“Popped into the new location in downtown Gresham tonight. It’s so nice to see the cuisine options evolving. We tried a handful of items and were very pleased with the quality, flavor and value we received. The XLB were savory, deliciously soupy and tender. The clear shrimp dumpling (har gow) were plump. the wrapper was soft, smooth and not slippery at all! The pork shu mai were packed with perfectly seasoned steamed pork. Paired with the chili crisp, these were so good. The bbq pork bao were next level. The filling was moist and flavorful while the outer bun itself was fluffy, soft and delicate. Perfect Combo! The crispy pork belly was exactly as described. Super crispy! The meat was tender and flavorful. We were also given a chocolate mousse to try. boy was I pleasantly surprised. It wasn’t too sweet but was so fluffy and perfectly chocolatey. Hap steam is quaint and cozy. Few seats inside may be an issue for bigger parties. Restaurant is clean and staff is very kind. We will be back.“

“The service could not have been better! I forget our servers name which I feel so bad about but she was funny and very nice! The food, as always was to die for. The albacore, the noodles and chicken dish, and the black pepper shrimp were fabulous! Definitely don't skip dessert and 10/10 drinks! The coconut shake was phenomenal.“

“I got the yuzu miso ramen and my wife got the lime shio ramen. We also got chicken karaage with lemon sriracha aioli. Everything was fantastic. Such a good balance of flavors and just absolutely amazing. The workers were extremely friendly as well. I am 100% coming back here!“

“We ordered monglian beef spicy regular noodles and non spicy kung pao chicken noodles. We also tried the pecking duck roll and crab rangoons and it was served HOT & FAST. The noodles and the rangoons were delicious. The pecking doll roll was very flavorful, however I didn’t expect the cucumber to be in the roll. I enjoyed the freshness to it. If we weren’t traveling from out of town, I’d visit again.“

“Best (and maybe only) handpulled Chinese noodles in the Portland area. The taste is quite on point with the ones I came to love in Northern China.

The only problem is the close early sometimes and aren't open on weekends. If they were, we'd no doubt have gone countless more times.

The spice level is no joke. I like it spicy, but still feel the heat (wouldn't have it any other way).“

“We were looking for late night ears after a concert on a weekday. They were open until midnight, that was all we needed to know. We ordered chicken fried rice, cucumber salad, corn, shrimp skewers, pork belly skewers and the bacon and enoki mushroom skewers. The spice blend on the table (not the spicy one) is MAGIC! It was delicious in everything! We loved the flavors of everything. The skewers had the perfect amount of char without tasting burned. The fried rice was so fresh, some of the best I've had. The cucumber salad was perfectly seasoned and tasted amazing with a bite of that pork belly. I will definitely return for another meal, there are so many more things I want to try.“

“Really enjoyed everything I tried. The meat folder (roujiamo) was crispy and flavorful, the jianbing had delicious texture, and the pork dumplings were tasty as well. Nice flavors to the hong kong style milk tea and the grapefruit lemonade. Good food for good prices. Will be back to try more.“

“Immediately when you walk in and it feels like a great mom and pop noodle shop. The wonton and brisket noodles were easily some of the best I've had. Rich, flavorful beef broth with such a nice chew and bounce from the noodles. The wontons were also large and had minced pork and shrimp inside. The mixed meat congee was also a great order. Hot with plenty of meat that paired nicely with their chinese donut that was thin, not greasy, and so, so good. Also get their refreshing soy milk drink!“

“Food is of amazing quality and very tasty. I will say when someone tells you they want it spicy, make it spicy! I know it comes from trying to not upset the less than heat tolerant palette of many a portlander, but the food quality diminishes when a dish supposed to be spicy is served not hot at all. I got the papaya salad and there was not a single chili in it, despite requesting it to be spicy. Papaya salad is supposed to be a challenge to eat! There is so much flavor in the chilis. The salad was just sweet and sour, missing the entire point of a papaya salad. I can see making it without chili if your customer requests it not spicy, but please dont assume we cannot handle the heat especially when we specifically request it to be very hot“

“First time visit last night with six of us and they are very nicely opened up the toast restaurant and let us sit in there and we had such a nice evening and the waiter was so friendly and wonderful and really helped us out to get acquainted with the offerings we tried the vegetarian potstickers and also the various vegetarian tacos which were really good. Later we each had a vegetarian Ramen and every single one was delicious and I especially liked the one with the tofu and the hard-boiled egg and the spinach. They brought a small container of warm sake for me which I really liked with a tiny cup I got to choose. OverallI gave it a big 10+ and I would definitely eat there again and probably will go back pretty soon. The main thing is to try to find a time when the parking is not completely full in the area be prepared to park a ways away and walk which is good for us so it really wasn’t a problem.“

“Mum Thai has some of the best Asian food I've had! The chicken katsu curry is delicious, the sides can make a meal of themselves, and the owners are on top of the game. I've never had to wait more than 10-15 minutes(with a long line) and its always hot and fresh. This is a regular for my husband and I, you NEED to try it out!“

“Not sure why this place has only 4.2 stars? I consider myself somewhat of a pho connoisseur, and can tell you that this place serves GREAT pho. The broth is yummy and clean, the noodles have great integrity, and the meat was on point! Also had the salad rolls which were very good (as well as the peanut sauce). They also make their chili garlic sauce in house!“

“Don’t judge a book by its cover. Little place not a fancy neighbour hood but the best food and helpful friendly staff. We had the drunken noodle pad Thai and yellow curry and it was over the top making great prices and enough for a lunch!“

“Went there with a friend. Generally, the xia long bao were good, pork and the crab/pork, taro one was very tasty. But the black sesame one were way too sweet, way sweeter than at the branches in the rest of the world, so we had to return it. Sad, as those are one of my favorite. I can’t believe that the restaurant has to adjust sweetness level to that extend to make locals like it.
