“Popped into the new location in downtown Gresham tonight. It’s so nice to see the cuisine options evolving. We tried a handful of items and were very pleased with the quality, flavor and value we received. The XLB were savory, deliciously soupy and tender. The clear shrimp dumpling (har gow) were plump. the wrapper was soft, smooth and not slippery at all! The pork shu mai were packed with perfectly seasoned steamed pork. Paired with the chili crisp, these were so good. The bbq pork bao were next level. The filling was moist and flavorful while the outer bun itself was fluffy, soft and delicate. Perfect Combo! The crispy pork belly was exactly as described. Super crispy! The meat was tender and flavorful. We were also given a chocolate mousse to try. boy was I pleasantly surprised. It wasn’t too sweet but was so fluffy and perfectly chocolatey. Hap steam is quaint and cozy. Few seats inside may be an issue for bigger parties. Restaurant is clean and staff is very kind. We will be back.“

“I got the yuzu miso ramen and my wife got the lime shio ramen. We also got chicken karaage with lemon sriracha aioli. Everything was fantastic. Such a good balance of flavors and just absolutely amazing. The workers were extremely friendly as well. I am 100% coming back here!“

“We tried the sautéed green beans and they were absolutely fantastic! Perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. The popcorn chicken was also heavenly (crispy, juicy, completely addictive), and the pork chive wontons were also really good — fresh and super satisfying. Everything felt thoughtful and delicious. “They have the best Thai Iced Tea I have had. My friend liked it so much she got one to go. Great service and good portions. I would say maybe try the low sodium option first that they offer as the regular sauce on my dish was a bit salty for me. But I will eqt here again next time I am at Powell's.“

“Love the experience, food is excellent. Chrysanthemum greens were a little tough, put all the flavors are there. Smart hospitality people throughout... Professional, efficient and friendly.
I'm a whole plant-based eater and had a great day however I wouldn't consider it the most healthy since I don't eat fried foods and use sugar or much oil.
For going out it's really 5 stars... I love good food and restaurants that are passionate about what they do, not just making money. This hits all cylinders.“

“Food tasted very fresh and the flavors were wonderful. They have a dispenser on the tables with mixed spices (not spicy), and one with spicy contents. I used the non-spicy powder on my Chow Mein and I was loving the flavor combinations. They also used this powder on our king oyster mushroom BBQ skewers. I think what stood out most to me was the menu variety. I admittedly couldn’t order most items because of dietary restrictions and the large amount of spicy foods, but I still love to see so many uncommon options.“

Congratulations on the second location in Hillsboro. I’ve been going to the Portland location for the past three years, and it’s always been one of my favorites. Family-owned, consistently good, and the owner has always been incredibly kind and welcoming.

It’s exciting to see the expansion, and you can tell there’s a lot of heart behind this business. The food continues to deliver with rich, flavorful broth and quality ingredients that keep me coming back.

“LOVE their massive gluten free dumpling! And the pork ribs are incredible. Friendly for those with gluten and wheat allergies. The fried chicken is ok but the braised ribs are much better. They fall off the bone and melt in your mouth!

Wasn’t a fan of their alcoholic bevies that I tried about a year ago but they’ve expanded into a sister bar next door so I’d give the cocktails another try now.

Great food and service, consistent quality and love the decor inside as well. Plenty of outdoor seating too! Don’t skip out on this place or their dumpling. Kudos to the owner and chef!“

“I enjoyed my experience at Xin Ding. The person who entertained us, Claire, showed me what to do (and what to avoid doing) when it comes to soup dumplings. I can't thank her enough, because it would have been a 'whole thing' if I would have burned myself at the table.
Interesting cocktails, sake and draft beers live here- TV's too. Visited on Super Bowl Sunday and sat comfortably watching the game.
I would definitely let someone bring me here to eat again.
Also, Claire told us about which sakes were more dry and which were on the sweet side, and so many other things because I asked beyond too many questions. She was patient. I'm glad she knows her stuff, I was confident in my order.

“I get my haircut in the area and my barber recommended this spot—really glad he did. The food here is excellent and the portions are generous. After first trying it, I ended up coming back about once a week for a month. The roasted duck is one of my favorite dishes, and everything I’ve had has been consistently good. “Immediately when you walk in and it feels like a great mom and pop noodle shop. The wonton and brisket noodles were easily some of the best I've had. Rich, flavorful beef broth with such a nice chew and bounce from the noodles. The wontons were also large and had minced pork and shrimp inside. The mixed meat congee was also a great order. Hot with plenty of meat that paired nicely with their chinese donut that was thin, not greasy, and so, so good. Also get their refreshing soy milk drink!“

“I was hesitant to go here because it’s right on Powell and I didn’t care for the previous businesses that occupied this space but I’m glad I got over that because the food is amazing.

I’ve been very happy with their Khao Pad, Pad Kee Mao, Pad Cashew Nut, Pad See Ew, and of course their Pad Thai. My partner loves their curry.

The staff is very friendly and the environment is comfortable. Large bar selection too. Highly recommended!“

There are only a handful worth going to this is one. We don't really have top top tier dim sum like Cali, Seattle, Vancouver does but our several SE spots are alright.

HK Cafe was mediocre the last 3-4 times we went so we don't go there anymore. We also heard about some nasty health code violations 🤢“

“First time visit last night with six of us and they are very nicely opened up the toast restaurant and let us sit in there and we had such a nice evening and the waiter was so friendly and wonderful and really helped us out to get acquainted with the offerings we tried the vegetarian potstickers and also the various vegetarian tacos which were really good. Later we each had a vegetarian Ramen and every single one was delicious and I especially liked the one with the tofu and the hard-boiled egg and the spinach. They brought a small container of warm sake for me which I really liked with a tiny cup I got to choose. OverallI gave it a big 10+ and I would definitely eat there again and probably will go back pretty soon. The main thing is to try to find a time when the parking is not completely full in the area be prepared to park a ways away and walk which is good for us so it really wasn’t a problem.“
