but prices went up substantially and just doesn’t have the pull it once did.“

“My first visit to the restaurant was with my dad he wanted to try the dim sum. The offerings was limited to what he was expecting and he was not that thrilled with what we did get. I liked the things that we ordered, a Chinese friend took me back to this place and did the ordering for me. We went with a spicy hot pot and Grilled marinated short ribs. Both were really good, so that new experience changed my rating for this place. Which is why I have raised my stars.“

The Dan Dan noodles weren’t too great; they just tasted like ginger. The fried dumplings and wontons were delicious though and I’d get them again! Interior is nice and spacious with golden warm lamp light(big windows) and plenty of seating for larger parties. KEEP in mind: groups of more than 8 need to call ahead.“

“I come back to town every once in a while since I moved but always try to stop by here when I’m back. Been coming here since I was in high school and it’s still the same. The food is still great! I always get the seafood black bean noodles and it was still delicious when I came back, I also have the crab puffs a try and it was also delicious! “I love them, I love their food, I love playing video poker there and there's a nice warm place to wait when you're waiting for your turn to play on the machines. The people that work there are always friendly and pleasant to be around.

Parking: It's kinda a small parking lot but there's only six machines anyways.“

Expect long waits during peak times. Our first attempt had a 1h+ wait on a weekend dinner, and we only got to try it on our second attempt when we came on a weekday afternoon. This isn’t a place with fancy decor or service, but it is a fun experience with genuinely good food.“
