“Street Wok is an excellent choice if you’re looking for standard Chinese food done exceptionally well. All the regular go-to’s are fresh and well-flavored - sesame chicken, orange chicken, won-ton soup etc. The food is several notches above the usual fare you’ll fine in most US cities. Located in an unremarkable strip mall with basic, almost barren decor, it’s easy to miss. Most people seem to do to-go orders, and the dine-in experience includes a looping Chinese song that played a minimum 12 times during our 30 minute lunch :-)“
“This is one of only a few places that serve Laksa, which is what I was looking for. It was very good, and very filling. When asked, they told me they serve Laksa because the owner was from Singapore. As others have noted, the staff is very nice.“
“One of my top 5 favorite place to eat in PDX. The sesame noodles are bright, fresh, and chewy. Served chilled and perfect for summer time. The pork is tender and perfectly seasoned.I have a difficult time finding food that's not too spicy (seems a current PDX trend). They balance it perfectly. I'd more or less given up on enjoying that mouth numbing delightfulness of the Sichuan peppercorn without being blasted with the heat of a million chilies. But they've found the sweet spot. Prices on par with other places in the area. Plus you can enjoy the food in their neighboring establishment, Holy Ghost.I highly recommend paring any noodle dish with the 5min Gin Fizz!“
“Make sure you find the menu and check what they are selling for the day. They will usually have 2 kinds of noodles they serve with different broth and topping..What brought me here was, I wanted to come here and try the curry chicken vietnamese pho style, but they only serve that on Fri and Sat..They have family restaurants a total of 3 or 4, but only this location open on Monday..When I walked in around 3, they had 2 options of pho. I chose the pho ga which is chicken noodle soup..Pho broth is savory, clean, comforting, and flavorful. My white friends ? doesn't understand why it is good when I told them. So they watched me eat. And then they finally had a sip of the broth they were like wow. It's good chicken broth and my second favorite I have taste. My all time favorite is still in Sacramento ca, pho anh dao for chicken pho..Price was 16.50 for the pho which is high. The quality of the bowl of soup and noodles really made up for it. During the whole trip I needed something comforting, I was missing my soups and asian eats..Overall it was casual restaurant for a lone eating experience. There is a nice parking lot with free parking. Hope this review helps and let me know what you like or I missed out on while in portland. Thanks for reading. Have a yelptastic day.“
“I love this place- I am new to the neighborhood and I've been happy to find this friendly and welcoming spot near my home. The food is delicious and the staff was happy to make a non-spicy version of the spicy beef soup for my niece. They have a lot of good noodle dishes and lots of sides and snacks to choose from. My favorite main dish is the pork tonkatsu ramen bowl, and I love the fried sweet potato side as well as the pork buns. They even have a couple desserts on the menu. This is a nice place to bring family, including kids- it's warm and bright. Last time we were there the tv set was playing nature videos with birds. There's seating at the bar and long, wide tables for groups. I love seeing more people come in when I'm here because Ok Noodle deserves local appreciation!!“
“So glad to have Pho 360 in our neighborhood! Friendly and fast service, nice atmosphere, and good food. Even when they got busy at lunch it wasn't loud in the room. We had the Pho Tofu and salad rolls. Just wished there was chili crisp available on the tables.“
“OMG BESTIE BOO’S, THIS PLACE IS SO GOOD LIKE COME RIGHT NOW IVE BEEN TO THAI AVE A FEW TIMES NOW AND IM IN LOVE VERY SIGMA ?✨? a more proper review; I recommend this Thai restaurant it’s very nice and kid friendly, the fried rice, wonton soup, pad Thai, their curry’s, and Thai tea. I highly recommend this Thai restaurant if you are looking for good Thai food, costumer service, and my little sister who is food picky and she approves as well so I would consider this kid friendly overall 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“Made stop for lunch #2 today, and it was a repeat performance. Not only was it tasty, the portion was large for lunch, probably could have made two meals out of it. Service was great, attentive but not overbearing. We will have to try dinner sometime“
“I have not tried the food, I picked up an order for delivery. The staff is friendly. The young lady who helped is super friendly and helpful. They have a super clean establishment. The men’s restroom was the cleanest restroom in Oregon. I mentioned the clean restroom and the young lady mentioned she cleaned it. Give her a big raise for keeping the place so clean.“
“I like spicey food, but not I hurt you spicey. When we ordered our food, the rating for spicey was mild, medium, or hot. I went with medium. Our waitress was like, you could do a medium +, ".... sounds like a dare Harry."... Ill do it. My chicken pad se ewe cane out great, pnut sauce flavorful, and the drink I has, the whiskey and ginger bits was fantastic. If you like Thai food, hit this place up!“
“It was my first time here and I would be pleased to visit it the next time due to the great service. I got Bun Bo Hue and the broth was tasty. I love the interior decor related to some Vietnamese culture. The staff was quick and friendly. I highly suggest this wonderful restaurant to “
“I highly recommend the Xiao Long Bao; the rich soup and generous filling make it almost perfect. The dry-fried green beans have a rich flavor, and the hot and sour soup is delicious too. Their egg drop soup is a favorite among kids. We also ordered the assorted fried noodles, which had plenty of ingredients and a large portion size. However, some of the pan-fried dumplings(紅油抄手) were overcooked and the skin was too soft. The dry pot series is also highly recommended; we tried the dry pot intestine. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the food here. However, the service is just okay and could be better."“
“Absolute perfection. I recently moved from Seattle and have been trying to find the good pho spots here in Portland. Everything about this place is excellent: the service, timeliness, atmosphere, and, my goodness - the pho. The first sip of the broth was like getting a warm hug from the inside out. Wonderful flavors. The large bowl was HUGE and arrived super fast. Perfect level of staff interaction: not too much, not too little. The place was pretty packed when I went, with a super diverse crowd of people which I always consider a good sign. Absolutely amazing. Can't wait to go back.“
“The staff is very friendly. From order to table is fast. Never been disappointed with the food. When they're busy they're super busy and the hassle bustle atmosphere adds passively to the experience (in my opinion). Must try. We will always keep coming back (since 2014)!“
“Crazy delicious food. Very reasonably priced. The atmosphere of the restaurant itself is upscale with a picturesque bar and friendly service. The food has satisfying portions and packs in a ton of flavor. The noodles of the pad sew ew in particular are bingeworthy with tender cuts of meat and fresh broccoli. My partner enjoys the spiciness of the yellow curry. Variety of dishes on the menu means ordering for groups is a breeze because everyone can find something to enjoy.“
“Literally one of the best Chinese food places I’ve eaten at in the Portland area. I don’t understand any of the under 4-5 star reviews here! Everything we’ve tried from this place has been amazing, incredibly flavorful, nourishing and delicious. The Sour Won Ton Soup, Mongolian Beef Chow Mein, Kung Pao Chow Mein, any of their fried rice, and the rib dishes are some of our favorites. Very reasonably priced as well considering most restaurant pricing these days. They also have a yummy drink menu with bubble teas. Perfect place for a date night, family meal or getting takeout. If you live in Happy Valley and you haven’t tried this place yet…definitely do!!“
“This is one of my favorite places to eat, if you want a recommendation I highly suggest the saute udon with beef (they have vegetarian options if needed). It is amazing, and they are always nice, and take the time to make pretty much everything fresh.“
“Tiny hole in the wall Viet Bun Bo Hue place. If you don't know what that is, you're looking at the wrong place. The menu is simple. The food is great. The atmosphere is simple. The cost is great. Overall, decent place to come. But not a fancy restaurant by any means, any not a PDX Thai restaurant! Set your expectations correctly.“
“My first time in 50 years, and let me say, GREAT!! I went with a group of fine folks who recommended this place. Don't be swayed by the location, it's TOP quality food. We were sat very quickly. The inside ambiance is very quaint. Almost like a family kitchen. Extensive menu choices, including VEGETARIAN options. My food was quite simply delicious! And most importantly, PLENTY of food. Stop by, relax, give them your business and enjoy.“
“Best chow fun in town. Can't get fresher noodles anywhere because they supply most of the Chinese restaurants and stores in town with their noodles. Their fried rice is really good, too. They also make their own tofu, both fresh and fried. Their rice noodle rolls are good, too. just have to get their early in the day because they sell out fast. The owners are some of the nicest people and work extremely hard. Love giving them my business.“
“Delicious Vietnamese food with lots of menu options. Pho Van is a regular favorite when catching up with a friend who lives nearby. Their duck bamboo pho is so good (I've never had such tender bamboo), highly recommend!Vegetarian options: Plenty of good optionsDietary restrictions: Options for many allergies“
“The service was great ! The food was amazing. The place is small, private, and cozy. I loved everything we tried, The Galbu Jjim 10/10. The Pad Thai 10/10. Chicken noodle soup 9/10. The Crab Rangoons were pretty good, and so were the chocolate ribs. The main dishes were the star of the show. Needless to say, I highly recommend this spot.“
“I have ordered take out and delivery from here. I've had good experiences both ways. For take out, they greeted me immediately, took my order, had me pay, then told me how long it would take. I didn't have to wave them down and I felt like they treated me well. The food was prepared surprisingly fast. I was even more surprised by the large portions for the price that I paid. For delivery (via Grubhub), some items aren't available (such as the pepper and onion prawns), but similarly the food was prepared fast with large portions and delivered in a timely manner. So far, I've had their BBQ pork, roasted pork, duck, salt and pepper prawns, fried rice, congee, Big Game A and Big Game B, and wonton soup - all tasted great, not overly salty nor bland, and a great price for large portions. Overall, great experiences!“
“The place is in cartlandia. The entrance can be missed if not familiar with the area. Multiple outdoor seating are available. There is also indoor seating option. You’ll have to get the code from the vendor whom you bought your food. The place can get crowded during busy hours. The ramen miso broth was good. The pork content was a LOT as compared to other places that I have been to. Maybe the vendor just felt being generous when ordered.Be mindful of the birds when you sit outside. They appear to be comfortable with and tend to get too close to the food.“
“Nice atmosphere with good views of the river and fast service despite it being fairly busy. The soup dumplings were good, not the best I've ever had, but so far the best I've had in Portland. Oh, and the cucumber salad is the bomb!“
“They prefer cash but do accept credit cards due to increased merchant fees.Anyways, I drove from Beaverton just to try this spot and I'd do it again since it was worth it. Don't expect a 5 star atmosphere but for what they offer, it hits the spot. I liked it better than the most recent pho (Vietnamese food) I've had. The Chinese donut was delicious too. Not overly sweet. Some might even say not sweet enough. You can modify the type of noodles that the noodle soup comes with. I think I had the thin vermicelli noodles. Others I overheard had the thicker ones.Very laid-back. Limited dine in spots for when they're busy however. But I don't think you can beat the price at this very moment.I ordered the number 9. Brisket and beef noodles.Parking: Lots of graffiti on the fences but there seemed to be plenty of parking when I arrived. May have a difficult time turning left during rush hour however when exiting their premise.“
“The dim sum is good but like most dim sum restaurants, it can get really busy and service can get slow but that's understandable. Crowds stack up fast on weekends so try to get there early or be prepared to wait for a table. I'd say it's the best dim sum in town but it's not like there's too many dim sum options in Portland.“
“I can't pronounce anything that I ordered except for the "Meat Folder," (yes, really) but gosh darn it every single thing they (over)served me was amazing. Street parking only though, save for two tiny spots in the back that even a Vespa would be hard-pressed to fit into.Parking: Park on the street.“
“Spectacular little spot, my Ramen snob coworkers was impressed as was I. Clean, great food, friendly staff, what's not to like?Wheelchair accessibility: The wheelchair parking is a few shops north, where it isn't very busy. This keeps the parking pass pirates away so you will get a spot but have to wheel a ways (both van side and drivers side exits available!). The three of us chose a booth/table combo and it cleared my knees. I had no need for restroom facilities.“
“I have never been to this place in all my life. But today I was at the seafood store next door to this restaurant and I was hungry, so my dad and I decided to check out this place. Our waitress gave us a nice table, and we ordered our food. It came surprisingly quickly and it was delicious. We couldn't finish all the food, so we took it home.In all, this was perfect experience. Customer service was exelent, and the exterior is majestic. It is like you have been transported to another country for a little time if you life.I recommend that everyone come to this restaurant. Trust me, you will not regret it.“
“Went here on a Tuesday just about 10 minutes after opening hours. HK is most definitely that traditional dim sum restaurant place. I got seated quickly, and shortly after was greeted by one of the staff pushing the carts who offered me some food. I got the siu mai, har gow, and steamed BBQ pork buns. Everything tasted great, no complaints on the food. Also they have really great chili oil! One of the better tasting chili oils I've had at a dim sum restaurant. The ambience and the staff there were very welcoming. The way that families interacted with the staff lets you know that HK is that neighborhood spot that families go to often. Price, quantity, quality: 8/10 The food tasted great. I was a bit surprised that I ended up paying about just under $20 for 3 items. It's a bit pricy. Im not too sure if the tea I got was complimentary or if I got charged for it. The pricing would've made sense it if was charged. Overall not bad!“
“This was a great meal! I had the yellow curry which was very good and others loved the pad Thai and green curry dishes. But I’m leaving a review for the nice service! I didn’t expect to be waited on at a place where you order and pay at the register but they cleaned the tables, brought us waters+drinks, meals, and went above and beyond after ordering and sitting down to make sure we had everything we needed for our party of 9 last Saturday afternoon“
“This is our favorite sushi restaurant in portland. The fish I always fresh and Tim is a master sushi chef. They use the same suppliers as the expensive restaurants yet their meals are more affordable. Very kind and sweet family and Tim will make any kind of custom roll you want. My partner and daughter even got rolls named after them (your experience may vary ?).“
“We called in a take out order yesterday and there was some confusion when we picked it up and ended up with one of the wrong entrees. We called them and they were very apologetic. We went back tonight and they comped our entire dinner. That’s great customer service! Bonus that the vermicelli bowls are great too.“
“This little stand in the Happy Valley Food Hall is serving up some REAL Chinese food. I was so impressed with the flavor of their cucumber "salad" which is just so tasty it's addicting - with so much garlic, it'll scare away any virus. Their beef roll is so delicious - I love that it has a great balance of beef and LOTS of scallions which always make it taste so much better. The scallion pancake holding it all together is delicious and not too greasy.I'm not a huge fan usually of battered, fried, sweet chicken, but their General Tso's chicken was really good! I loved the savory/sweetness balance they've accomplished. I plan on working my way thru their entire menu.I can't wait to try everything!“
“Been to Cartlandia several times, this is my first time at the Thai Mango cart. Each time I eat Thai at a new place, I've got a routine meal. Today, the curry component of that - red curry with chicken - was my choice (#22 on their menu).$10 for the meal, I received a take out box with a generous portion of rice, and the medium-spiced red curry. Along with the chicken was included some chunks of potatoes, and sliced carrots and green peppers.First impression, excellent tasting curry. Coconut milk wasn't overwhelming, flavor was spot on. Sometimes curries have one flavor or another that don't go - not in this case. Perhaps there was a bit too much of the carrot, would have liked a bit more chicken and potato but otherwise, a good dish. I'll be back.“
“Our first visit here, though we love Northern Chinese food. We especially enjoyed the Cumin Lamb and the Crispy Fish main dishes. We also enjoyed Chicken Fried Rice and Hot and Sour Soup. Portions are larger than average for Chinese restaurants and that and the very high quality fully justify the prices!“
“My husband is from New Orleans and was pleasantly surprised that the Jambalaya he ordered did not disappoint. Great flavor and generous portion. The young man cooking receives four stars (out of five) he was slightly abrupt but HEY he was alone and had orders to fill.Busy Sunday but we were able to find a table inside out of the chilly wind.“
“We finally decided to try this place since they recently opened to support local businesses and we are so glad we did! We did not try any of the Sushi but the noodle dishes and the beef brisket noodle soup were delicious and flavorful. Everything was very tasty and the portions were large. We will be ordering from here again for sure and we’ll try their Sushi too next time. Definitely worth a try if you are looking for tasty noodle dishes.“
