“A group of 5 of us visited Dish last night and the meals were amazing. Grilled Squid, the best I have ever had. Where else can you find it not breaded and fried? Add to that their amazing sardines so fresh and good. Pasta Funghi another high. Exquisite detail to taste in every dish. The owners go way out of their way to make you feel welcomed and happy and very satisfied. A must visit when you are lucky enough to get a reservation though other friends have happily sat at the bar for dinner just to be there!! Kudos to Dish!“

“This location was recommended for a medical school reunion in Pittsburgh by our alumni association. The food was excellent and the portions very generous. We did the family style dining for a large group, and it was very well received. One of my Italian classmates sate the the Cacio e Pepe was the best that he had tasted outside of Milan. I would strongly recommend this location for really first rate Italian food and a great atmosphere“

“We were there on Saturday at 4pm. Parking lot already had at least 1/2 dozen cars. Did not have reservation so decided to eat at bar. I have never eaten at bar seating before so I wasn’t sure if I would like it. Let me tell you, it was so enjoyable! The bar was completely full within 15 minutes and the bartender was awesome. She was so friendly and competent. Complete pro!! No one was ever waiting for anything! Food was delicious. I will definitely sit at this bar and eat anytime.“

The wait staff and bartenders are not only good but enjoy what they do and are just pleasant. “My son and I had dinner for Mother’s Day. Our first experience at this restaurant. Aside from a small miscommunication where the side dishes were delivered to the table alongside the apps, everything was very good. They corrected the sides and delivered fresh with the entrees, the sides were easily large enough to share amongst three or four people and the food was very good. The app, sides and entrees, as well as the gluten free chocolate cake were all delicious. I definitely recommend this restaurant and plan to return.“

“Group of four had a wonderful experience dining outside. Service from our waitress was wonderful - she made the experience even more pleasant. Whipped rocotta and buckwheat bread is not to be missed as a shared starter. Dinners arrived a bit late but was totally worth the wait. Everything was cooked to perfection. Chicken parmesan was excellent and portion large enough for another meal at home. Rack of lamb and mushroom pasta dish also wonderful. Sides are large enough to share. Restaurant Group surcharge added to the bill was questionable since prices already on the high side. But overall a great place for a special night out.“

“We have been going to Piccolo Forno for years. It is my favorite restaurant. The staff is outstanding. The food is creative and menu items are changed regularly to make use of seasonal ingredients. There are so many delicious choices on the menu that it is difficult to decide what to order. The food is reasonably priced and the corkage fee is less than most restaurants. This restaurant is a gem for anyone who loves delicious Italian food!“

“my boyfriend and i tried pelegrino’s after we got sent a menu from them in the mail. we each got a pizza, and the cost was INCREDIBLY lower than the other pizza places we’ve ordered from. they deliver as well, which is nice. what i also appreciate about pelegrino’s is the option for online ordering, which allows me to pay & tip so i don’t have to fumble whenever the delivery comes. it takes some time, but it’s always worth the wait; we’ve never been disappointed!! this is our go to pizza spot!!“

“Best pizza in Pittsburgh, in my humble opinion. The service is always fantastic, and the pizza is second to none. It's a little on the expensive side, but very well worth it. Worth a try if you're in the Oakland/North Oakland area and want a very competent, traditional pizza. The other dishes are less enjoyable, though.“

“It's like being at your favorite dinner table with family and friends! With our beautiful Italian family gathering around the bar area in numbers of about 15 Friday night, we had a blast! Yes, Joe is our cousin and that is definitely warm and wonderful but Louise, Joe's matriarch, was there too which made it extra special. “This is my pizza place. Everyone has their choice, and this one is mine. Florence serves a fantastic cheese pizza with a slightly crispy crust with a perfect balance of sauce and cheese. They don't spoil their cheese pizza with provolone and have a great sauce that isn't sweet and holds on the pizza perfectly.

Florence also offers other food that is great. Their pesto margarita was a wonderful change of pace with a homemade pesto sauce lovely globs of mozz.

The choices of 5 sizes of pizza allow you to get a small pie if it is just you at home or a jumbo pie that feeds the whole family.

Their store is small up front, but they make up for it with some of the nicest folks in Pittsburgh. New to the area, they are loving the town here and quickly making themselves at home here in the North Hills.

In a town that has a pizza shop in every plaza, Florence stands out with high-quality ingredients, great pizza, and a fantastic family run shop. I look forward to many more delicious pizzas and lots of other options from their menu.“

The food was yummy, our server was excellent, and we got our catering squared away! They chose Olive Garden since there is a great variety for vegetarians and carnivores. Her side is all vegetarians, while ours is primarily carnivores. The pasta stations worked great for this! Plus, the lasagna is an add on vegetarian option. Plenty of salad and breadsticks and the menu was set perfectly!
The day of the wedding the food arrived on time, was set-up for us, and was hot and delicious! They were outstanding!

Vegetarian options: My daughter-in-law and her entire family are vegetarians, while my son and our side are not. Olive Garden works great for both the vegetarians and the carnivores! Everyone loved the food, had great choices, and plenty to eat!“
