“The service could not have been better! I forget our servers name which I feel so bad about but she was funny and very nice! The food, as always was to die for. “Best (and maybe only) handpulled Chinese noodles in the Portland area. The taste is quite on point with the ones I came to love in Northern China.

The only problem is the close early sometimes and aren't open on weekends. If they were, we'd no doubt have gone countless more times.

“We were looking for late night ears after a concert on a weekday. They were open until midnight, that was all we needed to know. We ordered chicken fried rice, cucumber salad, corn, shrimp skewers, pork belly skewers and the bacon and enoki mushroom skewers. The spice blend on the table (not the spicy one) is MAGIC! It was delicious in everything! We loved the flavors of everything. The skewers had the perfect amount of char without tasting burned. The fried rice was so fresh, some of the best I've had. The cucumber salad was perfectly seasoned and tasted amazing with a bite of that pork belly. I will definitely return for another meal, there are so many more things I want to try.“

“Immediately when you walk in and it feels like a great mom and pop noodle shop. The wonton and brisket noodles were easily some of the best I've had. Rich, flavorful beef broth with such a nice chew and bounce from the noodles. The wontons were also large and had minced pork and shrimp inside. The mixed meat congee was also a great order. Hot with plenty of meat that paired nicely with their chinese donut that was thin, not greasy, and so, so good. Also get their refreshing soy milk drink!“

I know it comes from trying to not upset the less than heat tolerant palette of many a portlander, but the food quality diminishes when a dish supposed to be spicy is served not hot at all. I got the papaya salad and there was not a single chili in it, despite requesting it to be spicy. Papaya salad is supposed to be a challenge to eat! There is so much flavor in the chilis. The salad was just sweet and sour, missing the entire point of a papaya salad. I can see making it without chili if your customer requests it not spicy, but please dont assume we cannot handle the heat especially when we specifically request it to be very hot“

“Best chow fun in town. Can't get fresher noodles anywhere because they supply most of the Chinese restaurants and stores in town with their noodles. Their fried rice is really good, too. They also make their own tofu, both fresh and fried. Their rice noodle rolls are good, too. just have to get their early in the day because they sell out fast. The owners are some of the nicest people and work extremely hard. Love giving them my business.“

“What a great little gem! I love the ability to choose my ingredients and have someone else cook them! You can load up on as many veggies, meat and noodle combinations as you want. There are also a great many different sauces and oils to choose from. Shrimp, chicken, pork, beef and fish! Pick one, pick two, pick them all! The veggies were nicely sliced and fresh.
The restaurant was clean and comfortable and the staff were exceptionally kind. They were helpful, attentive and just plain old sweet! If I am ever in the area, I would certainly come back again!“

“First time visit last night with six of us and they are very nicely opened up the toast restaurant and let us sit in there and we had such a nice evening and the waiter was so friendly and wonderful and really helped us out to get acquainted with the offerings we tried the vegetarian potstickers and also the various vegetarian tacos which were really good. Later we each had a vegetarian Ramen and every single one was delicious and I especially liked the one with the tofu and the hard-boiled egg and the spinach. They brought a small container of warm sake for me which I really liked with a tiny cup I got to choose. OverallI gave it a big 10+ and I would definitely eat there again and probably will go back pretty soon. The main thing is to try to find a time when the parking is not completely full in the area be prepared to park a ways away and walk which is good for us so it really wasn’t a problem.“

“Excellent food. We had the P1 mixed vegetables and papaya salad and loved it. I’ve tried other Thai restaurants in the greater Portland area and so far this is my favorite. Just be aware when asked how spicy you want something that 2 out of a scale of 1-5 is very spicy 😅“
