“This is a classic, great spot. It is not a regular place for us but it's worth the drive. It has been around for years but they always keep it fresh! It never disappoints! The food menu has something for everyone and has unique offerings. The whiskey, beer and drink menu will have you coming back to try something new every time! We happened to stop in during their Octoberfest and I enjoyed the wurst platter with rotkohl and spätzle. 👌“

Located across from Ed Staback Memorial Park and in the Club at the Highlands shopping plaza, my friends and I always feel it's well worth driving the extra three miles to dine there. Its menu is so extensive that, even though we've been there over 40 times, we're usually tempted to try something new. That's because we can count on the ingredients being fresh and the meal tasting delicious. Portions are especially generous and prices are reasonable. The friendly staff adds to the welcoming atmosphere of this neighborhood gem.“

“BIG SURPRISE how good this place was. It's similar to the Seasons 52 concept (including the individual mini desserts in small glasses). Fresh and seasonal menu items, nearly all of which are heart healthy choices but still very good. We were a large party and our server, Lexi, was fantastic. Friendly and efficient. Reasonable prices. Nice atmosphere. Elevated casual. Definitely the best restaurant experience we had in Moosic. Highly recommend.“

“Scrantons own hidden gem! Served a delicious sausage and cheese omlete with homefries cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside, soft and warm inside. When asked about gluten free bread they were extremely accommodating, and toasted a gluten free roll to go with my breakfast. Service was great. No frills diner, great service and food. Great wait staff. I always bring my friends for breakfast Saturday and it never disappoints! Coffee is great and free flowing. They get busy right about 10:00AM but the waitresses keep up quite efficiently. Love the veggie omelette!“

“I had the most delicious Chicken Francaise at the Club at the Highlands tonight, accompanied by mashed potatoes and zucchini superbly prepared and artfully presented. The sauce was to die for! I had a generous side salad that came with my meal. My companion had the round Archbald pizza that was a considerable size for a very reasonable $12! We both enjoyed an Alligash draft beer. It was a quiet night, the dining room was comfortable with a nice ambience and our very attentive server took care of us quickly. All in all, we thought the food, service and atmosphere were excellent. We enjoyed our meal at The Highlands very, very much!“

“RECOMMEND if you want your meal ruined and get ignored and leave hungry! Awful experience! Rude staff! Ignored us for almost an hour and would not bus open tables. We cleaned our own and got ourselves cutlery and menus. They ignored us longer and left us at a filthy table while others came in and were served. They said they were understaffed . People kept getting clams (clam night) and then we heard a waiter say no more clams. No excuse for this nastiness! I will tell everyone about this experience. Totally ignorant! Stay away! RUDE! Especially 2 female servers.“

He had veal parmigiana w linguine & salad. I had pappardelle bolognese w italian wedding soup. The bread was warm w oil for dipping & the entrees served hot as they should be. (it was obvious that nothing was sitting waiting to come out of the kitchen)

The waitstaff are super friendly & attentive and the cocktails- a bloody mary & tiramisu martini were excellent!

Dessert was brownie ala mode w a candle & song for hubs, and tiramisu for me.

My husband and I visited for dinner this weekend to celebrate my birthday, and while I knew the experience and presentation would be wonderful, I’d like to share how fantastic the food was, as well. I have one question who's idea was it to End all this who's idea was it to make Carbondale a dead town cisco had many owners always had good food some better then others you go down main street and it looks like some one punched main street in the mouth half the building gone knocked down for what Carbondale was a place the stars came to Jacky Gleason daughter got married here the best pool playes in the world played here and some on the best music came out of this little town we had it all but some one thought it wasn't a great idea so your kids suffer it's a Dam shame under main street covered over with black top is brick roads now we half to put black top down every other years back then a brick brakes you replace the brick our leaders are ti blame your kids are left to the trouble you left them not there fault“
